Kaylia: spend it now if you play actively, and farm 4000 before the patch/cata hits and you're fine. I converted my 18000 to all the gear I can buy (mainly tank gear) and then converted it to "cash" via gems. Unless you're too lazy to farm or busy, then don't spend it. Worked out better as it was roughly 2JP for 1 gold, but I was buying gems with 110 JP and selling them for 100 gold, doubling my profit somewhat.

They'll cap you at 4000 when cata comes out anyway.

This is actually why I'm pretty sure I'll be quitting Paladin completely. Went into ZG (which I could steamroll as Ret or do easily as prot before), died to the Raptor boss as ret and switched to Prot...took almost 10 minutes to kill the Raptor boss as prot plus I actually got very low at one point. Scooted over to the tiger boss and since AoE from Ret is so low right now it took me like six tries to get to phase 2 which is still easy. Pretty stupid taking all soloing ability away though.

Thanks. I'm not planning to do any raiding until cata, so I will try to keep my amount around 4000.

It's weird they are hardcapping it at 4000 considering you much point item cost (1000+ for BoA). I was under the impression only 4000 points would carry over to cataclysm, where they would increase the cap.

I miss ardent defender. It was so op.

I will try building a word of glory solo spec before giving up. I'm probably going to kill extremely slow with it, but as long survivability is here, I don't mind.

You could still use your points to gear up/sell gems and just by doing a few Random Dungeons and the Weekly every now and then you'll be back up to 4k by the time Cata hits.

I spent about 3k Points last week on T10 pieces and a Trinket for my Mage and I'm back up to 3.6k or so.

Yeah, but I'm too lazy to even farm that. I only came back to go after certain achievement before WoTlk end (ulduar/ heroic arthas). If they would have been made worthless, i would have tried to make money with them, but I will wait to see what you can buy in cata before wasting them.

You can already get a list of what you can buy in cata on mmo-champ and wowhead, and saving the points will get you all of 1~2 of those pieces at 85. I wouldn't.

Whenever I hover over an item on my alts, my game freezes for a second or two before it loads it. This never happens on my main, and I use a lot more addons on that char. Anyone know what could be causing it?

Are you using any addons like Informer or leftovers from the Auctioneer Suite that add data to the tooltip on stats or vendor prices?

I had a similar problem until I disabled mine.

Nope, no AH addons.

Edit: Apparently it was RatingBuster. Don't know why it lags my alts and not my main though...

I forget exactly which one it was. Auctioneer had one that added AH history/Sales/Vendor prices and I had another that converted Attributes to Stats.

i.e. Int > SP value, Hit > % Rates.

All I know is one of them was causing the few-second lag first time I moused over something due to the added info in the tooltip.

I think it's still broke. I had a few tooltip Addons and can't remember which was causing the initial lag. Figured Noobta may have been using one of the ones I had.

Do Goon Squad guild still exist? I came across their homepage by accident and it seems it hasn't been updated since 3.1, but yet they seem to have a lot going for it. I'm actually surprised at how they describe it running. Due to the name, is it related to Something Awful? (Their EvE online Guild/clan/corp, whatever you call them are named GoonSwarm)

I'm quite intrigued how they seem to be making a career/job out of it, and it's the first time I'm aware of a guild actually being that large (i.e. over 500 members) -- now I understand why Cata placed a cap on guild numbers, it's kinda fascinating.

You'd be suprised at how funny some people can be.

There are quite a few guilds out there that are over 500+ members, currently on my server the largest is a guild called the leveling agony and its somewhere in the region of 600+ mainly levelers and alts, but considering im on a low pop server its quite big.

I've noticed that many fury warriors have reforged for hit rating, instead of mastery. Am I the only one who thinks mastery is worth more? Even pre-4.0.1 trying to reach the hit cap for white hits was stupid from what I remember. I was told you'll end up gimping yourself in the process.

I've reforged 13 items for mastery, increasing phys. damage bonus from Death Wish from 20 to 30%, Enrage(talent) 10% to 15% and raging blow up to 153%. Doing some pretty awesome dps since the buff but tanks are having problems keeping threat. Finding myself using my ofuckimtankingshieldwallNAO macro more than ever.

Goons still exist on both factions, multiple servers, and on Euro realms as well.

The main Alliance Goon Squad is on Kel'Thuzad, generally right around 500 people in guild. The main Horde Goon Squad is much, much larger.

Pre 4.0.1 Heroic strike was bugged so that the accompanying white hit never missed. That is why no one went over the soft hit cap.
