It'll keep ME busy for at least 4 months because our progression is shit and I usually keep up 3 or 4 toons raid ready.

Aww man they're slowing down progression artificially more than ever before lol
VP reduction, I guess to compensate for the "only 1 new raid thing"
Followed by what seems to be 2 factions to grind rep in (what is Avengers of Hyjals? Is it seperate to the new Argent Tournament thing?) (1 to grind tokens, the other to grind rep)
I dunno if I can be assed to grind rep (although I will eventually) on 4/5 chars
Although I guess if I end up doing it I suppose their plan has worked.
We were done with VP after a few weeks only for t11. slowing it isnt a bad thing.
Less VP is good, i dont want to 'outgear' the content (read: normals with terribads/ average players) too fast, we're not good but normal mode is just fucking eh now, with decent players you've never needed good gear for it.
Doesn't it just seem to be a cop-out to put out less content by making it overly grindy?
People hated tol barad dailies, I doubt this is going to be any different lol. A daily is a daily no matter how many sprinkles they try to cover the turd with.
Gonna be bored with dailies within a week.
Will still grind them probably.
If I need daily "tokens" or w/e the fuck they will be to get my blacksmith patterns or gear then yeah, ill do them while alt tabbing to read something like I did with the TB dailies after day one.
Anyone else as happy as i am for the effect of fandrals staff for feral druids? Makes me glad im playing feral druid this expansion.
It's neat for sure, just stinks its on such a long CD if you use the staff outside combat. I'm not even a druid yet I wish they'd do that with all the forms. A flaming moonkin would be fucking epic.
That's a point.
Currently VP can only be used to purchase some accessories.
Does that mean all T12 gear will come from the raid itself?
Because now it really does seem there's an artifical extension of the first 3 raids and its gear, making it actually required/worthwhile to get, as it initially I thought about pooling resources on my new dinged Rogue and concentrating on the next tier gear, but right now I don't think that's the case.
I'm trying to split my effort across all 4 chars that I enjoy playing (well, was 3, until I realised how easy it was to kickass on Rogue) so I'm trying to decide whether pooling up JP and honor now in advance and selling excess JP would be more efficient than trying for more VP.
I'll probably grind the dailies on my main (DK) and then call it a day for a month and then continue grinding on my other chars.
T12 gear will likely be the same as it is now, hands legs chest from vendor and tokens from staghelm & raggy likely.
Ah I questioned this because on the PTR a release has been marked for release in about 2 weeks, and so far the latest update on the VP vendors is that it only sells accessories. Making me wonder if they are literally making some heroic T11 gear a requirement in progression before stepping into Fireland raids.
There is normally a couple of release builds
Question about ascendant council: If i have the lightning rod on me in p2, and i need to switch buffs (air/grounded), what do you guys do? just eat a death? The rest of the raid was slow in switching their buffs so I was really backed into a corner about what to do.
- You have around 30 sec to switch debuff. If you're on the ball, you should always have enough time to grab it before or after the lighning rod (whole process take 15sec top, and you still have a few second before the lightning rod proc)
- Shock is ~100k dmg, earthquake is ~100-150k depending of armor. If you ask on vent for healing and cooldown (hand of protection/sacrifice, divine guardian, any shield), the odds that you survive it without debuff is extremely high. I generally save divine sacrifice and divine guardian (30% and 20%) dmg reduction whenever i see someone in trouble, and anyone should do that
- If no alternative are present, just cross your finger and pray for the best. However, chance is that you could have done better, and that someone in the raid could have saved your ass.
Switch buffs promptly. If you get rodded, wait to get zapped, then switch buffs.
no amount of cooldowns can save someone from a hardened skin earthquake, but the thundershock is avoidable just by one personal cooldown. lightning rods are always priority to get out of the raid. wait til its out, run back and get the debuff if you can. you have so much time to do it
Our guild stays whole time on wind buff (I think the Terrastra tank switches buffs, more out of well, they being in the way/boredom), so yes quake is deadlier than thunderstorm.
