Help Me w/ My Project, BG! (homewoners)

I'm taking an Engineering Economic Analysis class and for extra credit I have to do a report about a "Truth in Lending" (TIL) and "HUD-1," the problem is I can't find either. These documents are given to those who ask for loans to buy say a house. I asked one of my friends, but his folks placed those documents god knows where and didn't find jack shit.

If anyone is kind enough to share those documents I'd be grateful. Also, those documents do not have any sensitive data, you can whiteout your name, all I care is about the interest rates, changes over time, and loan figures.

PS: I couldn't find anything in the internet, although the professor didn't want anything from it. But fuck that, I'll take w/e if you stumble upon one let me know...

Are you talking about the Truth in Lending Act? If so the wikipedia entry is a good place to start.

No, the actual documents they get when folks ask for loans. By law the borrowers are given such documents that states their % rates and increments, albeit, hella confusing. That's how they get swindled and end up paying a shiton ;x

Well not sure if it'll help but the wikipedia page links to a Truth in Lending handbook from the office of comptroller of banks or something that provides examples of how to calculate a lot of that shit. Not sure how handy it is but meh maybe it'll help. Get it here.

I would contact some local real estate companies. I think most of the time, at least here, they have a specialist on payroll who deals specifically with lendors and helping people get mortgages. I would think they would at least have information, and perhaps be able to do up a mock document for you if they are willing.

Do you want the actual numbers and stuff? I happen to have all of my loan paper work here today because Im going to scan it. I just bought a house and I have all of it.

I however, didn't get a HUD-1 I got a VAHD / VA loan.

Yeah, that's what I'm looking for and the actual numbers because I'll figure out:

• Total cost of loan
• Total interest to be paid
• The APR
• Monthly payments
