So I'm still stuck debating between leveling one of my alts for arenas, probably will be my dk or mage since they both work better in the comps I want to run...

I have been leveling as frost, I'm 73, where should I spend points after hitting howling blast? Also, if I dual spec blood will I be able to solo elite/group quests easier? Will I be able to que as tank without wearing any tanking gear? Not sure how to spec for that either.

you can spec as tank without gearing tank gear but you'll get faceplanted unless your dps gear is solid, you'll have like no parry or dodge at all lol.
Is not as bad as it sounds but your mileage may vary depending on the healer in turn.

Edit: I always solo'd most elite quests as unholy in full tank gear for what is worth <.<

Soloing group quests and whatnot would be easier imo as frost at that level vs either of the specs. Lichbourne healing with deathcoil, glyph of dark succor, and ghoul sac should be more then enough to solo most group quests.
As for tanking w/o tank gear I've tanked lvl60-80 on both Druid and warrior w/o it just fine, so i wouldnt doubt that dk would do just fine. But plate users have some easy access to decent crafted tank gear like the cobalt set or just run through bc instances for socketed items and throw epic stam gems in them. The 3 socket head from zanguarmarsh lasts until late 70s with epic wotlk gems.

I've actually gone to doing a lot of my soloing, like MC and stuff, as unholy, for 2 main reasons: 1, it's way the fuck faster, 2, I can have pet solo the dogs and not worry about the insane 15 minute debuffs.

I leveled mostly as frost just cuz shit dies so fast without diseases, but UH should theoretically be about the same because of the pet. As far as elites, blood makes that kind of shit easy, but unholy can do a lot of it as well. Anything you can kite unholy is ahead of blood or frost due to coi + death coil + pet damage. You can also make intelligent use of your pet's resummon cooldown and do a lot with him.

I don't even know if I want to level it now. We are trying to set up 2 arena comps for our alts and mains... we each have 2 85's (except me till I pick an alt). We have Hpal/Hdruid/Rogue, War/disc priest, and me Lock/either dk ret mage hunter or warrior. Dk and mage are both sub 80, others are already 80.

We were thinking RPM, TSG, WLD, WR+healer, Hunter rogue heals, hunter war heals or idk.

edit: prob just going to run RPM and WLD/hpal. Sucks cause mage is my lowest toon. I hate leveling, really.

Anyone have both keyfob and phone authenticators and prefer one over the other?

I've used keyfob since they first went on sale, and my iphone is jailbroken so I was always afraid to try mobile authenticator on that. However it looks like if you change your root password you're fine anyway.

What about if the phone bricks or I drop it in a toilet or I need to format it or something, would I be screwed? I have the serial saved, but with the keychain if you want to remove it they ask for 2 codes from it - and if the phone is fucked then I can't access that.

For any authenticator as long as you have serial # I believe you can call CS and they'll remove it np. It's when you don't have the serial that they go into fort knox mode and requires signatures and stuff.

is Overachiever (or any addon for that matter) a good way to track what's missing from achievements like # tabards, # mounts, # pets and # cooking recipes?

Cooking recipes yes, the others, not sure about the others. It's good for the /love for critters, too.

Overachiever is great for any achievements that have specific goals, like the critter achievements; for achievements that are just numbered tallying, it makes precious little difference since the default interface already tells you if you know/own the thing in question that would add toward your total.

How do I view player rankings for a specific fight on WOL?

It keeps showing me and a guildy ranking but I don't know how to bring up the top 200 of that class for that fight alone

Not that I PvP much anymore, but Prot is pretty bad. They really don't have any burst damage and it's likely you'll just be ignored while the other team focuses down the rouge. I'd roll ret (or holy, who can be beasts when played correctly)

shot in the dark... but any good mage or s.priest in need of a guild? Our mage got bored of WoW and was about to quit, but left to go to his friends guild that wasn't as progressed as we are... so we are in need of a new Rdps (mage or S.priest).

We are 12/12 normal modes, all on farm (doubt nef will be on farm for a week or two w/ a new person as gotta teach em the fight.. so it will take a few attempts). and 1/13 HM, but about to kill atra HM for 2/13
