Personally upgraded from vanilla (original release) disk to bc and wotlk myself bought the disc and never needed to install or update in any way. Worked like that on 2 pc and a laptop just upgraded account with the new key and logged in to play.

1 thur 4 Yes.
3.- The full web installer asks for the install directory and downloads packs and installs them on the fly, you can pause the download and resume at any time. I've never used that installer to upgrade from vanilla to bc or wotlk however.
Also, full installer run from 0 now downloads up to patch 3.2, whereas, last I checked the wotlk discs downgrade wow to 3.1 and then you have to install updates again.
What I would recommend is to download the full installer + patches somewhere fast and then upgrade your account to BC/WOTLK.
Does anyone know how to setup Landsoul spreadsheet. The macro features don't seem to work for me...
Thanks Tajin!
I believe my local UK equivalent of Wal-Mart has the 2 games, I think I'll just buy it from there on my lunch break, will look in a moment.
Another question which popped into existence, I wanted to create a DK with my current name, but obviously I cannot since my 55 paladin is using it. I was wondering if it's possible to get a RL friend to hold my gold (seeing that's the only transferable thing, I'll vendor all my gear first for that little extra), then delete the paladin, then create the DK. Is that possible? I was wondering how the game checks for the requirement to create a DK -- is it via your account? The moment I hit 55 somewhere it flags my account "DK Creation = True", or is it during DK creation it'll only check if "existing char = level 55 = true" ?
Just curious. I may just pay that tiny amount of money to get my paladin name changed otherwise to something else and then just keep it at 55/level it to 80 as a seperate professions char.
EDIT: And a DK's "pets", none of the pets are permanent right? They all disappear for sometime until the ability cool down is up again, as far as I can see from wiki. Just need confirmation, I like the idea of their pets, especially the Army of Undead one lol.
My friend showed me a really nifty program to .dat change armor/weapons/shields. I've decided to make my shield Bulwark of Azzinoth (Like this isn't a given?) but I just can't figure out what sword to turn my ugly ass Bonebreaker Scepter into, I leave this to you BG don't let me down.
If casters are blowing up in the raid, then it's not the fight that's the problem. Stick the rogue on the ice tombs in p3 and have him dps them down (assuming he's fairly geared) so that when one breaks, the other had just landed. When Sindra pulls you in for blistering cold, have the hunter switch to aspect of the pack so everyone can run out faster to prevent failures. At 30% the fight slows down and becomes a survival race and not a dps race. Make sure everyone's priority is staying alive.
As for DK pets, you can spec into a permaghoul.
Holy priest with lightwell
Is that the shit you click for heals?
yes
I have perma ghoul, im UH. I can still fit perma ghoul + AMZ into a spec, ill lose some crit though from dark conviction unless I tweak my spec to go frost/unholy to compensate. our shadowpriest was eating tons of stacks of the debuff then dispersing to void all the damage...but he's a fucking idiot so he kept killing off 1 or 2 of our healers with that so we told him to cut that shit.
I read on tankspot that a good strat is to go full physical dps or full magic dps and not have a mix, not sure how good of a strat that is. Also they advise to use 4 healers which i'm not sure on.
3 heals is plently, get your priest to get rid of lightwell though. It's really that shite.
Asda.
Has anyone had any issues with WoW crashing and locking up their computer since the patch today? Doubtful since nobody has posted anything here but I've crashed twice tonight and wondered if it was a problem.
I was in different places both times (Nexus and Stormwind) and the only programs I had open on my computer were WoW, Curse client, and Firefox.
For those of you who have done Ruby Sanctum 10 man, how would you rank it in difficulty level compared to icc bosses? I won't get to do it till thursday at the earliest, so would like to know what to expect.
Random question time: I had a discussion with a resto druid in my raid guild when I saw he only had 459 haste rating. I've always read that you need 735 haste rating if you are fully raid buffed to get the GCD cap of 1s. I asked him about this and he mentioned that with the 10% spellhaste talent you only need 15.x% haste to cap GCD (15% is roughly 480 haste rating).
