I'd save for two tier pieces since the bonus seems nice (never played enh tho), the trinket is a solid dps increase and you can reforge the hit in it plus in other pieces/gems.

Can't really hold out for BH gear. It sucks if you buy something and then it drops w/in the next few weeks, but any single piece has such a low drop rate that your holding yourself back / gimping yourself by holding out. I think most ppl who needed legs/hands would wait until they did BH "that" week before buying them (the week they got enough VP), but no point in continuing to wait
Is there any way to resurect people in Arena? I thought battle raise was disabled?
Is it possible to kite chimaeron out of his room in phase 2?
Edit: google-fu indicates he gets a 150% movement speed, guess there goes![]()
Tier piece drop rate is about 30% I think, so 3% per class (2% legs, 1% hands)
few noob questions: do hunters need expertise, and can i re-reforge an item?
I can't answer your question, but I'm sure they can

You will get find proper stats priorities in the thread matching your spec.
[edit]
And to answer your question, range can't be parried, and you shouldnt be meleeing. so it's unlikely that stats is useful.
thanks. i read EJ thoroughly when i start up a new class, but it said nothing about expertise in the OP so i wanted clarification. if i asked there id just be banned, so.
Yeah, definitely don't have any need for expertise on hunter. And generally speaking, there's very very few mail pieces with expertise this time around anyway, and typically, unless it's heaps of agility more than what you have it's not even worth considering reforging and wearing.
There's 11 total pieces of expertise mail that were added in Cataclysm. All of it, save 2 greens and the 3 off set mail pvp pieces are shaman only. So the odds of you even coming across that dilemma are almost nil.
mainly i asked because i picked up http://www.wowhead.com/item=56422 today. i'm wearing http://www.wowhead.com/item=62378 so thats why i asked. i'll probably keep the first one in my bags just in case i get critically low on hit someday (not likely). i can always reforge off most the expertise.
I believe re-reforging requires you to revert the initial reforge first. When you drop the item on the reforger you'll get that option, then you can change it to your desired match.
iirc undoing a reforge is free, so it's not costing you any extra.
You also can't reforge off 'most' of any stat on any piece of gear. 40% is what you take off, gaining an equivalent amount of some other secondary stat. Expertise gear should only ever land on hunters upgrading from greens, I don't think you gain any dps equipping a 346 neck by losing 68 of a secondary stat that does something (crit/mastery/haste) for the wasted expertise.
I'm leveling my mage as frost, it's level 70, am I doing it right? Should I be a different spec for leveling? Right now I pull a mob or 2 and rotate freeze/nova/cone and spam ice lance for the most part... if enough mobs are close enough I blizz them. Would a different spec be faster?
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...talent/primary
Yeah frost is definitely the way to go for safe leveling. Usually i open with frostbolt +ice lance (you can fire lance at the same time as bolt if you press it as soon as the bolt cast finishes) and spam frostbolt. Switch to ice lance if you managed to freeze them in place. keep cone of cold for if you don't kill the mob before it gets to you. You should be able to safely pull 6-7 melee opponents and blizzard them all down, though it takes some practice. frostbolt each one to slow them, nova when you have a respecable amount of mobs piled up, flamestrike for the dot > blizzard. keep ice barrier up as a failsafe. You can purposely let the mobs hit you to break your barrier if you didnt aoe them down completely for a free nova.
Correction's right. If you end up needing hit, reforging the mastery(typically lowest priority for most classes) on the acorn of the daughter tree into hit will still afford you better DPS than using mouth of the earth with the expertise reforged to crit or haste.
That said, if you can get your hands on www.wowhead.com/item=52350, it won't be replaced unless you start doing heroic mode raids.
So it's been over 2 years since I last played and I thought I'd give it another whirl since XI is out. I made a death knight today and got through the initial quest line and went to Orgrimmar. What's the general consensus talent-wise for leveling? Currently 58 right now, messing with blood which seems to work well. Also, any pointers for getting back into it? I almost feel like I'm on a different planet.
