Random question time: I had a discussion with a resto druid in my raid guild when I saw he only had 459 haste rating. I've always read that you need 735 haste rating if you are fully raid buffed to get the GCD cap of 1s. I asked him about this and he mentioned that with the 10% spellhaste talent you only need 15.x% haste to cap GCD (15% is roughly 480 haste rating).

99% sure talents go into play for this. But I'm not sure on all the specifics. You need what, 50% total haste to reach gcd cap? Raid buffs only provide 8% spell haste, no? (wrath of air + 3% aura) So you need 42% from gear/talents, so a resto druid needs 32% haste? I guess with the lifebloom gcd on it they might have a soft cap for lower, but last I checked lifebloom wasn't a spell druids spammed.

I know disc priests only need 11% haste to gcd cap because of 8% buffs + 6% talents + 25% Borrowed time (after every PW:S) but I don't think druid is anywhere near that low of a requirement.

For those of you who have done Ruby Sanctum 10 man, how would you rank it in difficulty level compared to icc bosses? I won't get to do it till thursday at the earliest, so would like to know what to expect.

Random report from a friend was saying something about the first miniboss doing 20kdmg/sec to the tanks, whatever that's worth. Sounds like you need to have a decent amount of 251+ gear to attempt it, it's not a lootfarm like OS.

But then this is the same friend who routinely gets into raids with ret pallies who can only manage 3k with the ICC buff, so I can't be sure about the actual quality of the tanks he had.

Can't wait to see the same people who fail on defile and crap fail on Mark and "Resident Evil Death Beam of Decapitation". Considering I only recently did Mimiron for the first time (went for Firefighter) I really hope that what I read about the fire spreading is not similarly annoying like Mimiron's Hard mode fire, goddamn that was a bitch and a half.

Only thing that gave my pug group trouble was the laser of doom on Halion himself, rest was pretty easy, I don't even remember General Zarithian fight, something about adds and fears then oh he was dead

Brought my BC and LK yesterday, I'm really pleased with it. And created a DK for experiment. I was surprised at the 3rd quest where it requires me to free a prisoner and even on a 1 on 1 fight I lost so much HP, but I think it's because I haven't fully understood yet the the rune system and what my abilities do.

Anyway, I saw some DK solo videos on Youtube, and some have this font where the digits that pop up when you damage something "bolded", almost FFXIII like. So for stuff like "DODGE" "PARRY" and stuff, the font was nice and bolded like in FFXIII.

What's the name of this font/addon/hack?

Also, while doing random searches, wowcurse.com seems to be the hub for add ons? Or is there another hub/database of addons? Ideally I'd like an amazon type system where I can search for addons and see screenshots of it, etc

And Alliance. I didn't get much time last night but will confirm my final race/looks tonight (will delete my experimental DK).

I can't stand the horde (race choices) looks, from what I notice there's a heavy preference for horde/some sort of rivalry. I prefer human type things and I find the dranei (female) quite cute (mithra like nearly).

Not sure if I've got time to do all the hardcore stuff for now, but even on Paladin random dungeons and quests and looking around (as I've not played before) was enough to keep me occupied casually. At the moment I'm just really playing it because 2-3 of my RL friends does, and 3-4 of my work friends. I totally have not looked into the story side of thing.

I'll check out the addon when I get home. It looks like the one but the font is different but I assume this is customisable.

And must DKs always have glowy eyes ... not really a bad thing but I had trouble with my face selection while making a DK lol

Theres another addon called sharedmedia that allows addons that support sharedmedia to have a multitude of different fonts and shit.

Just to add to this: Some other good sources are www.wowinterface.com, www.wowuigallery.com, www.vranx.com, and wowui.incgamers.com.

Wowinterface is an addon hosting website much like curse is, and it also hosts addon compilations.

Wowuigallery is a newer website, and seems to be gaining popularity with addon compilation authors. Wowuigallery only hosts addon compilations.

Vranx is an addon recommendation website that has been around for a few years. Vranx does not host addons, but it does provide a short description, screenshot(s), and links to where that particular addon is hosted.

Wowui.incgamers is another hosting website for addons. After some security issues in 2008'ish they have not been as popular as curse or wowinterface. The issues were resolved, and I haven't heard anything bad from them since that time.

Some (compilation) authors do not upload to multiple websites, and the ones who are uploading to multiple websites do not always update consistently across those websites.

Seriously? You can't tell from the talents what does and doesn't help dps?

I can understand other classes where some talents are more effective than others, but it is literally impossible to do a feral spec wrong if you know how to read.
