True. Gdi I can't wait til friday for togc10 :/
Hokay, Hunter here pretty much still new to WoW. Some random noob like questions for you here.
1) macros.
I need to make a misdirection macro simply because it's starting to annoy me. I have tried an add on for it but it doesn't seem to work as well as I'd like. That or I'm just not using it right. I don't mind if I have to make a macro where I change the name of the target before a raid/dungeon etc. I just don't know how to! Too used to simple FF macros, looking at WoW macros make my eyes glaze over. ;_;
2) Nub question. When you socket your armour you can't resocket right?
you can resocket. just open the socket tab on the item and drop the new gems in place of the old. the old gems are destroyed in the process, though.
We dropped this last week for the first time, and did orginally try to two heal it. We ended up in a situation where our healers weren't choice. We didn't get a shaman, and basically had a druid and a pally. This technically should be enough, but it just plain wasn't.
We had our SPriest switch back to Holy and one-shotted it after that.
If your DPS is up to par (which is really should be anyway), 3 healing it isn't going to make it amazingly difficult to wear down. Play it out, give it a try, if you have people who have dps/healy specs, try both, see what works.
dear jesus just tried prot dpsing arena. shit is easymode compared to before xP I do miss repentance though, but oh well. Why would I want a slow main hand btw? didn't think prot had anything which dmg scaled with speed? <.< seal of corruption?
All seals basically scale somewhat with speed fairly effectively in arena simply due to the fact that you're not getting a swing off every single time the timer is up, so you want to hit harder when you do. For that reason alone every seal is better with a slow weapon in pvp, but there's more.
Reckoning is a huge damage boost for the time that it's up, and with enough ap and a slow weapon can be devastating when your burst is coordinated around it. (each swing during reckoning, with any damage seal up and a 2.6 weapon will do considerably more damage than, say, a HotR)
The 2 basic builds are:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Which would use SoR generally, and is a bit more "advanced" of a style.
or this:
Talent Calculator - World of Warcraft
Which is what I would recommend for starting out with the spec. You'd use command, which would give you a little more unpredictable random damage but a little less controlled burst, but it takes some pressure off the mana issues we have (and in a way that's very comfortable for someone coming from ret).
oh rofl. I was just sporting corruption for those fights. I'll give the command spec a try, since I found myself oom at bad times.
Quick question, if I'm tanking reg 5 mans on my lvl 73 pally should I worry too much about def rating? I've got 112 def rating on my current gear and hadn't been running into problems until a holy pally claimed I had too low of def during an Old Kingdom run today. I know there are a ton of guides out there for getting "uncrushable" status at lvl 80 but I've yet to see much info on gear while leveling (especially when you're closer to lvl 70) so I thought I'd ask here.
While leveling I really wouldnt worry about it.
Ok, that's what I thought would be the case. Lots of stuff happened during the run that led me to think the healer was just using me as a scapegoat for his issues but I wanted to make sure I wasn't going around missing something important as a tank.
Just to clarify, mix and match defence gear where you can, dont go in with a stupid spec and expect a sword and board to save all sins.
Undead or Human Mage? Currently Blood Elf but I can't quite decide. Undead will be more expensive as horde on my server sucks ass but to be honest i'd like to switch anyways. Rank 100+ ftw.
The only advantage human mages have over undead is the 3% spirit buff. Undead look cooler casting everything, though.
And why is the choice one between race change and faction change?
