What are you gearing/gemming for and what are your glyphs? And what spells do you typically use?
Resto Druid isn't the class for topping people off (with spells like Holy Light, Flash Heal, etc.) but what we are good at is soaking up a lot of damage via hots. The only time I ever used Nourish was when I was either tank+raid healing or solo healing something.
I think I was just under utilizing my hots, still in that FFXI healer mentality of spamming heals. I was instantly topping the chart in 10toc once I got aggressive with wild growth and rejuv. Remains to be seen if I'll get any improvement in 25h.
How much hit rating do I need as a rogue with 5/5 Precision? I've read around and I can't figure this shit out. I'm at 351 (10.7%) right now.
yeah 315 is your magic number. to cap white attacks its something absurd in the 700s.
In raids you can cap poison a bit easier with raid buffs so if you have to go under 315 you can without gimping yourself too much.
To be exact
5/5 Precision only: Poison cap is 315 hit rating
5/5 Precision + Improved Faerie Fire OR Misery on the target: 237 hit rating
5/5 Precision + Imp. FF/Misery AND a Draenei in your group: 210 hit rating
Horde rogues will want to stay above 237 hit rating assuming 25 man content, otherwise stay above 315 if you're in a lot of 10-mans and neither spell hit% buff is on your target 100% of the time. Past that use the spreadsheet to calculate the value of extra hit on a gear upgrade.
Any of you spreadsheet using rogues know how to make the SS calculate ruptureless rotations? Using the combat SS btw. I imagine once I switch to combat going ruptureless will be preferred but I can't figure out how to change what finishers I use on the SS.
First sheet on the combat sheet just change the Cycle Type

Then fill in the Min X/Y and energy pooling settings you use.
Ruptureless cycles afaik also entirely depend on having pretty much full Heroic 25-man ToC gear for them to outstrip builds that use Rupture.
Recently re-activated my lowly 40-something Frost Mage and wondering what stats I should be looking at in gear for levelling.
Should I be keeping lower level gear with Spell Power+ or should I replace it with straight stuff with more Intellect but no bonus to Spell Power?
Also, there any point in Mining Bags at low levels or better off with traditional ones considering I'm likely dropping Mining and/or Skinning later to pick up Tailoring.
sp > most others at low levels since it's the only thing that will boost your dmg significantly and if you are low on mana you can make your own drinkypoos, no need to run to town and restock on water like less fortunate classes.
as you get higher, sp > haste = crit > base stats (varies by spec but that's it basically) after you take shatter talent your crit will be increased anyway. a lot of vanilla gear has little to no SP so just take SP where you can get it and fill the rest with stamina (especially if on pvp server) and intellect. spirit is crap atm as i recall, you don't even benefit from it at all dps wise till mid 60s so avoid those int/spirit only type gear unless there's nothing else to choose from.
tbh 4x netherweave bags will do you fine to 80, can pick up cheap profession bags but i wouldn't call it a necessity as long as you post away your gathered mats to a bank alt at regular intervals.
Spellpower till gear starts having haste/crit on it then it's something like SP > Haste > Crit / Intellect / Spirit. With Molten Armor up if a piece of gear has a certain amount of spirit it can be better with another piece with straight crit on it.
What SS is this, it doesn't look like the one I dl'd from EJ site, plus my first sheet is gear or something.. I don't have 4pc tier 8 so the switch point for me is a fair bit sooner I'd imagine. On my mut SS having that 4 piece bonus is like 250-350 dps or something like that which is pretty huge.
wanted to touch on this a little.
Don't neglect stamina and intellect on your leveling gear. Surviving an encounter (with adds, pvp while questing, whatever) will do alot more for you than a few little spell power, until you can really start stacking it.
If you feel that a couple pieces you're wearing are getting long in the tooth, search "of the eagle" on the AH and there might be a stam+intel green for cheap-ish.
Once you cross over into BC, the quest greens will start getting a ton better, and if you can snag some blues from instances they can be quite nice as well.
and to add to the frost mage stuff; don't use molten armor. use ice. up until, and hell through northrend you won't have enough spirit and baseline crit to make it at all worthwhile. Most of your leveling will be by rounding up 10 or so quest mobs and nuking em down, so the armor boost will help you alot more than molten will. (meaning you're bound to get tagged through your shields as you rounding mobs up, it's gonna happen).
Single target wise, if you're getting hit you need to reroll. 5% crit is better than armor which never gets used. Actually, you probably won't want to use Ice Armor for aoeing either as it slows mobs down. Ice barrier holds for more than long enough to gather quest mobs as long as you're mounted but if they're slowed, ice barrier tends to break before they're all in range.
I'm using Vef's updated versions of Vula's sheets:

I stopped using Aldriana's because they are a piece of shit.
