You can also take advantage since there's a lack of an AH history in the default client. I've seen people buy up a whole stock of items and list the group much higher, seems people always buy them anyway

How does that possibly mean it's bad for money making? and it's not less profitable than heroics in any way
Somebody showed me the Stoneguard band recipe to disenchant back when it was profitable, which led me to discover the reinforced cobalt chestpiece. Before it got nerfed, the mats were a mere 4 cobalt ore. I used to make a couple thousand a day just by buying all the cobalt off the AH, turning it into chestpieces, and disenchanting them. But that was like two years ago, guess it's not helpful to you now![]()
you can make 300-400g spamming heroics an hour if you're a class that can get an instant queue, when i mined/have heard of people mining they didn't make that much. but oh well i'm not going to argue about how to make money on one of the easiest games to hit the gold cap in
Healing random heroics for gold is awesome, I alt tab and leave my party frames showing on the left side of my screen so I can click back and heal when needed, I'm basically AFK 90% of the time watching videos and shit
i really need a lesson from someone who is good at playing the ah. i will give you a lot of gold if you do! `-`b
covers the basics. tl;dr: Build up a strong Auctioneer history, be able to disenchant, pay attention to when enchants/gems get in high demand.
so, to clarify, scan the market 1 to xx amount of times for a week. after that, find armor and items to de for a profit, resell?
Pretty much, makes me 300g a day minimum for 30 minutes work (but requires high seed money so you can float losses in the short term)
i'm sure i have plenty of gold where losses of me getting the hang of this won't even be noticeable.
You will have to find a time of the day to do most of your buying/reselling. I've personally found a window between 6-7am server before leaving for work where I can find a shitton of underpriced herbs/enchanting mats/crystallized junk. It's also handy for when BoEs fall your way and you can tell immediately if it's better to DE or sell it directly at market.
Disenchanting makes playing the AH much, much more profitable. Especially in the craft -> DE market for materials.
So recently I've gotten the urge to play again. The only problem is, I gave away my account to a friend a few months ago. She is really enjoying herself with the game, so I don't plan to take it back from her. I was wondering if anyone knows a cheaper way to get keys or a fresh account without buying the base game + expansions? I want to play again, but I'm not sure if 70 bucks is worth it lol
i have a question for mages. i just got my 4 piece for my alt and i'm wondering, is it better to use arcane power+mirror+icy veins, arcane power, then all 3 again? or is it better to simply use them when they're up
MI+AP+IV to start obv, depends on the fight time for the rest, ie if it's a longer fight like Sindragosa (for us anyway... ;< ) blow stuff when it's up, or have it ready for a preset hero timer. if you know it won't be much longer than a 3min fight, wait to stack again since AP won't be up a 3rd time.
depends how much haste you have though, for me, I don't like to use IV during hero because it lowers my cast time on AB below 1sec so I use stuff whenever it's up regardless.
or respec fireball and don't worry about cooldowns ever again
I've debated this myself... My view was that if you're fully trinketbombing, with Mirror Image 4 piece, Trinket, AP, that I would take the loss of the extra 5-10% Haste from IV in order to maximize the damage buffs of the additional cast reduction of the trinkets. If you can get an extra 2-3 casts during AP/trinket, I think it would outweigh the additional casts you'll get separated.
Of course, that's entirely dependent on how much over the haste cap you become when popping IV.
In regards to playing the AH and Mining:
For the AH, I've actually found that just messing with Greater/lesser essences has made me more money than I want to admit! When you see greater nether essences selling for 10g, and then lessers selling for 8g each... That's a pretty quick/easy 14g profit. The 0 posting fee is also clutch.
As for Mining, don't forget about smelting as a way to make gold. I actually found an RMT that was selling Saronite Ore for 10g a stack. One stack of bars (made from 2 stacks of ores), sells to the NPC for 25g... Easy easy money at the expense of going AFK for 30 minutes... (Seriously, the guy sold me about 1500 ores)
Which T9 for my DK should I upgrade? I'm a DPS DK. I only have 1 T10 right now. I figure upgrading the slot of T10 I'm get last.
What spec, what's your hit/exp etc. Would be easier if you had an armory.
Hit is fine and Exp is 19.
