How do Mirror Images on heroic halfus work? My raid leader is a mage and said that the moment a healer heals anyone in raid they will pull aggro from Halfus since the images are based on the mage threat table. Not exactly sure how the strat works so I couldnt really rebuttal that viewpoint.
How are people's tanks for this heroic? We keep trying this with 3 tanks, all 3 tanks with some heroic blues on in different slots. Our healers are a priest/pally/druid. Tanks are a warrior/pally/DK
On that fight I often am closer to 40y from the MT.
Hmm, that would explain it.
And fuck that tooltip, why does it take blizzard so long to fix that? (or do i need to reset my cache first?)

Divine Guardian
100 yd range
3 min cooldown
All party or raid members within 30 yards, excluding the Paladin, take 20% reduced damage for 6 sec.
This is how it displays for me, I guess its not fully updated correctly?
I don't think you would be able to hit the middle of the arena with DG. When I tank Ony shes pulled pretty close/tight to the wall and we have one healer who stands relatively close to me, so I can hit him with HoS, DG etc.
edit: It isn't nearly as powerful as it used to be though, on Heroic Magmaw its lost alot of its use as well. It generally only hits 2-3 people I'd say since we all spread out quite a bit on that encounter.
Our Mage Pyro's Halfus, blinks to the stairs, as Halfus gets near pops Mirror Images and watches for the first interupt on Nova. He then calls out for the tank to taunt/pick it up. I'd say it saves 10-15seconds on the pull, which is alot for doing this encounter undergeared, with alts or working for that first kill. It isn't needed but makes a big difference in delaying the MS stacking.
We have always used a Pally & Warrior tank for the encounter. We have switched off doing different roles, Storm Rider + Whelps = Tank A or Nether + Halfus = Tank B and neither seem to make a difference.
We have tried using 3 tanks for the encounter while learning it, and it didn't seem any better if not worse. 2 Tanks, 3 Heals, 5 DPS is how we have killed it since day one. Only thing I would say is try both, 2 or 3 tanks, ask healers for feedback.
edit: I asked our Mage in game just now about Heals possibly pulling Halfus off Mirror Images. He said no way that they will keep aggro til they die, disappear or are taunted off.
Deepholm until you unlock therazane tabard (unless scribe or dont give a fuck about enchants) then TH for the higher ilvl gear, and more exp.
Edit: For Halfus we use Pala/War as tanks (both in 359 tho), our first kill had HPala and Retlol so we had 3 bubbles; we've done it with 2 bubbles(tank and ret), coupled with a hunter to MD pull halfus, we only use some ranged person to cover up for the very first interrupt, in case war cant charge to halfus, after tank tanks lookout for the novas while everyone else kills drakes.
We do this with 3 tank on 10man, usually its Warrior tank (stormrider & time warden, when time warden is dead picks up whelps) Paladin (Halfus for boping malevolent strikes) Feral dps main (specced into tank) on nether. resto sham/disc priest/holy pala as healers.
First target is the netherdrake, burned down with heroism, by the time that the nether is dead pally should have bopped then gotten about 5-6 stacks, druid and pally switch for debuff from then on. nether >time > storm > whelps is the order we typically go with but with the ammout of aoe going on it really is irrelevant. as long as your dps dont stand in fire it really is simple.
I ended up skipping deepholm since my main focus for this toon is resto pvp and to get arena ready asap.
It was definitely a good choice. With COC I hit 85 by the time I was done with the maw of madness area. So I ended up doing 100% of hyjal, 25 quests in deepholm, and that far into TW to hit 85. Really only did instances for the daily and quests inside and that's it. Pretty happy with the result even though it's slower to quest in TW, but the loot got me into heroics right away.
Regarding shoulder enchant at the moment I'm way too lazy to go through the quests in Deepholm on Rogue and Paladin.
I've resorted to spending 1000 honor on the pvp enchant for Rogue only at least temporarily. I gain the base stat gain but lose out on 25 mastery.
Will be free this weekend is when i will go and collect exalted with Therazane on Paladin. Get tabard/unlock dailies and just spam heroics.
Deepholm aint so bad because I get to unlock two tabards in one go, I just hate it after doing it 6 times and going for a 7th![]()
We didnt have a mage last night, but we were using body and soul to buy some time. I was able to kite it until he get slowed and start his first cast (which is all we needed really).
wrong thread...
Does anyone know when we can expect 4.2? It seems a lot of work has gone into it at a much quicker pace. So hopefully it's out soon?![]()
Sweet, that means it's only a month away!
