If I could handle it without this, I would, but until we beat it, every little bit help.

This fight is hell for me. Interupt for most of the fight, aggro control early and tanks swap very often (which is always a mess when you have 4 target stacked), erasing stack on myself and the other tank, and on top of this, avoiding getting insta gibbed with my cooldown. That shit is unforgiving.

How are you interupting haflus when the mirror image are tanking? Shaman?

Mage does it for that, rest of the encounter I make a focus rebuke and kick the rest of them. Also our melee watch for it. If interupts are an issue make the rogue sit on halfus.

We have shaman on interrupts on every fight that needs it. I'm pretty much one of the main designated interrupters in our guild now. It's too good to pass up wind shear since you can keep a mob on lockdown in each fight.

So, I've heard people ravaging about how much gold you can make from resales on the AH via the auctioneer addon, so I gave it a whirl and I am having no luck I am making gold in regards to making a profit from each item even if it is under 100g but how are people making thousands? Took me awhile to get a grasp on that addon but as far as I can see it's all down to knowing what items to buy? anyone fancy sharing some tips?

Unless you play full time, if I were you, don't bother. It's like shares, kinda like gambling, and you gotta watch out for competitors and such.

Guess you should time the time you start buying stuff out and relisting, i.e. saturday morning list flasks mats etc

I find it better to make money from Copper Ores/Bars these days haha, shit sells quick because you need lots of it for JC/Engineering.

Auctioneer relies on trend data to do its job, so if you just started using it you're not going to get very good results.

Scan the auction at least once a day, even if you aren't planning to actually sit down and play the game. (When you start the scan, the estimated time remaining is usually pretty on the money, so just leave it and walk away during that time if you want.) This will keep the auction database up to date and give auctioneer a better idea of how saturated the market is, as well as the StdDev for the price.

Once you've got a week or more of data you should be able to start reliably running reports to find goods for reselling. This is where you have to use your intellect, as just buying everything that appears "below price" will cost you a lot of money and you may not get a lot of returns. I can't really say anything more specifically than that without knowing your market. Apply those economics lessons you learned back in HS/College and you should get an idea for what will actually turn a profit.

Thanks for your input guys, I can see its probably easier if I did the old school grind for gold which Isn't so hard these days.

I guess I can run scans when I am not busy and still make a small profit here and there and maybe I'll master it one day, back to herbing/flask whoring I guess ^^

Profiting off arbitrage is also really dependant on your server's size and economy, as well as the day of the week. You might be able to get away with more arbitrage profits during the week than on the weekends (low supply as fewer people are on, though lower demands too), though during peak times of high item demand consumers may be more willing to pay a slightly inflated price and you can take advantage of that through your arbitrage trading.

I think those people making thousands of gold on arbitrage are probably doing it on big-ticket items like Elementium armours and darkmoon cards. However, if you're willing to run a small army of bank alts to try and fuck with the economy and jack prices up you could probably get away with more arbitrage profits than just going solo on small items. However, if you want to go to that, just play EVE online lol

Couple things to make life easier if you are not doing already. Threat/Tidy Plates, makes target switching/taunting very very very easy. Make DS/clear & BoP macro.

Since I'm assuming you are picking up Halfus/Nether at the start, threat should be a non issue as you are "holding" them til a swap. The Warrior is the one needing the burst threat as he's picking up Storm/Whelps, which should be all DPS's kill target.

Yeah, I'm already using these macros and tidyplate. I'm just saying that doing this perfectly is rough because of the amout of things you have to do at the same time(interupting, stacking debuff properly, controlling the monster, watching your hp, dodging the fire).
Compared to what dps have to do in this fight, it's a lot.

That's tanking =P we don't run with another pally either, so I do all of that as well. I feel your pain, its not so bad though.

edit: Let me know how the Mirror Image thing does @ the start if you do try it out. It made a world of difference for our first kill.

Oh, I did get it right after a few wipes, but it's one of the first time I was overwhelmed by the amount of thing to do. I'm glad I was the one with the nasty jobs though, I wouldnt want to let some people do half of this.

No more try this week, but we will definitively going to give it a shot.

For those who have done Heroic Nef.

Which is the best strat to go with? Theres the standard 2 crackles > kill ony, but someone also mentioned kill ony > p2 > 9 crackles in p3, which method would be the best to try out first? im seriously leaning toward 2 crackles > kill ony type, seeing as we do this in normal anyway.

We dps Onyxia until Nefarian lands, dot classes keep dots on Onyxia(lol) and we DPS until 2 crackles. Once 2 go, we finish off Ony and we only just dot Nef up in P2 while we take the chromatic prototypes down. This is probably the safest bet.

Also, tell your guild to save up for a mirror of broken images. That item is a godsend for most heroic encounters and it's mainly good for that fight. You want to pop it right when the electrocute/crackles are about to go up and it will negate pretty much 80% of the damage.

Yeah, mirror saved my life countless times on normal, but then again playing a druid i have barkskin/surv instincts there for most crackles, our raid leader is determined that 9 crackles in a row will work, i however am sceptical about it but its atleast good to know that 2 > 7 is the way that others would do it too.

We preferred Killing Ony right away. If you think about it you have to do 100% damage to Nef at some point inthe fight anyways. Why not do it in P3 when you have one less Dragon to tank and your raid isn't as split up? Getting through P1 asap eliminated random timing with killing her before certain Crackles etc. Just makes it a lot easier.

Agreed you need your raid with Mirror of Broken images for that fight.

just hit level 84, barely started deepholm. Did all of Hyjal, skipped vashj.

Should I do/continue deepholm, or go to Uld/TH?

Horde? I'd go TH, more fun quests there, and you can chain them really fast + CoC for bonus exp if you can get 4 guildies to come help you out for 5mins.

Anyone can tell me why I can't activate Divine Guardian whenever I want? The tooltip say 100 yard..which should be the whole freaking zone, but when I was tanking onyxia, I couldn't click on it to nerf the crackles.

In fact, I seemed to be unable to use it unless I was very close to someone.
