Don't think resistance is linear anymore, increasing it simply increases the chance to have any resist happen. The actual amount resisted is arbitrary.

Is VT Any harder than mag or ODS? My guild finally has enough to start raiding and did Wyrmbreaker the other night. Trying to determine the best path to progress and get geared so people don't get tired of wiping on something we might not be prepared for as a whole.
ODS and Magmaw are really easy, easier than Halfus depending on the drakes you had up. V&T isn't that hard but requires more coordination.

Resto shaman gear/enchant/gem halp? D:
Planning on T11 gloves next for 2p, but I'm unsure whether to reforge some haste or keep full on crit, I only hover around 8/9k hps on boss fights, can link WoL if needed but seriously, I want to top healing meters with a h.priest and pala or am I gonna have to wait for a shaman buff/pala nerf?
(I know orc sucks too, but mine is pretty :3 )
question, I used to have an addon (I think a chat addon) that would let you set your main character, so when you talked on your alt it would show the main name next to the alt name. I have prat right now and the option is no longer there, not sure if that was the addon or not. Anyone know what I'm talking about?
i dinged 85 on my mage finally, but the only thing keeping me from lvl 85 dungeon are my fucking trinkets. i kept running stonecore but that trinket would NEVER drop for me or some person who did half my fucking dps would get it. what do? stuck in gear hell atm
You should be able to get into heroics with low trinkets, try buying rep gear you can't use to boost your ilvl. I had full 346 gear for a week before I finally replaced my Hdbw and shitty green 280~ trinket from a quest.
that still works? wow. i thought they fixed that.. glad i'm almost honored in the pyramid place lol(mind is totally blanking)
PvP gear works surprisingly well compared to before for DPS. We got a PvP "only" DK in guild and he is spec'd PvP, and I've been doing random heroics with him and he has full blue honor PvP gear (level 352 stuff) and I've been trying to out DPS him with little to no effect. If I pull 13k on single target he pulls ahead with 1k more, it's been competitively fun. Granted, he's fully gemmed and enchanted, and so far I've been a cheapass with my gems and enchants, the prices are too unreasonable to the gear I'm not sure if I'll even keep yet.
Still, I think PvP gear will work good for you too temporarily if you need to bump up your ilvl.
The Conquest Point weapons are absolutely amazing for PvE, looking at it from a Fire Mages point of view the Vicious Spellblade (359 only conquest point item) is on pretty much on par with any 359 raiding weapon mainly due to bad raiding weapon itemization. I also heard that the only Axe 1 hander for a Orc Frost DK is from PvP also. As far as blue PvP gear goes through, I sure wouldn't want to be doing a heroic with someone using it. It's the equivalent of someone using green gear more or less.
I'm actually kind of surprised they didn't itemize any one hand strength axes in this tier of raids. With 3 classes that could potentially use them(DK, Prot Paladin, Warrior) it's equal to the spread of classes that use agility axes. There's 3 346 blue strength axes, however.
So blizzards idea was to make the difficulty gap between 10s and 25s much closer together. Are 10s actually harder now or what cause I see some guilds that used to be hardcore only running 10s now and I see some still running 25s.
Ah yep I forgot to say I'm also one. Except I dual wield and he doesn't so it's been interesting to race. I've never seen another DK in random dungeons perform as good though but I guess it's all down to knowing how to play/max dps. But I just get joyfully competitive when placed against someone of the same class :>
