Oh, for a new people on ToGC10 Anub, is it 2 healed or 3 healed? Like which is better for begginers who aren't shitting out a whole lot of dps?
I wouldn't bother re gemming at all, and if you really feel you have to get the orange gems with +agi +hit, or +atk+hit and put them in yellow sockets for the slot bonuses if you don't have them already. The 2 piece bonus isn't amazing but for me I think it's a 50-80 dps bonus from the SS I use. It's also fairly useful for heavy aoes as you have DP ticking on tons of mobs giving you a lot of nrg.
As I geared my rogue up I noticed a pattern of not enough expertise and hit -> enough or too much expertise and Ok but not capped hit -> lots of hit and expertise -> more hit and expertise being very hard to find with new upgrades offering none but lots of other stats. If I went pure ilvl increases from toc 25 and what I have seen drop/rolled on I would only have expertise on my throwing weapon. What should be good upgrades to chest and belt are dps losses because I would lose nearly all my expertise.
So, moral of the story is that 'fixing' your hit now may be worthless as the stats you get are likely to vary a lot.
Is Enduring Winter worth taking for frost? Thinking levelling and BGs.
Put one point in it to give it a test and was planning to max it out but then read that it cripples itself because too many procs would hurt the mana regen since you're constantly re-starting ticks.
2 heal.
Set up your groups so you have the following in each group: 1 Resto shaman, OR 1 Vamp Embrace + DPS Shaman, 1 Group of Melee + DPS Sham or Vamp Embrace
Essentially, you want a passive aoe group heal happening that is strong enough. JOL is usually not enough unless you pair it with another weaker group heal. A glyphed pretty geared resto shaman can drop a HST and it'll keep that group alive.
Have pally beacon two tanks, bomb heals. 2nd healer can honestly help DPS until P3. Have him only heal people who get penetrating cold. You win. Have an NR aura up too. It may seem scary that people sit at 5-10% health but they will not die, ever. Just whack-a-mole the penetrating cold with Grid Raid Status Icons add-on and you'll have a very easy time with it.
You just made me realize why we've been struggling with Anub lol. Not wiping, but being extremely damn close... like our insanity was won by a shaman ankhing and finishing the last 3k hp.
We have no NR aura, no pally healer, and no spriest lol.
Also, the answer to any rogue question atm is pretty much "4 piece t8 unless you're looking at 4 piece 258 t9."
Don't forget the extended duration of your Water Elemental. I still manage to get pretty low on mana if i'm doing a quest which requires a lot of kills, especially if AOEing and that's with 3 points in it so i'd say it's worth taking, you should have enough time between your casts for it to tick as you won't have enough haste like you would at 80.
The only place it becomes a problem is in a raid where the only spell you'll be casting is Frostbolt, where you shouldn't be speccing Frost anyways.
Tank/ret pally can still judge light. Also feral druid can heal similarly with LoTP. Any healing priest could throw in a down-ranked holy nova every ~5 seconds between PC healing. I'm sure there are other little things.
they fixed this issue. Replenishment doesn't refresh until more than 6(?) seconds after application
how would that work? if you have no one to stack bleeds for you how do you keep hunger for blood up?
In a 25man you most likely will have someone else there to stick a bleed on the target (wars, feral druid, other rogues who happen to not be at the ruptureless point). 10man's it can be more of an issue; if you have no one there to stick a bleed up for you, opening with garrote is best, then with good luck with ruthlessness talent, you can just throw up a 1cp rupture and refresh with that midfight. I actually have that issue sometimes in my 10man group when our warrior does not show up.
Recently started PVPing as ret paladin. Doing a Holy+Ret 2v2 team. managed to get to 1350 rating after 2 weeks (no real PVP gear to speak of) but it's starting to get really hard to gain any rating atm, so I'm looking for ways to improve.
Was wondering a bit about enchants... should I still be using Berserking for weapon or go for massacre? and maybe switch my rockets on my gloves out for the ap enchants instead? +any ret pvp pointers are welcome xP
The best advice I can give is keep the exact same gear except switch your 2h for a slow 1h and a shield and go with prot dps.
Same damage potential, more bursty, better control, better survivability.
It's funny because prot is not *that* great of a healer or a dps spec... but it's still better at 2's healing than holy and better at dpsing in any bracket than ret.
What are the potions or things you guys use during anub phase 3 for penetrated cold? Greater frost protection potion?
Nature protect for the leeching swarm I'd think? Or is it more so penetrating cold doesn't gib someone at low hp and they have time to react?
