Thanks for the picture.
That seems too low. I see yellow dmg from one spell landing for much higher than the total damage that is listed there. Even when I click on a player to expand it and it shows individual spells, it is showing #s much higher than that. I'll try it again tonight and look at it again.
Ohh.. so I was looking at the dps tab, is that actually showing damage per second and that is why it seemed low? I figured it was just a tab showing the dps classes.
Someone said that anub'arak in trial of the grand crusader is unkillable due to his selfhealing thing at 20% or so, is that true?
and, how many tanks/healers and dps do you think I'd need to run icc25 hc nowadays?
and how different is lk 25 compared to lk 10 hc?
It's not true, but you have to be not dumb. We've killed Anub HC since cata launch.
LK25 HC has 3 valks per wave instead of 1. If you have sufficient healers you can just DPS through the transition phases which makes the fight very, very easy. If not, it's still an easy fight with a full raid, but defile can still cause wipes.
Anub is doable just fine with a guild (expect some massive damage under 30%), but in a pug, I wish you good luck. I havent tried it since 4.2, but the average cata players could barely pull more than a good lk players a few months ago, and it made the fight impossible for healer (or I should say, average pug healer).
As for lk25, it's really easy if you have range dps downing him during phase transition. With bloodlust, you can usually skip phase 2 (and defile completely). Phase 1 is the worse with pug since the exploding trap are retard magnets, and one mistep is going to wipe the whole ground.
2 tanks for icc is enough. You can probably manage out with 1 if dps are good, and people know how to misdirect, but people tend to be really bad at old content.
Is spirit bad for resto druids? This dude in our guild is rolling for everything like rings/necks without spirit and saying it's the worst stat for r. druids..
is he full of shit?
Well not so much as bad, as having huge spell power boost from intellect stack, plus crit/haste/mastery from gear without spirit will improve his healing power over just spirit with mana regeneration.
The same is true for paladins and shamans (unless designated mana tide bitch), dont have a priest so cant talk about that class.
Unless you have Shard of Woe / 378+ gear in pretty much every slot, you still want spirit on pretty much every piece.
Few questions:
1) Just hit 85 on my 1st character (Alliance). What should I do now? I'll be queing for dungeons as I can, can't do heroics yet, but other than that?
What about the dailies people talk about doing? I visited Tol Barad and saw a bunch there, but I don't know of anything I would really need from those commendations. How/Where do I find other dailies that will be useful to me? I started out Feral Druid, but have been doing balance most often lately and could say balance is my main spec.
2) What is a good way for me to farm Justice Points?
3) Just to check if there is anything I haven't thought of - Any suggestions on gold making? I have Herb/Alch at 525 (Transmute mastery).
1. Fireland dailies, easy 365 item right off the bat, also quest in hyjal gives 365 cape too. Whenever you see Fireland Trash farming available in trade, get on it. It's a grind but you'll get a few 378 epics, from rep and trash drop.
2. Random heroics, spam it and get 359 tiers and stuff from vendor, and start doing ZA/ZG when you have enough ilvl.
3. Truegold transmute, flasks and pots from herbing. If you got balls, can solo fireland trash for boe epics/rep, not sure how boomkin would do it, but i think it's doable.
there is a video somewhere, it's not too efficient as a boomkin but its absolutely doable. (at least some of the trash is)
I was able to find some dailies last night, but only like 6-10 of them. I accepted two that request 150 marks of the world tree each, so 300. After completing those quests I open up more dailies? Are there other dailies for marks that I just didn't find? I did the dailies at Malfurion's breach.
Yes more dailies open up after you get 150 marks and complete 1 quest, the other set opens up after another 150 marks.
is Ragnaros norm 10m harder than Nef 10 hc?
4th night wiping and pretty sure we're not going to get anywhere tbh.
Rogue or feral druid for leveling purposes and pvp at 85? My rogue is already 62, feral is 25, but that doesn't matter as I can get to 85 in a matter of 3 days. I'm leaning towards rogue even though feral's opness in arena because i'm sure it will be nerfed sooner or later, but thoughts? Also i'm horde and I don't like Tauren or trolls too much lol.
we're having problems with 40% transition. it's like people just forget what the fuck we're doing and dont slow/stun the sons enough so we get a large explosion which kills at least 3 of us.
our roster isn't entirely composed of 18 year old nerds so it's expected that we will wipe a lot until we kill it. Then after a few weeks it becomes second nature.
