which part? the mounts etc? I just mean its hard to not use a character after investing so much time into it previously. I havent touched the dk since cata hit. plus, im more comfortable with DK in general. I just don't want to put in the work to make it a tank if it's not viable.

Our main raid tank is a DK. Take that however you want.

This isn't the general RQT kind of thing, but it's not really new thread worthy so I'll toss it here. I browse the Korean official forums a lot, because they are actually worthwhile, as opposed to the NA/EU whine-a-thon forums. This post brought up an interesting idea of having a new set of training dummies that people could use to practice raid awareness, instead of just the DPS dummies we have now. It seemed interesting, because his idea was the have dummies that will randomly spit out various mechanics (Al'Akir's phase 1, Capt. Planet's phase 2, etc.) for you to practice moving around.

On one hand, I think it's a cool idea because I know I would like to be able to practice my movement on my own time sometimes. On the other, a big part of the challenge of raids is people learning to recognize and react to each boss' mechanics in the actual environment. I personally raid fairly casually (2 nights a week, 10/12 on 10man), so I'm curious to see what some of you who have more experience and raid more often think of this guy's idea for new training dummies.

You mean just like baddies don't CC or gear properly? Doesn't mean they don't design for things to be done right.

Ok just got over 500jc for my mage for PVP, wondering if its worth prospecting and whats the best way to get some returns from JC nowadays.

In TBC/wrath I used to buy any gem off AH raw that I could make 10-40g off cutting, but with it being morning and me able to buy my first recipe I'm not sure which recipe to get and not sure if current AH prices are real and not inflated just cause it's morning.

Is it worth prospecting at all even? elementium ore looks to be around 35-40g on the AH per stack.

Also not sure of my 2nd profession yet. Engineering is the obvious choice for arenas, but I have 4 engineers lol, and I just generally don't like the profession. Enchanting is the other option, any ideas on what these professions might cost if I straightout bought everything from the AH and powerleveled it? Like I said elementium ore is about 35-40g a stack, but I'm sure tbc/wrath ore is retarded priced. We have 200 dream shards, 100 infinite dust, 13voids in our bank not bring used and like nothing else.

buy elementium at 36g/stack or less, prospect it for guaranteed profit. turn each green gem into a cut gem, npc for 9g. Hold onto the blue quality gems you get for 4.1 when prices will rise because of the new gear. bout all there is atm.

It's actually at 36.50 right now. That's not a bad idea.

Still not sure what recipe to get with my 3 tokens. I guess I'll grab the haste recipe. Its mid-day and they are still on AH for ~75g. I have 10 raw on me and they are on AH for 4g each raw. So even if prices plummet like crazy I can still probably get 10-20g min per cut.

Obsidium is better to buy/prospect, buy it if it's 45g or under. and do the same thing.

It's 57 unfortunately. Elementium is sitting right at 36.80 right now, I got a bunch at 32g each before.

As for gem cut I know I said haste before but now I might go with veiled (int/hit) or one of the popular oranges just so they sell faster even if its slightly less money.

Still haven't decided on my 2nd profession for pvp.

edit: hmm obsidium works well too. Spent about 1k on elementium and made a few hundred gold, just did about 7 stacks of obsid too. 30 stacks of ele and 2obsid net me 1386g+over 25 blues lol

thanks ill have to farm some up. Bots must be out hard because prices on all herbs are crashing, bad. Here's hoping 4.1 brings some bannings and more people buying on auction. Not worth farming right now.

I'm in the same boat, I have a TON of blue gems now and enough tokens to buy my first recipe - but none of the cut gems are worth anything at all.

Like I said in tbc and wrath it was always worth around 10g-20g to buy raw gems off ah and cut them... now I have no idea what to do with the blues or what recipe to buy.

I'm going to hate myself for leveling engineering again, really hard to convince myself to do enchanting for pvp when its only so-so.

Yeah, its sad when I prospect a blue gem and think to myself "Damnit! I wanted another green", at that point something is wrong with the profession lol...also @engineering I leveled it up for the helm because my guild is so slow that killing Nef and me getting a helm would take a long time (Still havnt gotten shoulders, loot council keeps giving them to people who then quit their main a week later to raid on an alt)..

I'll probably drop engineering come 4.2 if they don't put in updated goggles because there's really no other reason to have the profession. Hell I can't even sell mechano hog builds to anyone on my server because they don't understand that the vendor mats actually cost a good deal of cash to begin with.

You guys saw my bank alt picture I posted before of my gem tab.... I have two tabs filled like that now..

Dunno what the hell to do with them. They seriously need to buff green/blue/yellows..

And how is enchanting only so so for PvP? It's base 80 stats on rings that cost one heavenly shard to enchant
