Pretty sure it doesn't matter what your gear level is, it's a dps modeler. Just because it comes preloaded with 277 gear doesn't mean you can't use it for lower stuff.
Someone help me settle a dispute. Been pugging Halion25 for 3 weeks now and I need to know if this guy is an idiot or if the portal to the phase 2 area deposits you somewhere randomly in front of the boss, always within cleave/breath range. As melee I've never gotten cleaved/breathed on the p2 transition but he insists that no matter where he is relative to the portal when he enters, he's right in front of the boss and while he doesn't get directly swatted, a cleave/breath is always going to kill him.
He dies. A LOT. And were he the only one dying on the transition I'd suspect his side of the story, but since we also have other ranged dying during the switch (the tank/healer are always in first, engaged with the mob) I'm curious if it really matters where you are when switching inside to where the port deposits you.
Haven't done Halion specifically but that would be counter to every other portal mechanic in game to date. They usually don't move you at all, you just end up in phased space from where you were standing when you clicked portal.
Weird question, I've made a DK on another server to play with work friends. My main DK is alliance, my alt DK elsewhere is Horde. Reason for choosing DK is familiar with class and that I don't need to start from 1. Assuming the work friends will quit soon (which I think they would thanks to Starcraft 2) than my other friends, and assuming my alt DK will have a nice handful of gold later (and other prof) is it possible to move him into my current server despite the 1 DK/server limit (or is that the limit for factions only)?
The portal spawns in the middle of wherever the physical Halion model goes to Phase 2.
And Halion pahse 3 phsycial realm spawns wherever iit went to phase 2.
Doh!
Lucky I didn't put much work in the alt-DK, since the people at work seem inactive, so I can write off the loss easy. Actually, not even made it out of the starting instance, heh!
I'm at 67 DK, and finally have enough for dual spec purchase, but....
Is it really worth it to dual spec this early? Or should I just hold on to all my cash and wait to get an epic flying mount? Dual Spec will make me more efficient (able to fill dps and tank roles in a group) but the epic flyers are awesomness. I'm leaning toward dual spec right now, but would like to hear some opinions - I'll probably dual spec blood for tanking (current spec) and 2H unholy for dd.
Once you queue as tank/dps you'll be tank 99% of the time anyhow. Personally if you want to do a lot of dungeons while on your way to lv80 then you might aswell just take 1 spec (tank) and use that to quest aswell. If its not your first character then it's really nifty to have epic (coldweather) flying as soon as possible since it makes question so much easier and quicker.
Well this is actually my highest lv character...5k gold for an epic flyer seems a little out of range, especially since I'd have to train cold weather flying again at 77 anyway.
Not sure what direction I'll go knowing how much it actually costs to get an epic flyer...I'll just keep saving till I figure something out.
Just get dual spec and get epic flying after you are 80 and with spare gold, 150% speed mount isn't that bad, my alt dk doesnt have epic and doubt i'll get it.
I hit 80 for 3 weeks now and still don't have epic flying. It's nice but not needed, just plan in advance how you wish to get around for a bit instead. Even with 6k gold on me right now I don't feel like buying epic flying yet because I could do with upgrades elsewhere.
Unless you actively mine or herb or do dailies, epic isn't a must. Especially since the dungeon finder.
I think I'm a little confused on cold weather flying as well.
WoWhead says that cold weather flying requires Artisan Riding skill - which is what's needed for an epic flying mount? So basically I won't be able to use my normal flying mount in northrend until I pony up this cost? Or can you ride your normal flying mount in northrend without this cost?
Sorry for the newb questions, but it's a little confusing on wowhead's database.
You can buy cold flying (which is what you need to fly on northlands) for 1k with just having normal flying.
Edit: Just need Expert Riding which is 225 riding skill to purchase cold flying.
Anyone know where I can get a really cheap/free Windows 7 64 bit? My friend said that some place give you windows 7 for free but refused to disclose where :/
Should probably try a more fitting forum than the WoW forum for questions like that <_<
