My summoned water elemental just got me killed.

I had my ele out but when I got on my flight mount he didn't go away. He ended up aggroing 5+ mobs but I didn't notice. When I landed to get a quest objective they all swarmed me. Is this normal?

Yeah, if you don't fly up high enough to despawn it, it will do that to you.

Even then, you can make a macro that uses the ability then when you click it again it removes the sacrifice buff, but it'll still give the 20% damage reduction raid-wide

It's party-wide now I think. Pretty useful in 10m since it's half of the alliance, not that great in 25m, but can still save other tanks in certain situation.

I'm confused as to what you are saying here. Torment the Weak (+12% damage) is triggered by Judgements of the Just and that's the only way you can trigger it as a Paladin.

when using standard MM priority, if aimed shot is up ~0.5 seconds after the GCD after using chim shot should i wait for the GCD to finish or do another steady shot?

Aimed > Steady iirc in priority rating and because your steady shot is something like 1.whatever personally i'd wait that 0.5 then aimed shot.

You can use the shot priority settings on http://femaledwarf.com/ to specify how long to wait to be able to use another shot over steady shot, I get optimal results with 0.7 seconds, probably varies with gear somewhat though.

yeah i had looked and it said 0.8 which i followed, but on heroic anub i was still doing what seemed to be sub par dps. when i checked what i should be doing, it was on par, but still. i'm guessing lack of trauma and sunder armor was a huge thing

I didn't realize MM had bleeds already, didn't think that was until cata.

In which case, yeah, no trauma/mangle would be kind of a big deal too ;/

I'm currently saving up these flower things from the festival, the 3 pieces of gear doesn't interest me much but I'm interested in the fire pet thing. I notice it's level 1, would it level up and help assist me in fights?

If you're not sundering, you're straight up bad, I don't care how much DPS you can put out

Stig: No, it's a vanity pet. It'll follow you around and look cute (or badass, pet-depending).

Non-combat pets are for looks only, and the fire pet is a non-combat pet.

If you're not after the achievements then stock up on the summer food. If they haven't fixed it, it stacks with elixirs and food.

I'll try for both but I like the idea of having a fire ball thing following me around regardless of usage.

Kinda late to the discussion, but if you're purely wanting a prot build for dungeons and non-serious raids, I love Seal of Command for aoe threat (the damage isnt bad either). With command, hammer, and consecration, it makes aoe tanking on pally easy street. Just remember to switch to the other seal on boss fights.

I wish more people understood this about sunder. Even at 1400 arp, read the fucking tooltip lol.
