Interesting. Shows you how much I know about non-Wotlk content.

Icewalker or Turkarr's on boots for a Mage?
Finally got an upgrade for my boots which currently have Icewalker, sitting at cap with a Spaceman in party and I can use a trinket to hit cap when there isn't. Just wondering whether the added move speed/stamina will be better than the extra Hit/Crit.
Has Blizzard stated whether or not you'll still be able to get the Starcaller title after 4.0? Or will they be removing the achievement for killing Algolon?
That would be pretty pimp if everyone's dps doubles cause of class changes like the end of TBC so I could farm an ICC drake hella easy
Im almost 100% sure they wont get rid of kingslayer.
Really try and make a 10man run today and get a good inspection on people (not gearscore but achievments gems/specs etc), and its really easy to get to lk in a few hours and kill him 30% makes it a joke if you have a solid group with half a brain between you all.
I tried him only once on hunter, most we got him was to like 50%~ and I've been gone for a month playing FFXIV. I still keep having to log out to get another addon I forgot I had n' such, so I would be completely incompetent lol. I don't have the knowledge enough to run a group.
I haven't played in awhile but just reactivated, what's the reason why everyone thinks LK will be so much more easier and may become a feat of strength? Just talent changes?
Fuck yeah flexible raiding, hoping I can get a LK kill, title or no title haha![]()
I just got 2 of my shadow edge bloods/items.
The rules stated by leader at the beginning and even before the the boss, that whoever wins first will get second. I won the first, a DK QQs to me that he wanted the 2nd item because he only has first half. I didn't say anything.
Come 2nd boss, we kill it, the item gets rolled straight to me by raid leader, who is my guild leader convieniently. No one else said anything. This DK rage quits and said he'll GM.
I'm worried for my guild leader, as I've not experienced this kinda thing before. What will happen?
I hear GMs can investigate/check logs and such. As it's clearly stated already, should it be ok?
(ps. I know Shadow's Edge will suck next month but I think I'll build it after Primos become worthless toobut before cata comes out)
Loot rules clearly stated beforehand, and abided by means GM probably won't give a shit what whiny DK whines about.
But still, I'll stash the items in bank for now, I don't feel like dropping gold on it yet, will see what patch does to the things first. I don't have any other item that's on par with Shadow's Edge. Maybe I'll get some other weapon later.
As for that DK, I suppose the fact no one else seemed to give a shit (I just recalled) means he's safe I guess, no one went "omg ninja" or anything except the DK before rage leaving.
Posting this here since I don't think it deserves it's own thread. But here goes:
Is it too late to start playing WoW? I played for about a week several years ago, and did enjoy it, but was still heavily involved in FFXI and really didn't have time for it. I know the game has been out for years and years, and my question is basically, is it too late in the game to start? I know if you're an experienced player, you can start up a toon and get him going. But when you know where everything is, what to do, where to go, have ample cash, etc, it's a whole lot easier. But when it comes to WoW I am completely clueless, so I would have lots of learning to do. I know there is an expansion due out soon, but I really don't know jack shit about the game otherwise, as far as builds, whats what, etc. I want to play an MMO and FF14 is not going to be right for a while (if ever) so I'm looking for something to do. The F2P MMO's all seem to suck balls and just don't have the polish or depth that I do remember in WoW. What do you guys think?
It's easy enough to get back into. WoW has an enormous community as you might imagine. There are plenty of leveling guides to show you the best/quickest route to 80, how to powerlevel crafts, how to spec for max DPS/healing/survivability and so on. Once you hit 80 it's just a matter of doing dungeons to gear out, then progressing through raids to improve your armor. New stuff is always coming out in WoW, the downside is stuff you worked for becomes obsolete, but the upside is people like you who are just starting won't take months to catch up.
Fair enough, thanks Ceph. I'm downloading the free trial, what restrictions does the trial impose if any?
There are a bunch of restrictions because of all the spammers and goldfarmers. You can only level so far (I think to 20?) have a certain amount of gold, and your chat capabilities are restricted somewhat
Note that tomorrow is a 24 hour maintenance, so if you're downloading the free trial keep in mind that you won't be able to play tomorrow and the patch is huge
