So me and a bunch of friends just transferred to Horde... Argent tournement got reset and I can't stand kodo's so I've got to grind out a new mount.
What does Tauren look best on? Currently have Kodo's and PVP hawkstrider, frostwolf.
I was thinking undead horse, but I haven't rep grinded in so long... Am I better off doing Argent Tourn for rep, or low level city quests? Whats faster and less annoying? I know AT gets you gold as well but starting over is lame.
Hate to break it to you bro, taurens dont look good on very many mounts. However the ZG tiger or the sunwell chocobo do look awesome :D
I know they don't look good on many, but they look - ok - on some which is all I need.
The PVP hawkstrider is nice for lols, if I were to farm the white one I'd pass it to my sister probably.
ZG tiger isn't bad, me and her farm that and kara mount weekly.
in ye olde wow they looked pretty pimp with the plain sprint shit
best bet now is probably a kodo or a nogo, or maybe the proto drakes they don't look good on jack squat tbh
Tauren look pimp on mammoths and proto drakes. Everything else it looks like they're on a kiddy ride at the municipal park because of their ridiculous mounted stance.
Also starter zone grinding > Tournament grinding for national rep. It's so much faster it's ridiculous. Just fire up a levelling addon for the 1-20 zones and you'll hit exalted no prob.
Tauren fill out raptors nicely.
I'm OCD about mounts and have every one I could possibly get ahold of and none of them look offensive really, but some do fill out better than others.
You wanna see weird, look at an undead on a kodo lol
I was talking about ground mounts only, not flying mounts, i'm fine there.
Thanks for the input. Might do undercity then... I'm not sure I like the bouncy-ness of raptors or how my toes almost scrape the ground on a wolf.
As Arms spec, what stats should I be concerned about the most? Main reason I am asking is because I have NEVER played a warrior before >.>. Is it STR > AGI>Att Power> Crit hit? Any help is appreciated !
What's a good number/% to aim for in regards to haste as ele shammy? Right now I'm at 604 haste (18.42%) and I'm pretty sure I wanna just gem my Merlin's Robe with 3x spellpower gems.
Don't gem for haste. You should be getting most of your haste through equipment/enchants. 604 is a fine number. If you're doing end-game content like ICC25 your haste should be at around 800-1000 but I'm going to assume most of your gear isn't 251+ yet. : p
MMO-champion has some really great and easy to read write ups actually about warrior gemming and such. Like 4 stickies at the top of the warrior forum.
As far as gearing goes, like, chest boots gloves. Try using Rawr, it's a decent tool if you aren't too hardcore and will point you in the right direction... there are a lot of pieces out there, specifically leather and mail, that you wouldn't think to use but actually can be upgrades; especially when starting out. Also there are QUITE A BIT of 219 226 and 200's that sometimes can outperform 232's.
As a general rule, you want to be hit capped of course, this is a no brainer. 8% isn't too hard to get. After that, it can go in a lot of directions. Some warriors swear by being expertise capped, some, will drop their expertise down to near nothing because of overpower. You want to gem STR in almost every slot, and probably 10STR/10CRIT in your yellow/orange slots if the bonus is crit/str... One nightmare's tear gets you the 21agi gem meta bonus.
If you can get ahold of a Needle Encrusted Scorpion, Mjollner Runestone, or Grim Toll, then you want to gem for ARP until you reach your passive cap. ARP cap is 1400, subtract the amount on said trinket (674 we'll say), and you are left with some number around 721-740 depending on trinket. Gem your ARP until you reach as close to that number as you can (including 2pc bonus, and battle stance arp), then gem STR afterwards as normal.
In related news, lol, my Tauren looks ok on the Brown Bear, so that's going to work for now. Going to grind out some Talbuk's, both the rep one and the Halaa one. Gonna be fun to plant my alliance druid out in Halaa then kill him over and over and over till I have the tokens lol.
I am thinking that if I do a city rep, probably through redoing Argent Tourn now since I found other mounts I liked, I'll most likely go with Undercity. I've seen 1-2 Cows on Horses and it looks decent. Horde on my server win wintergrasp 98% of the time even when defending, so stone keepers shards are a joke to collect. Mammoth will be in line from that. I really don't see too many taurens compared to other races, but almost all of them are on a mammoth.
The fitting through doors thing is getting annoying though, it's a straight up disadvantage in warsong gultch. Sometimes you get lucky and can stay mounted pretty far into the tunnel, but on tauren I have to dismount every time just to enter. Oh well, there is some sacrifice with looking awesome.
Nah, so far only shield, cape and my ashen verdict ring. I was asking because before I got hit capped, I was gemming some spellpower/hit and some hit, which I've since replaced with spellpower/haste and spellpower, but I wasn't sure whether to use any sp/haste gems in the merlin's or just go for 3x spellpower gems, but I'll go with the latter then.
WTF, I was always completely sure you were already horde? o.O
Nah I was alliance for all of wrath and the tail end of BC, and Horde on a different character throughout BC.
Me and about 6friends+sister just faction changed to horde this week, couldn't stand how one-sided Burning Blade is becoming. We rarely won WG even when on offense, at 3am lol. There is more people, more guilds, more pugs going on... and more BG's are won. It's better in almost every aspect. On alliance side you would rarely see pugs going into early morning, but i've been seeing alot of 25toc/icc/togc10 all forming at 2am+. We don't have to deal with Nusitu, who, by the way, is a total piece of shit, and the economy seems identical. As a JC, prices are the same for everything.
If only all of you knew Nusitu, I don't think there is a single other player quite like him. His own website dedicated to pugging, with a toll free number for when you DC in a raid.
Ok, I decided to come back and switch over to the Horde... Where would I begin to gear up to Icecrown 25H level, coming from a character who is maybe half T-8 half 7.5?
Spam random Heroics until you have your T9/Triumph Emblem gear, grab what craftables you might benefit from having, work on ICC5 Heroics for any relevant drops, then try to get into some ToC/ToGC PUGs and ICC10 PUGs. That'll get you ready for ICC25 in rather short order.
so I finally got my items and gold back after i got hacked... problem is my main is still missing
Does it take a while for it to reappear or should i submit another ticket?
