To any raiding arcane mages out there, are you able to keep your mana above 90% in the non-burn phase using ABx4->AM? I have only tested arcane on dummys and am unable to do so.

Did they fix the mage armor glyph? Because I doubt you could even sustain ABx3 -> AM without some help on your mana regen.

Not sure what was broken with the glyph but I can easily do ABx3AM without replinishment.

i have no problem ending fights with almost 100% mana either, with world of flames talent or whatever it is called where your crits refund mana. AB crits are so gross now though lol, 105k crits on saurfang 25, and 210k crits on BQ is just funny.

I"m sure the question has probably come up before. A friend of mine has convinced me to come back and check out wow. I haven't played since the vanilla days of wow, and i got my character back who is level 60. I logged in to the game, and I didn't have a clue where to go. What's/where's the best place to start up stuff and get going again? I figure after a couple hours i'm sure i'll figure it out again, but it would be nice to have some headway. Thanks in advance.

At 60 just check directly into Outland's questlines, the ports from the mage areas directly to blasted lands will set you on the correct path immediately.

Pretty much the above. Go to outlands (portal through Blasted lands) and start in Hellfire (both for horde and ally). You don't need to finish up all of Hellfire before moving on, but its a good questing zone. From there I think you go to Zangramarsh and you can choose a few diff zones after that to finish up the trek to 70 in. But you should go to shadow... something zone right away to pick up flying skill / mount since you can now fly at 60. Will make questing at the earlier areas a joke since they are made for ground mount questing

You can learn flying in Thrallmar/Honor's Hold now.

With Heirlooms/Random dungeon, I usually go Hellfire->Zangar->Terokkar and get 68 near the end of Terokkar. I haven't had to level in any other outland zones for a while.

He hasn't had a chance to get heirlooms if he hasn't played since vanilla. I skip Terokkar though, never really liked questing in the zone, I do Nagrand. And with some dungeons in the mix that's all you need to hit northrend at 68.

Leveled my Rogue 60-65 in Hellfire for reference, then went to Zangra 65-68. 68-70 in Nagrand.

However, I queue'd for a lot of battlegrounds while I quested. By the time I was 65, it was AV weekend. Each victory gave me half a bar, so that definitely sped things up quite a bit.

Three weeks is enough time to grind any class to 80, even without Heirloom gear. They usual key tips always apply: Do every non-group quest, stay queued for BGs/random dungeons nonstop, use a levelling guide (Tour Guide still works, sorta) for 1-70, take talents that increase run/mounted speed for levelling purposes, buy your riding skill upgrades asap.

Just about everything else doesn't really matter (race/gear/etc) for levelling speed, it is possible to speed-level and have fun at the same time.

Correct you would have to pay for a server swap to be able to use Heirloom gear however you can send it to yourself from horde to ally on the same server now.

Why not wait for all the change to grind the jobs if you have done it already?


Either way, I wouldnt worry about the heirloom. Right now, they are at a ridiculous price balanced for cataclysm, and while they are helpful, the difference is still not that huge.
