What are rogues generally leveling from 70-80 as now?

I've always been a combat whore for leveling, and I figure I'd do a ton of instances if I decide to take it to 80. Also I have good swords from level 70, my daggers are "OK".

Any reason to go mut other than shits and giggles while leveling?

only reason while leveling I can think of would be movement speed.... but that's really not much of a benefit considering epic flyer at 70 and normal flying at 68 in northrend.

mmmk, 1 other question:

I have the 1.3 dagger from mgt (87dps), or a 1.5 97 dps sword. Stick with the sword?

Also have umm merciless dagger I think, 1.4 97 dps but obv that doesn't matter. And would be using I think Malche and ER if I went mut.

They say Icecrown is the pinnacle of the 3.x content, but they said that about Black Temple too.

Icecrown will be out a good while before people have pounded it out to the fullest extent though so who knows.

I'm guessing there will be a 3.4 before 4.0 hits. Probably in May-ish, around the time IC is at its prime.


I doubt they'll pull a TBC and bring something else in at 80, although they do have MC and BWL to play with like naxx if they decide they need to bring down the first 85 raid to fill in time at 80.


ICC will be "fully" released in like March or April, which gives about 6 months til cata. I don't remember the exact dates but iirc BT was fully out before this point, ZA was just coming out, and around the time ICC will be finished is when Sunwell was released "fully finished."


Except this time we'll have hms and happy happy joy joy fragment farming to tide us over.

I was asking, because I'm curious to see what instance they could add to fill the long gap between icecrown and cataclysm. There is enough lore to add something obviously, but I can't think of anything.

Scarlet crusade quest line isn't over (Malganis warped I think?) and implied at more, scolazar was left untouched by raid/instance...I don't know, they could use it to link it with Uldum crap in the next expansion. Or maybe an alliance/horde exclusive raid that deal with the aftermatch of icecrown and Frostmourne. No idea...but I cant wait to see what happen to the world after Arthas.

That we would fight Kil'Jaeden or his agents was strongly hinted at in T5 content, so I don't buy that Illidan was sold as the ultimate Big Bad of TBC by the time BT attunements were out and completable.

Are there any significant lore-connected troll bosses left to kill? At least Zul'jin/Hakkar were well-explained and have roots (in Zul'jin's case) going back to WC2. Seems the prophet of Akali storyline from Zul'drak is pretty much wrapped up. Not a lot left to justify another Troll raid, and from all indications we ain't getting one after Arthas goes down.

If Mal'ganis doesn't show up in the final wings of Icecrown I will be sorely disappointed because the Onslaught questline gave me every indication that he's setting up the Lich King's fall from power for his own profit. He has more than enough motivation to fuck him up, even if it means helping the alliance/horde win one while he does so.

Is Malganis working for his own sake, or he is somewhat related to "big guy" behind the rebellion of the undead (forgot their name...).

Either way, I can't imagine Blizzard bringing malganis so close to arthas, and not doing anything with him. I guess he is a good candicate to run away with Frostmourne once all of this is over.

or to get the 245 Badge head piece, http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47684.

After one of those I guess upgrade body to a http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47596 ?

You would probably see a larger dps increase from switching to 2p T9 than the minor stat increases the 245 head would give you.

I never fought oxyxia before. My paladin spec are holy and prot, but my holy is still shitty.


How should I approach the fight to not get kicked out (any good tutorial out there?).

From a prot view, if you aren't main tanking then just try to grab the little whelps off healers till P2, then when she flies be ready to grab the little whelps that come out of the sides. When those are aoe'd down grab the bigger adds that come from the entrance and tonk as they are burned done. If the mt grabs a big one as ony is coming to land grab it off them before she touchdowns and off tank it. Focus on whelp management and DON'T STAND NEAR THE FUCKING TAIIIIIIIIIIILLLLLLLLLLLLL.

Biggest problem is, whenever im asked to tank, they always make me main tank because I have more hp. When I say "its my first time", can I off tank, I automatically get kicked.


I really hate learning raid after everyone. They should add a "look for practice" in in the LFG menu... It's not that most encounter are hard, but when its your first time, it's hard to know what to look for, even after watching youtube video.


Meh, I'm just going to do like I always do. Get in a raid, fuck up, get hated, and do it right next time...

Main tanking is a lot easier in there really. Stand about 5 yards infront of the far wall with your back to the wall and the knockback shouldn't knock you back. Pew pew till p2 then just grab loose adds. About 40-30% when she come's in to land hrab her again and pull her back to the same place you tanking in p1.

To grab add, is there any particular method, or just consecration near the place where they come from?

Remember that I'm only a huntard but from what I've seen if you are on adds then consecrate near 1 of the 2 side entrances then move them into the center between the 2 entrances for Aoe goodness. For the big bastards just throw your shield at them and let the melee pewpew.
