Can I get a few pointer for ToC on tank (never done it before on any classes). I checked a few video on youtube and I think I'm ready, but I would rather 100% certain I'm not going to wipe my group.
I just want to know what I should watch for and when I should move
Find out rotation on gorefist, decide whos tanking what on worms and then who's picking up Icehowl.
Jax is a simple MT OT fight.
Champs is dependant on setup
Twins is pick one tank one.
Anub is either tank anub by ice then @ 10 till burrow move away, or pick up adds and pull onto ice.
TOC in a nutshell.
I had a really nice PUG in ToC...it's so damn rare I meet helpful people. Hell, they invited me even after I told them it was my first time, and we ended up beating it without wipe (not that it's hard, but half of the people were on their first time).
Anyway, more question
1- What was the addon that help you find dalaran book for the achievement/pet?
2- Is there any popular addon for loot distribution? I want to know who needed/greeded on the item. Trying to find out who needed on the item from the chatlog is a pain.
3- Is prot pally T9x4 bonus any good? So far, I love it (-30sec on divine protection saved my life a few time already), but I'm not sure when I should move to t10. Is it worth it for 1 pieces?
Yeah you'll want to go for T10 pally for ret... before its nerfed... >.>

not sure if I should be proud of that, but that just goes to show that it can get huge.
@ Kaylia Download DalaranUniversity and HigherLearning. Someone mentioned them a few pages back and it worked wonders for me.
I've been a prot tanking warrior ever since I first hit 80 (not that long ago, but it's all I've done, seriously.)
This is my gear: http://wow-heroes.com/index.php?zone...den&name=Tubes
The second ring isn't correct, should be ICC rep ring at friendly.
Anyway, I was wondering how in the hell I can boost my DPS as a prot warrior. I can't seem to get above 1,500 DPS on any raid, instance or anything.
Also, should I keep 565 defense for the additional usefulness on dodge/parry/block or should I only get it to 540 and stop there?
Actually I guess I have a ton of questions about tanking, but most can wait.
My main is a prot war. Feel free to PM me questions. You're far, far above the expertise cap; you only need 26. You're really quite low on hit rating as well as health.
You should absolutely not use Onyxia Blood Talisman, use double stamina trinkets or one stamina trinket and the triumph emblem trinket depending on the fight.
You should shoot for 9% hit without gemming or enchanting for it. You'll rarely actually have 9% hit, but it's a good thing to want. I have 7% hit currently and am, unfortunately, usually on the top of the meters in randoms with 2200-3300 DPS. On bosses, my DPS is around 1800-2200.
As for your stamina deficiency, you should have +30 stamina gems in almost every slot. Currently you're focusing too much on mitigation with your gems. If you get a piece of gear-- usually a helmet-- with a ~11-15 stamina socket bonus, put a stamina/something hybrid gem in it to get the socket bonus as well as some extra stats.
Ideally, you'll also want to enchant your shoulders with Greater Inscription of the Gladiator(10k Honor). Put either 275 health or 10 stats on your chest, Tuskarr's Vitality on your boots, 18 stamina on your shield, and Blood Draining on your weapon.
Edit: As for your defense question, you only need 540 defense. Any extra defense you get from gear upgrades is fine-- but you do not want to gem/enchant for defense if you're over the cap. On that note, you should enchant your cloak with 225 armor instead of defense.
On the subject of Protection Warriors, I've been told to level from 70 to 80 as Protection. I figure I'll give it a go since I've done Arms and Fury at other points along the way but have never actually been Protection. I have a really bone-headed question to ask though: what rotation of abilities should I use while leveling (solo here, though tanking advice is appreciated if I join a dungeon group) and, uh, should I be in Battle Stance or what?
DV + Ony trinket imo, moar dps gear
my heroic set looks something like this:
ony head
toc5 block neck
icc25 shoulders
dps cape
dps chest
toc bracers
icc10 dps axe
togc25 shield with str gem and titanium plate
sov libram
t9 hands
dps belt
t9 legs
togc10 boots
heroic loop
dps ring
dv
ony trinket
big fat chunk of defense to cover dps gear, and nice avoidance overall, which is good for me cuz of sanc, maybe not so much for war
And my 10 man set trades out just enough of that stuff to stay def capped. I do go full on tank set for marrowgar and both saurfangs just for safety's sake, so armor/stam there.
It really depends on what you're doing, as much as I harp on EH it's not *always* the be-all end-all.
That's why I said replace the second stam trinket with Glyph in certain circumstances, such as most heroics. He's not nearly geared enough to do the whole DPS gear thing. I was offering suggestions to make him a better.... tank, not a DPS-tank.
I pulled the numbers I was using as examples with full tank gear, which I still recommend if you're doing randoms with unreliable healers.
I recently finished this.
Defensive all the way. You should have talented into Warbringer, which will allow you to Charge in any stance and during combat.
There's not so much a rotation, however. You want to use Devistate a lot for Sword and Board procs. Whenever Sword and Board procs, you get a free, fully refreshed Shield Slam. Revenge also has a chance to proc Sword and Board. So if Revenge is up, use it over Devistate. Shield Slam always. Thunder Clap and Shockwave are best used against multiple mobs. Cleave and Heroic Strike for rage dumps.
Thus priority is:
Shied Slam > Revenge > Devistate
Deathwhisper 25 with only one Hunter. How the fuck.
Our primary problems were:
1) Melee not having any time on DW because Adherents would spawn back to back on the stairs. Not having more than one MD (only had one Rogue and Tricks is no real replacement) and limited silence options made controlling this RNG factor of the fight really hard once empowerment started hitting targets in the room.
2) Tanks always getting walloped by mutant Fanatics. Again, one MD and one Rogue = wrong side mutant fucking us.
Someone suggested AOEing down the Adherents but this became problematic when DnD would land on the AoE zone, wasting time repositioning a cluster of caster mobs.
Can you even do this without 2 very observant hunters? I should note we also only had one priest. Raid configuration really gave us a hard time and we called it after 2 hours![]()
The mutants aren't really a problem if your tanks are intelligent, they stop briefly when they transform; just teach your tanks to start running if they have a fanatic in their group when they hear the "I release you from the curse of flesh!" warning. You'll be far enough ahead that you can kite it around (preferably your tank has some way to keep at least a little aggro at range!) while the ranged burn it down.
Making fanatics priority one targets helps too.
Hmmm.... In a dilemma as a DK. I recently obtained http://www.wowhead.com/?item=49951 and I am currently using http://www.wowhead.com/?item=47590 . If I use the 264 body, then I can switch out http://www.wowhead.com/?item=40256 for http://www.wowhead.com/?item=50198 . I know the proc on NES is really bad, but according to my math, the razorplate is only barely better than the 264 body (I didn't calculate the hit since I don't need hit). I can't find any programs or spreadsheets that would help with this either. Or at least non-stupid programs.
Can you skill up to 400 on lv 80 monsters? I've been afk punching giant skeletton in icecrown for 1 hour, and didn't get any upgrade.
