I've seen worse![]()
lol
A lot of the later fights are mana intensive. Telluric Currents is very good especially in 10 man. 25 is undoubtedly harder, and a lot of the better guilds are refusing to do 10-man simply because it's a little easier. And it's absolutely not true that you can let 1-5 people die and end up winning. Maybe on some casual normal mode shit like Valiona/Theralion but if you have even one person die on heroic Maloriak, the raid WILL suffer. 1 healer dead on Omnotron throughout the fight? Say goodbye to the other healers mana and another raid cooldown(equals more healing). It is absolutely not easier in 25 man.
As I said, haven't been in heroic modes yet, but I've done most of them on both 10 and 25 and 10 is just more punishing. Maybe when you're in a lolperfect guild it's easier to do 10 mans, but when you're dealing with imperfect people I can tell you for a fact you can leave more than a few face down in 25 when that would straight up wipe you in 10. Again, I know this because I've done most of them on both 10 and 25. In 25 we killed Omnotron on pull #1, maloriak pull #2 or 3, Halfus on pull #2, valiona pull #2, etc etc etc, when it took us half a dozen on 10. Why? Well, because in 25 when people were dead we could kill it anyway.
Also, telluric currents is fine, but movement speed is the best stat in the game. If you're running out of mana on normal 10s it's most likely because you're not filling your time with good HPM / bad HPS spells, but it could also be the other reasons I listed. In heroics you should absolutely be tailoring your spec to the fight you are currently progressing on, and that includes dropping the cleansing talent for the many encounters which don't require cleansing this tier.
How do you complete the last boss in stonecore achievement (Kill 60 mobs in 10 seconds), got pala tank, just wondering if I have to tank all 60 adds until she lands or just taunt boss and go to town?
Leveling a warlock to try it out as a new "main" Any suggestions for leveling spec and endgame spec? Right now im leveling as a demo lock for the felguard tank style of play. i tried affliction back in wotlk and my hots werent enough to kill mobs so i couldnt do the hot and run playstyle. Looking at the top dps specs, i was surprised to see destro lock as #3 most damaging spec. should i be destro for endgame?
pull her with a 40y-ability then pick up all the adds and have someone CC them (lock with shadowfury) and kill them when she lands
Destro seems to be the king lock spec for this tier. Also, I really liked destro for leveling 80-85, before that I don't know, I leveled straight affliction, back when siphon life was wtfhaxleveling, but 80-85 I rarely had issue with burning down anything before it could do the same to me (including elites)
Afflic and Demo are great for leveling. For raiding, Afflic/Destro are the specs to be... probably destro until you have some gear.
Been a while since I've been home on a Tuesday. Is it normal when you try and launch the game that it says "Launcher cannot obtain patch information. Please check your internet configuration."?
lol, it wasn't by choice, just a matter of my fail internet dropping when an aoe spell ticks on 61 mobs at once
Plow, i've avoided that issue/had it depending on varying situations: AOeing 98450385 whelps on ony? Was fine, Everyone getting hit by slime/healed on chimaeron? Crash, everyone group up for chogal p3? Crash. I removed my "everything" log in my combat log tab - seemed to fix it, no DC ever since.
Wireless internet ftl.
My connection sucks, I've done pretty much everything imaginable to try to fix it, for over a year now.
I can generally stay connected in raids after about midnight my time, anytime other than that 25's are guaranteed to kick me soon as combat starts, and 10's will kick me when shit gets intense.
I just eat the deserter buff if I get in AV or IoC, because as soon as I get near major combat in either of them I'm just going to dc and eat it anyway.
I leveled 80-85 as affli, and was still able to run DoT trains and not care. It's not as faceroll as before, as you have to actually use some of your spellbook outside of instant cast dots, but I generally pulled as much as I could, and I don't think I ever actually died outside of lolworldpvp.
Meh, I want to race change my druid to worgen but I'd miss shadowmeld so much. Been toying around w/ the idea for the past week... sucks
and.. no dot/bleeds/ect clip anymore right? Its just, if you overlap too early you lose mana/energy/whatever by not being as efficient?
Yeah, you can't clip, they just 'add on'; but it's inefficient since you may have been able to use those resources elsewhere and then reapply the dot when it actually expires
Correct me if I'm wrong but I think this is how it works:
When you reapply a dot/hot it refreshes the effect, with any remainder time added onto the duration. If you reapply the dot during the "dead time" at the end of the debuff, you essentially just extend the duration of the effect, without changing the tick time. If you refresh it earlier than the last tick, I believe you still get the dead time tacked on, but you lose any whole ticks from the initial cast that haven't occurred yet. If you refresh it after the effect has expired, the dead time is wasted. Thus, for optimal results you should refresh your dots between the last tick and the expiration of the spell; any time in that region has the same benefit as far as that one effect is concerned.
