Fire or arcane for a PVE mage raiding spec? I know both are about on par with each other I'm just asking as far as play styles go, which do you mages enjoy more?
Fire.
Ok seriously, its not really that easy, ideally you would dual spec both but who does that. Like if you spec Fire you will probably want to stab yourself in the face on Dreamwalker, but you will have so much fun on LDW HM.
Also as fire you get to ignore your mana bar, how awesome is that?
my offspec would probably be a pvp type spec being as i'm leveling it mostly for that just wanted to get some insight on the pve mage-way of things.
thanks i'll try fire out
PVE def. arcane imo, it's crazy that other DPS is blowing everything they got for 12k-13k DPS, while arcane mage with 4p 264 can do 16k-19k easily.
My paladin just hit 80 and I'm planning on going Holy.
Holy Pally 101? What seal do I use? Do I judge? Divine Plea usefulness, since it cuts my healing in half? Etc etc. Help!

One of your talent give you some crit+ or something for 60seconds after your judgement, you should keep this buff up all the time. Judgement of light/wisdom is also sweet on their own if no one else is giving it (JoL is really good healing if there is no prot/ret in the raid using it already, and wisdom give back decent mana if you can afford being in melee range).
DP is very useful when you're running low on mana, and there is no big heal in the close future. You can make a macro to click it off as well.
Anyway, just go read elitistjerk guide

I'm not holy paladin anymore, but it helped me quite a bit back then.
judge light and in raids ask your prot/rets to judge wisdom unless its a healing intesive fight and you would oom on (not very many anymore especially with the 15% buff.) always divine plea, you use whichever seal you glyph for. so if you glyph seal of wisdom you use that seal if you do seal of light you do that one
start off using flash of light probably, until you get better gear and a sufficient mana pool before bombing holy lights also. this is something a lot of people overlook
Ty for starting holy pally tips! :D
I'm about to ding 79 on my hunter and im 40% done with dragonblight, should I jump to a better zone since everything is green and some mobs grey here?
Thinking going straight to sholazar for fastest 79-80 run + doing random instances.
note: no rested exp, but +25% bonus
I'd definitely do Scholozar, could probably get a level off the nesingwary camp quests alone.
My character was recently xferred to a different server. 2 days later (after it was xferred and I could log on and everything) I get an email from blizz saying the xfer failed and now I can't login to my character. The billing dpt is apparently always busy, so I can't even talk to anyone. Has anyone ran into this before? At Wow.com it says under "successful character xfers" that both my Dk and Shaman are done. So idk what's up.
Did you get an email stating the xfer was complete before you tried to login? If you logged in early, it fucks it up.
I never got an email for my DK. I was able to login and raid in my shaman on the server I xferred to and stuff. Idk what's going on :/
Anybody on an eastern time server know if you can do the children's week achievements with the oracle/wolvar orphans? Or do I gotta go back to Stormwind/Shat City for those orphans instead?
que?
The three orphans aren't linked in any way, you can do stormwind, shattrath, and dalaran, one from each.
I mean, can you get credit for Home Alone/Bad Example/Hard Knocks with the wolvar/oracle orphans out. They were introduced after the achievements so I'm just wondering..
I disagree. Fairly strongly, actually.
With the way mana is set up now you need to understand how that shit works, and be functioning around it as soon as possible.
Working with primarily holy light and int build from the start makes you better at management later.
It's important to understand how and when to abuse the shit out of plea, especially. Also smart use of beacon and its coordination with splash is hueg.
