So I just respecced Arcane for the first time since I got into ICC because the guild was missing a 3% damage buff and even though I have Phylactery it was almost the same theoretical DPS to go Arcane because of that buff. I was wondering how Arcane Mages are dealing with the high amount of haste they are being given in ICC and their cooldown macros. I noticed I was hitting the GCD cap fairly easy and its quite annoying.
According to http://milamber.ch/spellhastecap.html With Bloodlust + T10 2 piece + Icy Veins + Berserking I am already over the cap, and thats with my abysmal 700 Haste. I'm thinking Heroism+Icy Veins+Arcane Power+Talisman of Resurgence then when IV wears off pop Berserking and Hyperspeeds with a wild magic potion but since I'm not very experienced at arcane I'm asking for some advice on what other people do.

im not to familar with horde so dont much about berserking but with me im at like 960 base haste, when we pop Heroism i dont use icy veins at all only mirror image + wild magic + arcane power, when hero fades i pop icy veins then throw up an invis cause im about to get bitch slapped by whatever we are fighting lol.




Also to the guy attacking me, you act as if im just going to spec the way it tells me to spec and not read my shit, i know which general direction i wanna go with my spec all im asking for is a nudge in the right direction is that so much to ask for.


also just checked your armory page, at least i dont have a serious raider trying to put me down but looks like you got a nice tank there.

It is when, as I said, it is impossible to do it wrong. If you are capable of reading text on the screen, you are capable of doing a feral dps spec. It only gets complicated if you're trying to hybridize it for some other purpose (which generally doesn't work out very well unless it's a PVP only spec anyway).

1) Read talent.
2) Does this talent increase damage in cat form y/n?

Repeat ad-in-fucking-finitum until you have spent all the points you can. You'll have a few left over that go in less than obvious spots, but that are also pretty easy to figure out with a little intuition and research into what the majority of people who play the class put them into.

Like I said, if this were another class where there are a lot of talents that increase some kind of damage but some are optimally better than others, I could understand. Even if your question was just about GLYPHS, I could understand. But the talents, for a feral dps spec, simply cannot be confused.

Ha, just saw your little edit. You got me there, I don't have heroic LK 25 down so I clearly know nothing about my class. Nevermind that my activity page doesn't show any raid activity in almost 4 months (hooray real life!), and nevermind that the raid activity I do have puts me right up there getting victories as the damn wings came out. Without buffs.

EDIT: Wow these DK quests are quite interesting for me. Although I only have a vague idea of what is going on, me going into town with about 30 NPC ghouls slaughtering everything does make me feel kinda bad. I'll be about 58 by the time I "escape" (the only thing I know that will happen). I was surprised to see my char speak (auto) while equipping one of those "make 'em talk" swords for a quest. Also I played with this talent thing on the official site, it seems like I can spec a perma ghoul right from the start! /happy

How are you planning on leveling. The talents you want depending on PVP, instancing, or questing will be a bit different.

Since every time I ask a rogue, they give me the exact opposite of the information I need. So I'm going to ask you guys because I trust you. Alright, seriously though, as combat do I always gem arp, or do I only gem arp if I'm going for the hard cap. I have 30% arp without any arp gems, I am thinking it would be a waste to gem arp right now, so I have been gemming AP until my arp gets higher via gear. Is this the right thing to do? Every time I ask this I get the answer "combat gems for the hard cap" and I FUCKING KNOW THIS YOU DUMB PIECES OF SHIT FCUK

With gems you would probably get to about 50%% armor penetration, which in my opinion is probably not worth it, however if you run Forge of Souls for Needle Encrusted Scorpion you could aim for "soft cap" then gem whatever it is a spreadsheet over at elitist jerks tell you to gem (probably agility). I wouldnt gem arp untill you are about 50-60% passive from gear

Luckily the begining of ICC is very friendly for rogue in the amount of drops that are available, so you should be able to reach a respectable amount of arp fairly quickly

It's worth it for warrior, only way to be sure is spreadsheet. We can't answer this kind of question for you honestly, not without your armory and running the same spreadsheet ourselves.

T10 head and shoulders are the ones you should aim for first if you are wanting to stay combat at end gear levels t10 4 set does pull slightly ahead, but only when you are talking full heroic icc 25 best in slot.

Doing a quick check i get 4014 dps when you gem full arp and 3945 when gemmed how you are now (this is self buffed only), so it is a slight upgrade but probably not worth the cash involved just yet. There are a lot of nice arp upgrades you can easily get from frost badges, cloak and belt probably your best.

What do people think of the T10 2 piece for Prot Paladins? I'm not sure whether I should just grab up the 2 piece from Badges or try for the cape (or something else). I already bought the Belt/Trinket.

Yeah, I'm tryin to get the frost badges, but not a lot of luck. If I do icc10/25 it's most likely only the first 4 bosses since the server I'm on is awful. Q_Q

Luckily for you, first four bosses of ICC give lots of good gear to rogue. Off the top of my head:

Marrowgar:
OH Axe from 10 man
Armor pen boots and good ring from 25man

Deathwhisper:
Offset armorpen chest and trinket from 10man
Offset shoulders from 25man

Gunship:
MH Axe from 10man
Chest and Back from 25man (better for mut though, for back you should get teh frost badge one)
OH Axe from 25man

Saurfang:
MH sword from 25man
DBW from 25man
Bracers from 25man
Offset armor pen hands from 10man
armor pen ring from 10man

Yeah, I just need to get into one each week. My GS is only like 5.1k, but I can do 8-9k in 25man, probably 7-8k in 10man if I decide to play well. It's not great but it's not bad.
