So, I'm looking at sinestra recount of paragon and the tanks are doing 19k and 20k with a wooping 9 hit rating and 3 or so expertise.

Pretty sure they only used one tank and he did 17k DPS, still pretty damn high though even for a boss with adds and that probably caps your Vengeance like mad.

While it could be wrong if you go over to wowhead and look at the Sinestra page someone posted their setup and the Druid was feral DPS according to that.

That druid is using a bear spec with tank gear on armory and his 2nd spec is resto.

People in Paragon tend to switch their specs for every fight, while its completely possible they used two tanks its also completely possible they didn't. We don't really know I guess.

I have a hard time believing a Paragon feral dps is going to essentially be doing the same damage as the tank without a lot of bear tanking situations happening.

while leveling? anything with block+ ---> Stam/str -> Hit/dodge -> expertise/parry At 85 mastery ------> dodge/stam --> parry -> hit/expertise.

My guild is short on healing and long on DPS. Being a mage that kind of doesn't enjoy mage that much, I'm going to start working on a healer alt. Which class would be recommended? Most of my guild's healers are either Druid or Paladin, with not more than a couple of either Shaman or Priest.

I've never played priest, out of the other 4 guess I'd prefer Shaman -> resto(wotlk) - -> hpala/druid. the advantage to druid and pala is you can gear as tank and get insta queues , as shaman you can pretty much dps your way to 85 in your resto gear. And earth shield is OP for healing tanks while leveling.

Iunno, I have a priest at 64 and leveling as disc was fun as hell, smite spam heal effect is enough for any tank that isn't dumb or undergeared or whatnot, and you out-damage most dps~

Priest is way better in current content. Play shaman if you don't mind being a support healer/MTT bot (it's still fun though regardless).
H.Priest is a lot more complex than Shaman to heal with, main thing with Shaman is using Tidal Waves to it's maximum potential and being aware of where people are for Chain heal.
Main thing with priest is knowing when to use one of the hundred tools you have at your disposal. (Not played Disc in cata but whilst lvling it was boring just using shield+smite spam).

Also using the "use resto gear to dps with on shaman" isn't a valid reason since Priest can do the exact same thing with Shadow.

Which is why I said at the beginning of my post 'I haven't played priest' thanks for missing it. I never said priest were shit or bad healers, he asked for recommendations and I gave mine based on what I know.

Shaman in raids, Priest in heroics.
Lvled Pala to 70. And it doesn't really change except for holy radiance since it's such a freaking simple healer to play.
And not really played druid since it's only 50 atm and haven't got all the cool spells yet, so I guess I was wrong to act like I knew druid.

But he said his guild was lacking in priests and shamans, so just gave my views on those two.

They released the video today, it is a bear tank. The unusually high DPS comes from a 100% Haste buff for 3 minutes that Calen gives when he dies.

That's maybe 1% of Sinestra's health, and that figure probably includes adds, so it's not that unreasonable
