So i took a break for like 3months and play ocassionally to have a laugh etc, but whenever i try and join a pug to something i get the standard "must link achi" obviously i dont have the achi cause i only just got back, but i remember there being some achievement linking thing before i quit, is that still around/does it work for these people lol?
It is really frustrating having someone is probably a shit player telling you, you can't join just because you haven't played for a few months

Most people with the hardons for the achievements and stats aren't that good. I routinely get into groups that allow me in without such things and they're usually smoother than the ones I do link achievements for. Of course, I only join the groups that require an achievement on my warlock, my pally is a tank and my priest is a healer so I act accordingly and don't just join any group on them.

Do the XP Bonus Heirlooms give a significant boost in levelling speed?

Need to get my DK mule to 65 so I can get the 450 cap on Enchanting and JC and wondering if it's worthwhile considering it's at 61 now. Would go for PvP shoulders though since I don't want to spend any Emblems on them.

Does like no one else run the daily heroics much? I hate heroics but I still have a whole ton of emblems saved up doing nothing, I'm buying extra BoA trinkets just for maximum effectiveness whenever I get back into leveling an alt.

For 4 levels I wouldn't bother with BoA's, just to answer the question. The time it saves you is probably equal to the time it takes to get them for only that amount of time.

20% faster levelling means the 8ish hours it takes to earn four levels by yourself on a DK will now take about 6 and a half hours. Savings go down the more efficiently you level (i.e. get instance-boosted, use optimized questing routes, buy flying). Heirlooms real value is in getting through the 30-60 hump that most people hate, since all the gear is shit.

A lot of HCs seem to be unpopular on my server, even for simple dungeons.

Mainly wanting to save Emblems up to kit out my mage but since I recently started PuG Raids and the Guild I got into is gearing up for raids I'm too paranoid to spend them because the second I do something better will drop somewhere.

Heroic PUGs are definitely dropping in quality, I think people are getting lazy in anticipation of the emblem upgrades to all heroics + the declining value of epic gems/crusader orbs.

I don't even run the heroic daily anymore, even with undergeared alts. Just not worth it with them dropping triumph within weeks.

The only reason i dislike heroics is the idiots who do them, very rarely you get a decent group that just gets shit done with no pissing about, but very often you get (on eu servers) stupid polish/swedish/etc that barely speak english and decide to lark around while doing the instance.

i also dislike being constantly asked to tank ToC HC.

I hate it when you get pugs that take forever. Like, the tank pulling 1 pack at a time when you could be pulling several and doing ready checks before every boss.

I hate people that bitch about ready checks... I mean if people are slow ok that's one thing, but omfg 5 seconds! In a whole heroic that's like 20 seconds total AND I HAVE TO CLICK MY MOUSE 3 OR 4 TIMES WTF!?!?!

Oh I don't mind quick ready checks, it's just when there's a dps afk or something and the tank won't go until they get back despite the fact the other 3 members are sat waiting.

My favorite are the people that do ready checks before the first 4 bosses in a heroic, so I feel confident that I can say "afk for a second before this boss" and then, even if they do a ready check, they'll see that I'm still afk, and probably not try to 4man the boss. But nope. Come back to everyone wiped and King Ymiron whiffing at me.

Any of the hunters here use a track chaning mod for the improved tracking talent so you don't have to manually switch?

They changed it to where you just have to be tracking some type of mob and you'll get the benefit for all of them.

How long would it take to do loremaster? i'm considering doing it for the tabard but im not entirely sure if its worth while, i know im currently doing quests as rep farming but once i get thunderbluff (oh lawdy not tb) done im not entirely sure ill be in the mood if it is going to take an absurd ammount of time.
