theres no pic lol
edit: i suppose it is my cursor, thats pretty gay lol
So how should I spend these frost badges.
I only raid casually with my 10man guild, we are on putricide and BQ in 10man, I have a 5800gs (top 25-30 dps warriors on wowheroes for server) from pugging 25mans, and I kinda joined a new 25man guild that probably wont get anywhere.
Should I save my frost badges till I have 190 so I can buy my chest/legs at same time to complete my 4pc t10 for a net gain of like 45dps (it's a dps loss if I break t9 2pc before t10 4pc), or should I spend them on tanking gear since there is nothing from the first 6 or 8 bosses in ICC10/25 for my dps set.
I'm thinking buy some tank gear so at least I have something to do.
edit: also, is this post still valid http://www.tankingtips.com/2009/12/2...st-pick-order/
Yeah that tanking gear order is pretty much correct. The belt and cloak are BiS. I don't know if you care about the 4p t10 bonus or not, for Pallies it's pretty meh. I ended up getting tier shoulders and hands and using offset stuff for the rest, and I'm pretty happy with how it turned out.
Also I think it's better for farm for the primordials rather than waste frost badges on them.
Getting either t10 body or head this week.
Currently have Hood of Lethal Intent and Knightbane Carapace.
Which would you upgrade first?
(another week, still no t10 legs ;![]()
chestguard of the frigid noose is better than t10 chest, and it's much easier to get than discarded bag of entrails... dunno, i'd never get the chest piece really
just armory'd you; far too much hit rating, can drop the helm for t10 helm, get cat burglar's grips instead of t10.5 hands
guess I'll wait til after I pug icc10/25 this week to buy gear.
*edit* so i got the chestguard of frigid noose tonite, huzzah.
Easiest way to level mage is frost, but until what level should i be using frost? is there any point where arcane or even fire become more usefull when leveling?
I went frost till 80. Frost has a lot more survivability compared to arcane or fire which is why it makes for a good leveling spec. Also I liked it very much to grab a bunch of mobs together and gather the around to Frost Nova -> Blizzard their asses. It's not that risky and it owns for kill x mobs quests or quests where you have a low% drop on the quest item(s) and lots of the same type near eachother (buzzard wing quest in Hellfire Peninsula springs to mind).
If you're a fan of AOEing everything you kill during quests, frost is pretty much always the best bet. If you prefer to kill things one at a time arcane is pretty much just as capable as frost. You'll kill faster but be at slightly more risk(though in some cases less). Arcane doesn't begin until 64 when you get Arcane Blast.
thanks for the info, i know how to kite without snares anyway so i suppose leveling as arcane couldnt be too much bother, just trying to get all 10 classes to 80 atm, mage, lock & rogue to go >.<
Alright, have a few questions about leveling paladin. I RAF-ed this char to 50 and haven't touched it since. I have 2 pieces of BoA healing pieces for it. I decided to do a few randoms as holy and I like it and probably will make it my main spec when I hit 80.
The thing I'm wondering about is what are good(i.e. fastest) leveling techniques out there today? Should I go ret and brostorm/SoC everything(once I get this talent). Basically only quest as ret. Should I go prot and spam random dungeons? I think that I would get queue so fast I wouldn't even be able to quest. Or should I go prot and quest/not do randoms?
Basically I want the fastest spec to level with and the fastest way to do it.
Depends on how much you enjoy/know quests. If you're like me and know where quests are and can order them up in your head to get rapid exp your best bet is probably to go ret and dps dungeons while you rush through quests. Prot gets almost instant-queues and it's certainly annoying when I'm off doing a questline worth great exp (Wrathgate, Ursoc, etc.) so I've just been queueing as a dps occasionally if I want to run an instance while getting quests done.
I picked up Zygor's guide off demonoid and I'm going to see how it works. I haven't leveled since BC/WoTLKso I don't really know what quests to grab especially in Azeroth.
I find questing is still the fastest way, dungeon xp is still too slow in my opinion. The xp you make in the dungeon is lower than what you would have gotten if you were questing. Doing dungeons and completing dungeon quests along the way is awesome xp, though.
Ret is a breeze once you get to Outland and get divine storm. Group up everything, SoCleave and DS them, collect xp and loot. You heal so much HP from judging light and the return on DS that you'll never die. You should be able to go from 60-80 in about 7-10 days just playing casually.
Questing + dungeon quests is definitely the fastest way, if you have the gold to spare easily, dual talent and do the dungeon quests as prot/holy just for quicker queue times :D
Right now I'm questing on ret too, It's pretty fast and I prefer doing dungeons on ret because the queues aren't too quick so I can quest a bit more and then do a dungeon if I'm tired of questing.
