Pretty sure the games generate a noise already (sound like a single hit on large cymbal or something), but it's easy to miss, especially when alt tabbed. Unless it was DBM doing the sound... never thought about it.
Anyway, this add-on seem to do what you were asking, but I didn't try it, just checked the description,

A random question.
What's the point where a DK can safely change to Frost without crippling their dps? I tried changing my Unholy spec to Frost when I got 2 1h maces from HoR HC but went from doing around 4-5k in Unholy to 1.5k in Frost in the same heroics. I expected missing a lot of white hits due to the high hit% required for DW but from my understanding yellow hits still only need 8% to be capped. Yet I was missing a lot of yellow hits (IT/PS/OB/etc) aswell even though in Frost I would have ~10-11% hit. The only thing I could think of that would have this effect is because my expertise went from 14 in Unholy to 9/9 in Frost. Since I'm Orc I would get 5 expertise from using axes and my Frost set uses 2 1h maces unfortunately (no luck in FoS HC). Yet 9 expertise would only account for 2-3% dodges when standing behind the target which I usually do. It felt like a whole lot more then 2-3% though.
You want 26exp as frost. Was your mace skilled capped? Due to nerves of cold steel, you technically only need 5% hit to cap your yellow abilities. Icy touch counts as spell hit cap, so you might miss that a bit. Frost takes abit to get used to over unholy, since unholy has a set rotation, where as frost is priority.
Now that you mention it, I haven't even thought of checking if my maces were capped or not. I'm gonna laugh so hard if thats what it ended up being in the end. It could be since I have skillups filtered from my chat windows and only show them on a notification pane in Parrot.
That's most definitely your problem then lol.
Anyone else having troubles doing the Torch Juggler achi? I don't lag, put the torch on key 1 and spam left click on my feet.. but always fall short.
Is there anything difference over last year event? New quests or w/e?
newb question...
what level is appropriate to start leveling in the outlands? I'm lv52 (about halfway to 53) right now, and still looks like I can get some really good exp from UnGoro Crater. After I'm done there (should be lv 54ish maybe) where should I head to?
You can walk through the dark portal at 58, though can be teleported to shattrath anytime. Some classes can grind mobs earlier than 58 to decent effect but you won't see a lot of the quests until then.
plaguelands moves pretty good in those last few levels.
When you hit 53 hit Felwood, lot of good quests there all grouped together, a couple are a pain where you have to fight through a bunch of guys but nothing too bad. Should get you to 54 and almost 55. Hit Un'goro for 55 and 56, Winterspring for 57, plaguelands for 58 (you should be really close to 58 by the time you're done with winterspring, so you only need to get like 5 or 6 bars in plaguelands) then head out to Outland.
I must be ahead of schedule. I'm grinding quests in UnGoro as 52 Hunter (tenacity pet) without a problem. Hopefully Felwood and Plaguelands will get me more exp. I have done next to nothing in the Blasted Lands also, I guess I could grind some quests there also.
I'm basically trying to figure all this shit out on my own (questhelper makes it much easier now) since I'm running full solo, no guild or anything.
Yeah, you're a bit ahead. Hunter is OP like that, most classes can't kill fast enough or survive long enough to be there that early. But anyway, just hit those areas until 58 and then head to Outland. I never liked blasted lands, it's just a bunch of collection quests with horrid drop rates. I'd always get ganked from higher levels that were on their way to the portal too.
you have to furiously fucking mash 1 and click your feet, without regard for alternating properly, to make it to 40 catches in 15 seconds. If you do it properly you should hit 40 with 0 seconds on the clock. It's that exactly timed.
You should also find a quiet spot in dalaran where nobody tends to linger, like the picnic benches behind the alliance inn or the room you get teleported to when you finish Higher Learning.
