I remember giving that link to Izzy a while back before you hit 80.
I remember giving that link to Izzy a while back before you hit 80.
Yeah, before I hit 80 I was BM spec, DPS wasn't even a topic of discussion as Izzy was doing most of the dmg and I was using NPC arrows lol...
edit: if it helps, we leveled with friends and quested all the way through (99.9% of it)!
So I'd really go and try levelling an ALT for the sole purpose of playing something amusing and relaxing in 5man or some raids.
Healers are out of the list since they require certain commitment.
Melee are ruled out since I already have pally and rogue when I wish to hit stuff on the head. From your experience what should I look to?
Mage looks terribly boring. Checked Arcane dps rotation and it looks quite dull.
Shaman is so nicely rich in lore and peculiar skills, but Elemental looks like a second class dps and from what I read, it plays quite repetitive, rotating 3 skills. Might be wrong tho.
Hunter, well, it sure can put up some great dps and I read all 3 specs can represent a nice chance of pace if you get bored with one...
Boomkin I know very little, actually.
Shadowpriest, I'm clueless.
Not quite sure what you want if you say you want "relaxing" but mage and ele shaman is too simple, lol.
I recommend warlock, it's fun to level and is fairly sturdy once you get going. It sucks a little more than most early when you only have shadow bolt, but gets better once you're 10 with voidwalker, so you don't have to wait long. Once you hit 30 and get siphon life your playstyle can change dramatically, just run through mobs hitting them with your DoTs and moving on as they beat on you but never kill you. It's somewhat more involved for raids, but not that difficult, and for general 5-mans you can just press one button when you don't care to try.
Shadow priest has mana problems last I checked while leveling.
Ele shaman sucks until you get to around 40 for the cast time reduction talents.
What gloves should I spent my Frost on? (Fury Warrior)

or
T10 Gloves. (No Set Bonus gained though)
I can't help but feel Cat Burglar's is better but I could use a second opinion.
I am looking for a class that can make me enjoy the raid run to some extent, without paying too much attention to cooldowns, buffs, meleeing the boss or everyone's health bar.Not quite sure what you want if you say you want "relaxing" but mage and ele shaman is too simple, lol.
This, trying to stay away from class that risks to become boring after 1 week because they're too much simple.
As an example, think Retridin > Combat Rogue > Mutilate Rogue going from most dull to most complex. Basically I'm looking for the "combat rogue" of casters
Hunter then.
I'd throw another vote out for warlock.
If you want to push your dps and focus one night... go affliction. If you're looking for some easier burst dmg... go destro.
As said... for 5 mans you can be lazy and just seed everything and still be above avg if you're just doing it for the EoF
You can lock-tank every once in a while... for a change of pace.
It's easy to level as well (although hunter might be slightly easier)
For general purposes, hunter is easier than warlock to level. But depending on where you're leveling warlock can be quicker, hunter is mostly a 1 mob at a time job, whereas warlock you just run around killing everything all at once.
Hunter gets boring pretty quickly IMO.
In terms of complexity the best choices would have to be Affliction Warlock, Balance Druid or Shadow Priest. My personal favourite is Balance although we take quite a hit on movement fights. The fastest out of those three is definitely Warlock. You can literally just run around dotting everything without fear of dying and kill multiple mobs at once. It's one of the few classes i'd actually level another of.
Rogue is not that complicated. You don't even have to keep Rupture up anymore to dominate meters on boss fights. At most you have to macro ToTT and Blind.
Balance isn't complex >.>
trees, starfall, dots, wrath till eclipse, starfire till eclipse, wrath till eclipse, starfire till eclipse, etc...stopping to throw a dot in anytime one falls off, or trees/starfall come off cd.
The only thing more binary is ret pally.
Agree with the warlock suggestions. Requires enough thought ahead of the curve to not feel boring but doesn't stress your thinking to the point of frustration.
It's still a different playstyle as you still have to go and work each mob to be pulled by your pet and then stop to it can be thunderstomped to be able to volley. Affliction warlock you throw up 2 DoT's, run to the next mob while the first one is dying, DoT that, run to 3rd mob as 1 and 2 are dying, run to 4th mob as 1-2-3 are dying, etc.
So, the guild I'm in got PP down to 500k before we wiped. Not sure what the issue is really, we def have the dps to zerg rush him, but it just seemed like the room got covered with goo way too fast. Are there any tips to help minimize the goo spread?
