Boomkin: 42% of her damage was DoTs with uptimes of 65/86/27.
Fire Mage: 41.6% of my damage was DoTs with uptimes of 84/85/53/10

I also went to take a look back at when I was FFB glyphed (although sadly I don't have any completed Halfus fights of this). World of Logs for some reason calls Frostfire Bolt by the name of Fireball but around 5% of my damage was from the FFB DoT although for some reason it says an uptime of 2% when its around 100%...
A feral druid is roughly 55% dots on single target at the moment, with a 40-50% crit rate (remember it's a 2 way buff, your crit rate is important for increasing the warlocks DPS)
A shadowpriest runs at roughly 70% dots
On an add intensive fight where a moonkin can tab target insect swarm/moonfire their dots are roughly 70-75% of their damage

On single target fights it should be on a shadowpriest then feral druid

The spell does absolutely nothing on a tank.

On an add intensive fight a mage can spread all of his DoTs instantly without having to tab a single time and if used with combustion it will be more than 75% of his damage. I can definitly understand putting it on a DoT based class like a Spriest before a Fire Mage, but Fire Mage is still one of the best targets to put it on. For instance my raid doesn't have any DoT casters but me and the boomkin so it goes to me.

Sp, boomkin, feral, and some flavors of mages all will keep pretty much 100% uptime on the buff. So at that point you just want to put it on the most reliable / highest dps one of those you have. After 4.0.6 feral probably will not be such a hot target.

For fights without dps checks, putting it on the rdruid will maintain 100% uptime, and can be geared to push the druid over the next haste breakpoint on WG which is a pretty massive improvement.

Also, WTG Blizzard on still not recognizing the problem with rdruid and making yet another mana cost tinker with rejuv rather than address the problem. http://elitistjerks.com/f73/t110354-...3/#post1850597 is a pretty solid post on the subject, completely in line with my thoughts.

Fire mages best stat is also crit, so they'll have more of it than many other casters.

People are fucking stupid if they are doing this for the most part. They may see feral and think you are dps or something idk.

In terms of DPS classes, it gives the most DPS increase to Spriest > Boomkin > Fire Mage > Feral > Surv > Frost/Combat swap depending on lock spec.
In terms of Healing, it's dependent on the healer, but priority is rdruid > holy priest(raid heals) > rsham > holy priest
For PERSONAL DPS gain, the order is Boomkin > Spriest > Fire > Feral > Frost > Surv.

All dependent on who it's put on, but for the most part that's the order. The differences in personal gain is very minute between the top few classes. However for raid dps gain, the spriest can see up to 600-700dps gain from it over boomkin, after that it's very minute. Remember it's based on Dots/Hots Critting, and there are some spells/glitches that should proc it but do not, and some classes can not stack it as fast as others or can't at all.

If it's a healing intensive fight, or you are bringing less healers, or a healer is struggling, healer always gets it first. This is the case for most pugging heroics. In heroics, It's almost always on the healer just cause pugs are bad. On progression fights, probably healer as well. My usual raid comp has Rdruid, Holy Priest, and the best dps I could give it to is a hunter - so it's almost exclusively on the resto druid.

If I leave my guild, will I lose the guild page I purchased? Not that it's a huge deal, I honestly just want to know, and no one responded to the thread I made on General in the WoW forums.

    Anyone know?

It's only two and I don't believe they're affected by haste like the other casters' dots (and ferals? I can't remember if Rip/Rake are subject to haste or not); DK is one of the worse options among the offensive choices.

They are certainly unaffected by haste, dark intent on a DK is pretty dumb

I thought all DoT's got haste these days. Good to know DK's don't gain from it like that.

It has nothing to do with dots being affected by haste or not.

"When you or the linked Target gains a critical periodic damage or healing effect, the other gains an increased 3% increased periodic damage and healing lasting for 7 sec. Stacks up to 3 times."

Unholy and Frost are between 9th and 14th respectively on the dps priority list. Dk's can gain up to 2100dps from dark intent.

What I posted is based on a patchwerk fight, but it's pretty damn accurate. Unless you are having trouble with healing and keeping the raid up, it must always go to the spriest. After that, boomkins and fire mages can fight over it. Remember it's dependent on dots/hots critting, so it's not just about who has the most dots/hots it's about who has the most that can crit, and who crits with them the most often. I can see where haste values may come into play here, faster ticks more chances to crit, but DI procs come from the crits themselves, which is one reason why boomkins frost mages and surv hunters are even on the list at all, let alone top 6 for the most part. Percent of damage from dots is the main contributor for who gets it, sunfire is the only reason boomkins are above fire mages.

When you say "unless you are having trouble with healing and keeping the raid up, it must always go to the spriest", you actually mean "unless you are having trouble with an enrage timer, it must always go to a healer".

    lol, maybe.

After you have a boss on farm, you shouldn't be having any trouble with healing or hitting enrages - so who do you put it on then, DPS or Heals? DPS.

edit: also, I'm the lock, so I want the biggest personal gain from it lol. An additional 2200-4000 dps is nice to toss on someone in the raid, unfortunately for me my raid is only 6 bosses in and only just picked up a surv hunter 2 weeks ago (5th/6th on priority list). Before him my only other dps option was an ele shaman which is 10th. So my DI has always been on our rDruid who is also our best/most geared healer. My sister whos our holy priest hates me for it, but it's not my fault she doesn't have teh purpz.

Heals. Would you rather a 2 second faster kill or an even more remote chance of wiping?

He said on farm status. So would probably go on DPS most of the time.

That, seriously, if you have trouble with the boss but can down within enrage timer? Yeah it should go to the healer, if you're consistently downing the boss there's no reason it should need to be placed on healers

Farm status bosses = put buffs on healers to prevent random wipes. Nobody except you gives a shit about your personal dps on farm content.
