8%(5% for DW since you should have Nerves of Cold Steel) will be your special hit cap, any more than that increases your chance to hit with your normal melee strikes. Once you hit that, you're fine to start focusing on your other stats.

awesome. clear cut. thank you much.
For V&T, sending subtlety rogues makes it very simple. Otherwise, you could send mages and paladins because they can immune the stacks and stay in longer than most classes. They also have further reach to the mobs so they don't have to maneuver through the mines.
If you're confident in your DPS, you can always do the burn strat.
How much dps would you need to burn it? in 10 man if you know?If you're confident in your DPS, you can always do the burn strat.
Probably going to do the Mage/Pally strat, if our mage shows up. We do have a priest and can abuse wings (that is, if the dps learn what we are doing!) I'm more doubtful whether we have the dps. We struggle to get Chim10H down, basically wipe unless our tanks pull a couple of stray dodges out of their ass.
Mage/Pally is prob the best way to handle them besides using the Sub Rogue strat. If your mage doesn't show up, just alternate heals/r.dps.
Locks get bane of havoc. You'd have to kill it pretty fast to manage with only 2 heals.
Yeah, looks like people are killing it within 4:15-4:45minutes via the burn strat according to WoLs. I'd imagine it just must get sketchy near the end with all the open rifts, otherwise 2 heals isn't much of an issue considering 1 healer is down in the twilight realm for alot of this encounter anyways.
Honestly, I'm not too sure. :/ We do everything 25. Our set up for 25 is with 5 healers in our burn strategy. We usually bloodlust when 2 good DPS/3 DPS get the first engulfing. It takes a high level of dps and the healers have to be pretty amazing because the damage output gets kinda hectic at the end. We also stack for the blackouts and use raid healing CDs on those.
Is it possible to kill heroic halfus one dragon at a time?
You'll suffer a lot until you get at least 3 of them unlocked. One of them slows down Halfus' attack rate (reducing the rate of MS application), one makes his Shadow Nova interruptable, one slows down the fireballs that rain down from the sky so they are avoidable.
That's what we were doing last night, but the fight is killing our healer mana (especially because of the stacking debuff). We tried with 3 and 4 healers, but maybe it would be easier with a 3rd tanks (if we can somehow get one)? I was asking if it was possible because with HoP/Divine shield resets, we might be able to last long enough until we get to the first drake down (and pul the speed buff one). It seemed like it would be a lot of raid damages, but it's spamming the tanks that killed healers mana, so idk.
10M is so much harder than 25m in this fight. The 25m version seemed like a joke compared to this (more healer per tank, and we were taking a lot less less dmg).
We would probably need better AoE class to take the whelp down in a timely fashion. Both warlock could change spec, but their dps will drop a lot for the rest of the fight. The shaman was doing terrible on AoE, and I think the s.priest was behind as well. The mage and rogues were both doing a lot though.
We pop 3 drakes, ignore the whelps. 3 heal 2 tank. As drakes die we pop additional ones. Nothing special.
If the fight is killing your healer mana:
1) don't stand in fireballs
2) no shadow novas should go off
3) switch tanks often, also don't leave more than 1 thing on the MS'd tank
4) make sure your healers are well enough geared
How do you switch tank often? The debuff isn't going to wear off before 10 stack most of the time.
We rarely get it stacked up to 10 on our tanks. Basically we try to switch when the first tank gets to 5, then every time it falls thereafter.
Make sure you're popping the drake that reduces Halfus attack speed.
You pop 3 all at once Aurik or 1 at a time for a total of 3?
3 at the start, then 1, then 1.
If your tanks are commonly riding the debuff to 10 stacks, you're doing something wrong.
