Anybody have tips for 10 man yogg (1light, in case it matters)? We've got execution pretty much down, nobody's going insane, we're not being overrun with tentacles up top usually...what seems to get us is that the 4 dps in the brain room die to their own damage reflection (I think, like I said nobody's going insane so I don't think we're having problems with skulls). We thought about doing it with 3+healer but that seems to cut a good chunk of our progress per brain session.
The whole fight just comes across as a giant clusterfuck and we can't find any specific things to do better/differently to help. We've managed to down it all of once with all 4 keepers up in 10 man, and never on 25. It's kind of annoying considering that we execute all other content pretty well and have even made admirable attempts on Algalon (healers weren't prepared), but can't reliably kill the "normal" last boss of what's now two tiers old.
The only damage you take is from the skulls in the brain room I thought? Also, 3dps+1 healer is the way to go.
iirc we were sending 2 rogues and an ele shaman, and a feral would help if needed, the ele shaman would cover healing if necessary
our dps is crazy sick tho
Mal'ganis and all the Nathrezim operate in a kind of brotherhood so yeah, he would have known/worked with Varimathras up until Vari got splattered by Thrall/Sylvanas during the retaking of UC. However, no such lore exists in any of the games afaik, since Mal'ganis gets splattered right after Arthas takes Frostmourne and Varimathras takes over after the two original captains in charge of the invasion of Azeroth get taken down.
You take 60% of the damage you deal to the tentacles.
Edit: This was our group that night, forgot I actually got an upload

I guess I should have just looked over this, it seems we have more deaths from curse of doom and constrictors than anything else, so the outside is our bigger problem.
im looking to roll a hunter, i have enough shards for 2 BoA pieces right now, what should i get, and what spec should i roll?
uhhh... the shoulders and chest for 20% exp and then roll bm to level?
Just spend 2 hours farming heroics and get all the BoA's?
that. if you're lazy, i think 20% extra exp off of absolutely everything outweighs the boa bow immensely
yup 20% exp > bow
Get the 20% exp, that's what I wound up doing. In icecrown, some of the dungeon quests were cashing in at over 50k exp on turn in. Rested 2500-3k exp per mob kill, etc etc etc.
Leveling a warrior solo, which spec should i go? Arms or TG Fury? and any links to some decent warrior rotations etc would be helpful - go go 80 no 7.
Arms is vastly more effective as a leveling spec if you want to blow shit up, but prot in dps gear can solo just about anything they want and never have to stop and drink.
Been trying out TG Fury, so damn slow. gonna respec arms and try that out.
It's worth mentioning that they're all kinda slow until 30ish (or used to be, it's less so now that you have Victory Rush). Just not a lot of buttons to push.
Arms is fun cause you get wtfgiantcrits all over your screen thanks to the buffs to Overpower and such though. Once you get Sweeping Strikes you can decimate 3-4 mobs without trying, as well.
Plus Rend is actually useful now, so that helps kill stuff too.
Warrior is 62 already, i was using tank spec, but i wasnt enjoying it really, just felt like trying something new with warrior, besides ive got 3 other tank classes and was really looking at warrior to pvp with at 80.
I went arms, but I duo'd with a ret pally. Most shit was blown up before ret pally got to it. I had no problems.
Really having trouble tanking some things as my really undergeared prot paladin. I realize what my rotation should be, but I just find myself losing a mob or two in groups of trash, and I feel like I'm just generally doing a really shitty job of tanking overall. I'm at like 3.5k gearscore atm, and I'm using some shitty green sword just to keep def cap, so right from the start people are like LOL AT THIS TANK'S GEAR and the first time I fuck up, 3 people leave. I don't really know how to get better other than just spamming LFG heroics ;\ I've done every one of them 20x on my rogue and I feel more confident tanking bosses on rogue than this paladin ;\ Halp ; - ;
