shaman can also use shields, so him getting pissed about losing a roll on a non-shield offhand is a non-starter. Shields are fucking hard to get.

since he greeded he obviously didnt really want it so he should just shut his piehole
Weird question but some obvious bugs like Scourelord in PoS and the initial 3 bosses despawning in ToC, why do they persist and not get fixed? It seems Blizzard are pretty good most of the time to get things fixed, I still remember the awesome GM who teleported in front of us and fixed (or forced something) Arthas not moving in Culling of Strat (after the 2nd boss).
Is it worth busting my ass to try and improve my gear at this point in time?
I can't really get any improvements with Triumphs, I've only got a handful of Frost since I stopped playing right after ICC was added, and all the decent HC Drops that I could use never seem to show up.
And that's if I manage to get into the right Dungeon from the Random Groups after I've locked myself out.
I'd like to see ICC before Cata hits but mine seems lodged at 4.7k and the PuGs on Khadgar seem to want a 5 to 6k GearScore.
I can't imagine that Cata is too far off, should I make a push or just sit and mill about?
Also, how good are the Kirin Tor rings? I could reaplace one of my mage rings with it but the 9k or so price tag is a bit steep given how cheap I am.
The fully upgraded Kirin Tor rings are ICC 10 gear level and the dps caster ring was perfectly itemized, can't speak for the other rings though.
If you want to see ICC before Cata then it's not really that much work to get geared for it. With the Direbrew boss active you can get 4 badges from him + daily heroic. Get VoA 10/25 and the weekly raid done and that's and extra 10 for the week. That's a pretty good start towards a t10 helm.
Okay, fresh 80 priest, and I need to know if Rawr's Shadow Priest module is any good or if I need to fiddle with it like a fucking rubik's cube the way I do for Rawr.Mage. EJ's shadow priest threads have fallen off the face of the earth and I don't understand some of the gemming decisions I'm seeing on a random sample of spriests on Armory.
I stopped playing (at Dec. 3, '09) just after Icecrown raid came out. I main a holy pally. Here's my character: http://www.wowarmory.com/character-s...ul&cn=Caeleste
What should I work on in terms of characterization? I know there's a lot I need to catch up on in terms of end game. Since I forgot so many things, I want to get used to my character for now, slowly work my way back up. I am assuming 4.0.1 (with the new talents) is gonna come out within the next few weeks so I wanna be up to speed on what I should watch out for.
Any new recipe for jewelcraft and blacksmith? Alchemy (my alt is maxed)?
Honestly not much has changed since Icecrown first came out, newest recipies where the ones you get from Primordial Saronites back then. I wouldn't worry about learning about holy or gearing because from what I understand 4.0 is going to change everything about holy paladin and Cata is going to replace the best of the best gear in 3-4 levels.
Rawr isn't accurate for shadow priest Simcraft is a lot better, EJ and shadowpriest.com are best for information about spriest.
The patch with new raid system coming out, will that replace our badges too, and are the new trees out with it? My friend says they did the same previous expansion, 2 months before LK came out they put in the new talent trees for LK. I can't find clarification on mmo champ![]()
The answer to all of that is yes. 4.0.1 will add the talent changes, and major system changes, as well as converting current Triumphs and Frosts to Justice Points. 4.0.3 is going to revamp the old world to Cataclsym, new class/race combos, leveling changes for 1-58. Then when Cataclysm actually launches you'll get everything else, Worgen, Goblin, 80-85 content, etc.
They did the same for BC and Wrath, 2.0(BC) and 3.0(Wrath) were pushed several weeks prior to the actual launch.
What's the cap on badges -> points?
fuckfuckfuckfuck gotta respec before I do my next ICC25 then so I can roll for marrowga's axe!!!
And fuckfuckfuck gotta spend all my frosts
Thanks man!
Also what happens to Champion Seals? I've got a weird feeling that all heirloom will be migrated to that, or would they still be purchase with Justice's you think?
And what Tricen said, what's the cap? They recalculated, but if it's still 4000 Justice only I gotta convert my 1400~ triumps down to others for gold!
EDIT: I asked about heirlooms because I thought about splashing it all on every possible piece incase I need it for the future, otherwise, 346 triumphs will hit me the soft cap (what's soft cap mean? lol) of 4000 JP, meaning I gotta convert 1000 badges down for gold!
Kind of, there's a hard cap, and a soft cap in 4.0.1. When that goes in, you can have your badges converted above 4000, however, you cannot earn anymore until you spend enough to be under 4000 again. Then in 4.0.3 anything above 4000 is converted to gold.
It also doesn't look like Champion's Seals are being touched, for what it's worth. Heirlooms are still purchasable with Justice Points in the beta as far as I know as well, I haven't been to Dalaran to look.
We’ve revised the Justice Points conversion rate for Emblems of Triumph and Emblems of Frost. When the upcoming 4.0.1 patch goes live, these emblems will be converted into 11.58 Justice Points (up from the previously planned 2.75 Justice Points per emblem). Justice Points accrued above the soft cap of 4,000 will be converted to gold at a rate of 47.5 silver per point (down from 2 gold per point) when patch 4.0.3 goes live.
The original explanation thread (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...Id=26850245012) and the subsequent conversion math update (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/th...&pageNo=10#184) have been updated to reflect these changes.
[...] The previous conversion rate was intended to devalue Frost and Triumph a bit to discourage some amount of farming and hoarding of points before the conversion, but then we came to the conclusion that no matter what we do people would be farming well above the softcap, and we shouldn't try to make it more difficult for them to do so.
