I will reword my questions
Here is my UI when I'm tanking
Spoiler: show
1: Grid will tell me who has aggro (red dot appears next to their name), and the nameplate of the monster I'm tanking is red (if I'm not on top of the threat table, it's green)
2: I use omen as threat meter whenever it's important, but it's normally off
3: DBM timer are located on the right side of my screen, the test warning pop up in red text in the middle of the screen
4: My focus is always on the off tank, I use this window to track his debuff.
It's not pretty, but it did the job for quite a while. However, now that I'm doing hard mode, I realize that I need to shave additional millisecond of my reaction time, and the main issue is how far apart information is on my screens.
Anyway, my question for now are:
#1 How do you keep track of the offtank's debuff? In 10m? In 25m (2 off tank)
#2 Is everyone using DBM default setup for raid warnings and timers? Despite the fact it's big red text in the middle of your screen, I often have trouble to see the warning when I'm busy doing something else
Or if anyone has suggestion for improvement, I'm listening. Also, fuck wide screen, I wish I had that much room on the side.
How do you make your green hp bar look so bright? Did you change anything, or it's an addon
I just look at target of target for debuffs. If it's a hard to see debuff (like PP's) I rely on DBM. On some others I mouseover the debuff whenever I can to watch it.
Anyone on Mannoroth wanna get a good deal? hit me up in PM![]()
Hmm, using target's target is a good idea. It would help my reaction time for sure when taunt miss, since the target remain the same.
Ah that is not HP bar that is gridmanabars shows up full red because I have no rage atm.
What level can DKs start instance tanking without being a mana sponge?
My first attempt at instance tanking on my DK (can't post links yet - Zarrus on Shu'halo) was at 61 and random Q put me in Blood Furnace. I was taking a ton of damage and the healer was blowing through mana. I got a link in one of the rooms (2 orc + 4 imp total) and ended up dying because I was taking so much damage. I died not very far from the start of the instance.
I have a 70 pally tank so I'm not exactly new to tanking and gearing for tanking but even with a lack of shield on DK I didn't expect to take this much damage. Did I screw up on talents, try to tank in outlands too soon, or is this just the way it is with DKs?
Dungeons through BC were built with CC in mind, you're gonna get raped if you try to tank whole packs yourself.
You'll have a much easier time once you hit northrend.
no, you won't. DK tanks are squishy until 80 for whatever reason
I did fine 70-80![]()
For some reason I seem to be reading a lot of complaints about WoW's mobile authenticator, how if your phone crashes and you need to download it again you're basically screwed for a while.
i.e. on Apple's download page, 1 comment:
Can anyone give me the real deal/info about it? I've got it loaded up ready to go on my iPhone, plus, it's free. Anything I should be cautious about before setting my account to an authenticator? It is too good to be true. The application works great, until you work a double shift and your battery dies. Then when you restore the IPod the application gets a whole new serial # and you are locked out of your own account. Is it just me or should some one have already thought of this?

Someone lent his ipod to a drug addict and said person exchanged the ipod for 4 grams of coke or something like that.
So, dont lend your ipod![]()
Ok i fucking give up and wiki fails and I fail.
Need a macro to make judgements of the pure proc (read: cast it on whatever the tank is attacking and target the tank again)
Its all fine and dandy until I use /targetlasttarget or /targetlastfriend
is not workingHalp
Show the whole macro?
/assist
/cast JoL
tried:
/stopattack
/targetlasttarget and every other combination, all to no avail.
which is pretty sad considering my tranq macro for LK is essentially the same crap and it works -_-
Just use targettarget?
/cast [@targettarget, harm, exists] JoL
Target tank, press button, profit.
thanks much.
