A good dps can easily outperform your average pugger while taking less damage, and tank's mitigation doesnt scale that well with gears (going from ungemmed ilvl328 to ilvl 346 isn't going to make a dent on your healer's mana).
The main cause of wipe in heroic is people failling at the simple gimmick, and healer's manapool/regen is the only thing that will save that group.
No one need to be geared to beat heroic, that's not the point I was making, but a fresh ungemmed healer isn't going to have a smooth ride most of the time.
Edited it out like 5 sec before your post lol
I do some epic food dps in deadmines.
Did they remove Anzu again? I just went through Sethekk hall and his room his filled with trash
I'd imagine you didn't go through on heroic.
Yeah, you must have forgotten to put Heroic on. Done it before when bringing a friend along. Got to his room and it was full of trash, no Anzu.
I've been doing him everyday for 3 weeks. Still no drop. I really need to stop doing it as the first of my routine everyday. Kind of a down note to start on.
That would make sense...godamnit.
is it feasible for a tankadin to do anything useful in BGs ?
Has anyone else run into an "unreachable" artifacts with Archaeology? Just hit 300+ skill and can hit sites in Outlands and I ran into one in Dragonmaw Fortress, Shadowmoon Valley that is just outside the allowable survey range. I've tried going at it from different angles but just can't get it. Thought maybe I was doing something wrong.
Well, I did mining just not very high. You'd think with Archaeology since it's specified areas that they'd be within the limiting range given. I can sort of understand plants/mines popping in unreachable areas such as structures/trees/rocks at times since they're all over the map, but an artifact outside the red area on the map? Sucks I have a digsite that won't go away now until they fix it.. if they do. Oh well, still have the other three to fly between.
How do I bear tank? I keep taking insane amounts of damage, and the gear is all 346 except the 333 bracers. Reforged some haste into dodge, which I can ofc reforge to mastery, but really I just hate having only two -damage CDs and barkskin aint that great to begin with :/
Frenzied regeneration counts as a cooldown too. Not sure if the glyph is a major thing or not (probably depends on the situation). A lot of tanks take insane amounts of damage during certain things, normally when they're doing something wrong though. So the issue could very well not be bear or anything of the sort. Look up if you should be going for agi/dodge/mastery and just know how to juggle your cooldowns. I hit divine protection (same thing as barkskin) all the time, usually every other pull at the start of the pull, depending on how big it is. You really need to get used to using your cooldowns for more than just boss fights, they're very huge for trash too. And you can always just CC a mob or two as well.
Yeah, use CC until you overgear the content quite significantly. A few less things beating on you is big. Also gripe about interrupts if spells are getting off.
Also as a bear you should have barkskin running virtually every pull (1 minute CD), and if there's more than 2 or 3 things, demo roar should be one of your first buttons, both for threat and to reduce incoming damage. For the larger pulls I pre-pop bearwall (Survival Instincts) instead of barkskin, and if things don't die fast enough I can follow up with barkskin after SI wears off.
anyone know of an addon that gives you an arrow or something to show what direction your target is?
as in raidtarget? or quest location?
