I solod most of my 3person elite quest mobs on my enhance shaman. Pop puppies > faceroll > healing wave off of mealstrom weapon if needed = e z p z.
..You realize non-retarded tanks and DPS can interrupt every one of Paletress' spells, right? She's interruptible even when in bubble.
Also, as long as you stack on the tank during Black Knight P3, a good healer should be able to heal through it for several minutes. The closer you are to him the less damage he does in P3.
Didn't know that about p3 myself, lol
And I thought she was only interruptable in normal...could swear I tried it once for giggles. Either way I only have one stun every 60 sec and getting dps who are still in greens to do it is out of the question
I've only ever had problems twice, I don't concern myself too much about it.
Also, her heals on the memory can be spell stolen ;p
I hate those. I've soloed everything in IC so far and could probably keep doing it if not for the gimmicks that require the extra bodies.
Are you sure about that? I never have problems regardless of how far away people are standing. I'm fairly sure that's a misconception though due to Marked for Death/Death's Bite both increasing the damage you take.

Okay, Moonkin gearing question.
Armory is here: The World of Warcraft Armory
I've been saving up Triumph badges as I got a trophy not too long ago. I'd been planning on using it on Malfurion's Trousers of Triumph (as I'd be able to un-gem and un-enchant hit again), but I've heard that the head and chest are the best pieces to upgrade to (currently sporting 8.5 head/chest).
The thing is... the only other 8.5 piece I have is hands (which I replaced with 9 awhile ago), so which would be the better piece to upgrade? Replace either my 8.5 head or chest, or stick with my original plan and replace my legs?
I'm really kinda torn on this one. :\
Why would you spend emblems on gloves or legs when you can hit the jackpot and get them in VoA? Spend emblems on everything else first, then get those pieces afterwards.
But you know that the second you spend your emblems that boomkin gear would drop, right?
While I don't expect to ever get drops from VoA, I still leave the chance open for it to happen and upgrade around it first.
Don't bank on it dropping, but it never hurts to upgrade the pieces that Emalon/Koralon do drop last, just in case they do actually end up dropping. That being said, I have never seen Koralon drop a DK piece.
I've never formally tested it, but I've done ToC an uncountable amount of times as healer, tank and DPS and it is noticeable. Regardless, if you stack on tank in P3 it will still make it easier on the healer, because they can AoE heal everyone at once. (Ex: Wild Growth.)
If I stand at max casting range on P3 on my mage, I'll get 2-3 shotted if I'm one of the people being hit. If I stand closer, it does a much more manageable amount of damage.
It's entirely possible that the correlation you've witnessed is because the Black Knight favors targets at range with Marked for Death.
What you're suggesting is that you've seen a correlation between distance and damage dealt that no one else in all of WoW has come across. The only reason you'd be getting 2-3 shotted is because he favors marking people at range when possible over marking people directly on top of him.
I've taken Marks at melee range at the start of p3 so I'm not sure he favors ranged targets, either. The likely reason you see some people take less damage is because they know how to mitigate it, like cloaking/ice blocking off more than 5 stacks of the bite debuff, or shaman/mages with talents in damage reduction%, or warriors with improved defensive stance, etc.
The question was, in those situations was everyone at melee range? If it functions like Vezax then he'll default to a random target if everyone is within a certain range of him. I can tell you that in all the ToC runs I've ever done I've never once been marked while having someone at range from him, and my wife is constantly and almost immediately marked when she's the furthest target from him, similar to how Vezax determines target priority for mark of the faceless.
Anyone see the Shadowmourne stats?
Spoiler: show
