This just in: anyone who spends what you consider a large amount of money on a minor DPS increase is a dirty, filthy gold buyer.
Hi, I'm the internet. We make jokes here. Nice to meet you.
Obvious guilty conscious me thinks.
Also, thanks for the tips. Was looking good til those rep gloves got posted. Hopefully I can still get about 10k for them.. maybe less. Thought I was freaking rich when I first saw how much people sold them for, but I can't argue with an easy chunk of money.
Let's be serious. Not too long ago someone was selling a darkmoon card for too little: you immediately assumed goldseller. Now, the issue of 20k for a limited boost to DPS comes up and you immediately assume goldbuyer. Now, if they were both jokes I'll apologize, but really you feel like those people during FFXI inflation that accused everyone of buying/selling gil anytime the subject of price was mentioned. Again, I'm sorry if they were both jokes but I'm sure you can understand that it can quickly become annoying after years of seeing sub-par players make the same accusations over and over again in various games in order to provide themselves some reasoning to why they fall behind.
I don't think I was the one who assumed the darkmoon card was a goldseller. I know someone did, but pretty sure it wasn't me. I may have agreed. And to be honest if that was me, my bitterness about gold buyers stems from the fact that these people throw their real money away on stupid shit like online currency when I struggle to buy necessities like gas to keep my busted-ass old truck from dying in the middle of the interstate. (In b4 lol y u playin wow?)
Lol at calling me sub-par. :/ In WoW, you bet your ass I am, and a noob to boot. I freely admit that. Not so much in FFXI.
Dammit now I gotta look that's gonna bug me.
Okay I knew it wasn't me. Did a search of all my posts in the WoW forums and found nothing, happened upon that conversation though (starts the post below mine) http://www.bluegartr.com/threads/652...t=#post4401628 so yeah, wasn't me.
It did, but I can forgive and forget. I heard a lot of whining in FFXI about how hard it was to make gil, too, and I suppose I did some myself but I still managed to gear up. In WoW it just seems so stupid because gold is so fucking easy to make.
Play nice kids...
(and not to white knight for Askannyi but gold buying jokes: not new)
And I was all prepared to goon you.
I'd appreciate a 'best single target' retribution spec, and once hitcapped should I just gem STR and STR/haste or str/crit?
Edit: My OS is holy but we dont really need another healer and I kinda feel useless having only prot with the other tanks having to go dps for 1 tank fights.
So most of our guild is now ready to start with raiding (fucking finally), and was curious as to what you guys think would be the easiest of the normals to start with (10mans onry) so I can start doing some serious research?
Conclave of Wind > Halfus > Magmaw > Omnotron > Valiona & Theralion > Maloriak > Chimaeron > Atramedes > Ascendant Council > Cho'gall > Al'akir > Nefarian is a pretty easy route.
kk ty!
How is chimaeron easier than atramedes lol?
should probably be some qualifiers or == signs in that progression list, a lot of guilds that can kill magmaw can't kill halfus, and so on.
It honestly really depends on your guild's strengths and your group makeup.
Halfus this week is Storm, Time, Whelps. Which is a pretty easy combination in the scheme of things, but if your group is better at coordination fights than outright DPS fights, start with Conclave.
After that Arv is pretty right on. Although the choice to go to Chimaeron or Atramedes is completely dependent on the strength of your healers. Atramedes is a complete joke once your group understand the basic mechanics of Don't stand in stuff and Run Away from the big beam of fire. I would have to say though that in my experience Valiona can be a lot easier than either Magmaw or Omnotron. Especially with groups with low AOE Dps in regards to Magmaw and Weaker healers/tanks in terms of Omnotron.
