Looks like a freaking Locust/Chimeran puppeteer..![]()
Dammit i cant find it now but there was this pond of some liquid found underwater with things living under its surface. They couldn't explore tho cause they kept getting pushed back up when trying to go in. Some denser then water stuff.
Looks like something you'd see from Half Life, inc. head crabs.
On a serious note, I fucking hate spiders but shit like this is awesome to me. No idea why.
what I find most interesting is how long those things have survived down there. Obviously they must have themselves a food chain and mating system, it's very fascinating stuff.
I wonder what that squid would taste like. Would it be like normal squid or chewy due to the pressure of the water down there.
Man i would die to have a taste of that thing.
What trips me out the most is the implications to these kinds of discoveries. When these kinds of living organisms that don't need to rely on light or oxygen are discovered, it significantly increases the possibility of life outside of Earth. One of Jupiter's moon Europa is under a great deal of suspicion of being able to sustain such life-forms.
A majority of the shit they pull up from miles below the ocean looks horrendous because of they live under insane water pressure and when it's brought up it just turns into a blob. Also because they don't really need pigment/coloring.
Deep deep deep sea is one of my biggest fears. The shit that's down there is about as close to the definition of "monster" as one can get. Not to mention that everything moves in 3 dimensions. Just looking at those issues of National Geographic back in the 80's gave me the heebie jeebies. I'd like to see some pictures, but not in a billion years would I ever set foot in a bathysphere.
That looks nothing at all like a Xzomit.
I am still waiting for my Hadalpelagic survival horror game. With no machine guns.
This is what happens when we keep dumping those chemicals and pesticides and shit into the gulf, through the Mississippi River water table. Next thing you know, they're start growing hands and opposable thumbs. Before long they'll learn how to make and use tools, and after that, its only a matter time before their armies rise up and enslave mankind to do their bidding in their deepsea petroleum mines.
i like to see whats down there, but just so long as im not going down there seeing it lol
You're referring to blue holes, right? Really interesting stuff. When I was younger I wanted to be a marine biologist. It fascinated me that we've explored so little of our planet's oceans and they take up such a vast amount of space on earth. Of course, it also scares the shit out of me to think of some of the massive creatures that could be living in some of the deep sea trenches and stuff. I really just wanted to dive to the wreck of the Titanic though. ;_;
Underwater shit scares me, I can't play video games anymore that have underwater levels where I can't see the bottom of the water... Even world of warcraft scares the fuck out of me. Like when you're swimming and you go to the edge of the map and its like a big drop off to blue depths.... FUCK
