somewhat similarly my wow client has started locking up in WG and only WG... not in populated areas like keep or anything, whole screen freezes and I can't just end task in task manager, i have to go into processes, exit wow.exe from there and then restart the launcher. any idea what could be causing this?
messing aroundon rogue for pvp fun (only 10 atm) and was wondering what two weapons from heirloom I should be using. Friend said pve dagger and mace, I've seen rogues using the pve dagger and sword though.
don't think it matters much at low lvls but just curious before I spend mah extra tokens.
Anyone know of an addon that shows on an item possible quests it can be used for. I know Auctioneer currently shows the price of the item, but something similar along those lines but for quest purposes.
I'd have to double check but I believe that when the game freezes I'll get stuck in a casting animation on any ability like Icy Touch and Judgements.
I had completely uninstalled WoW so when I reinstalled I had to go and re-download all the addons I had been using so everything should be up to date. I hadn't thought too much about addons though so I'm going to double check what I'm using and see if 3.3.5 broke something.
2.8 mace and 1.5 delay dagger. crusader or 15 agi on both. don't spec into a specific weapon, just use something like this for leveling:

Not entirely true, as Ksandra is interested in PVP. Particularly in the teens (and 20's) bracket, talented Ambush is very OP, though you don't pick it up until 18.
pre-40:For PVP purposes the weapons you chose should be determaned on if you want burst or a more sustainable hack and slash damage. If you are going with daggers in PVP make sure you pick up the ambush glyph. After 40 rules change due to talents.
kk ty guys ^^
One thing I forgot, if your patient and can wait until cata, leveling rogue has been really fun and easy(at least in beta its been). Ambush is level 8 and can be done with sword/daggar/whatever, and at ten you can choose from shadowstep/mutilate/killing spree.
Wearing heirlooms at level ten = shadowstep/ambushing/one-shoting quest mobs.
So I would like to learn how to rogue pvp. I tried it going mut, but I feel like I put 0 pressure on people, and it's like I do almost no damage. I am using mostly pve gear, and a 245MH and a 232OH dagger. My current spec is 46/0/25. Should I just try to get full pvp gear and gem it AP? Or am I doomed to fail until I can get weapons that can match other players resil?
With my limited experience on PvP (mainly just be dueling with guild people in sewers) it seems the reason I put 0 pressure on people is because I have 0 PvP gear, which makes it easy for anyone to gun me down in literally seconds. Especially my shaman/priest friends I rarely scratch them because they absorb most of my damage and they keep kiting me, I managed to put some nice dents in a rogue though. I believe (and this is my work in progress too) that if you gear in PvP gear (unsure about AP) you should be able to hold your own for a bit.
I don't find PvP particularly fun at the moment (limited to fighting in sewers still), maybe because of being overpowered so easily, however I did get a small rush of excitement last week in hellfirepennisula when I was capturing the towers (and to do that you gotta flag PvP on) because it was a quest I never finished in there.
So I chilled by a tower and 2 level 65 horde guys turn up. I was "seemingly" afk, and the 2 guys were a moonkin druid and a rogue, I saw them buff up but I thought to myself "are they seriously going to try and take me on?". So I thought it was just a bluff, but they suddenly switched PvP on. The rogue distracted me for a brief second and then I got blown off a cliff. I thought I was gonna die, but thankfully the fall was very short, I was only at 75% HP. At this point I thought they might run but the Rogue continued running for me (dumb idea), so I gripped him and 2 shotted him. That actually felt good/fun for once (since it was technically my first PvP kill despite it being worth nothing) and makes me wonder what a PvP realm might truely be like, danger everywhere!
As a DK my plan is to grab the 232 PvP gear with my triumphs and then go from there and hang around in Wintergrasp.:D
Even without PVP gear, my disc priest is hard to kill. I love it.
Getting full PVP gear doesn't seem that difficult.
Just curious, but does blizz actually do anything against the players that are hacking in AB? I don't think I get into one anymore where one side hasn't. I report them all the time, and was wondering if I should even bother anymore.
Sometimes if someone (or myself) mentions they sent a report, the guy that's hacking just laughs which makes me think they doing do anything.
They eventually get caught if enough reports flood in. It doesn't happen right away but if it's an obvious hack like teleporting around the map the GMs can quite often shut it down while it's in progress.
More subtle shit almost never gets caught, like the stun-face hack.
Stub-face?
It's an anti-rogue pvp hack that I've seen twice so far. Cheap Shot -> your target immediately faces you so you can't backstab him. Same for Kidney Shot, or any other kind of stun. Shit is gay, I've seen tree druids basically spin 360s while getting chain-stunned by rogues in battlegrounds.
wow that's retarded, on a sidenote, backstab is uses in pvp >_>?
