Has anyone here done Ambassador? (5 horde factions to exalted) If so, what's the fastest and most efficient way to do it? I heard doing all the starting areas is the key to it, but I'm not positive if that works.

Did all the starting zone quests + some barrens. Got everything to exalted except TB and trolls, which was fixed with like 80g~ of runecloth.

Battlegrounds (or at least AV) will give minor amounts of Horde rep, Lunar Festival elders give 75 apiece, starter zone quests are a decent chunk, as are a good number of the quests in the 50-60 range dealing with pre-raid/raid lore (Blackrock stuff, etc).

Runecloth is pretty easy too, go grind the streets of Stratholme and you'll get 50bajillion.

Decently hard to solo the first time, piece of cake the next times through.

Basically, set focus on the shaman and whenever she sets to cast, mash a macro that has mind numb or whatever it is.

I usually start on her, IC PS, Pest, and then tab to one tiger. Kill it, she'll start healing it, let it go, then kill the other tiger and pest again before it dies. Start on the next one until plauges are about to go down, spread, and then tab to the next. Spread again to get them back on the one that went down and hit death strike, silencing as needed.

Basically, never let plagues go down, stay in Frost Pres and you should be fine. I never go below 80% hp and I'm similar geared. It's best if you go into the hut for phase 2 so tigers don't link and make things problematic. You can use Army of the Dead but they don't help all that much in my opinion.

Good luck on your drop, I'm 0/14 or 15. Can't remember.

There is a way to do it so the heals will always go to one of the tiger adds, I can't remember the whole strat but I'll look for it later tonight and post it.

Doing AV for rep was an ok solution pre-wotlk. Queues are 30min+ and could probably finish half a starting zone in that time. It's also only really good for org rep, since it only gives 15~ rep for other factions for the 10 blood turn in.

That's very battlegroup and side dependent. In my {BG} horde is insta~queue, and is always out numbered 2 to 1 so its slaughtering. If horde gets one tower they did well. Allience on the other hand is a 20 minute+ queue and a guaranteed win. You also see similar number disparities in lower brackets a lot. AV has been that way for the better part of a year and probably wont ever get fixed. It would be nice if when there is a large disparity in starting number, battlegrounds would go cross battlegroup but Blizzard isn't very much into fixing "old" content. They would rather rewrite class mechanics every few weeks instead.

Its a bit sad because I prefer the "old" content and leveling alts to what has become endgame in WotLK. Soemthing about BC was much more entertaining.

If you're done with WotLK faction rep grinding, the new city tabards are hitting in 3.1. Nothing has been said that they will work for rep, but it seems fairly likely they will. Could always wait for that.

It does, they are liike 200-500 rep each. Also, if a faction has a specific dungeon (like gnomeregan exiles + gnomeregan) go do all the quests there. I got Ambassador doing starter quests in Dun Morogh, those stupid fucking gnomes are a pain. Basically start in each area with low level quest tracking on, do every quest you can. If all else fails, I got a shit ton of runecloth on my way to Timbermaw exalted so you can just do that and then turn the runecloth in for rep.

Does anyone know how to get rid of Experience Points gained on screen battle text? I love taking screenshots but a lot of the ones that are Kodak moments are ruined with the exp blocking something nice or just ruining the picture.

I could have sworn I saw the setting, but I can't find it anywhere. I prefer MikScrollingBattleText addon for it, but with that enabled it shows it once on the addon, and once in game, annoying me to bits!

Yes, althou I can't imagine that's a very time efficient way of making gold unless you have ridiculous luck.

My question is, since I'm most likely still going to be questing in Sholozar, do the other zones offer anything I should worry about going to do or am I clear for just skipping straight to Wyrmcrest/Argent Dawn rep grinding and dungeons, for defense gear?

Are you leveling to 80 without touching Storm Peaks or Icecrown? If so, you're doing it wrong. You need to do a series of quests to unlock the Argent Crusade/Knights of the Ebon Blade/Sons of Hodir quartermasters and get lots of rep with those 3 while doing so. Best to just do them on the way to 80 since you'll have to do them once you are 80 anyway.

You will want to get a good way done with Icecrown at an absolute minimum, as it unlocks the fastest and easiest dailies for quick enchant/regem cash.
