If you want a few other tips....
with Trap Launcher + Explosive Trap, you actually want to Trap Launcher>Some Shot ability (steady[see below], multi, anything), and target your trap while it's firing/on GCD. This has 2 benefits:
1. It lowers human error in targeting, you aren't sitting not using your GCD while you target.
2. Trap Launcher as of a patch or 2 ago turns off auto attacks 'cause bad hunters broke their own freezing traps as they fired them. As such, if you do Trap Launcher>Explosive Trap, your autoshot is off for a full GCD (which is obv minor, but we're talking about optimizing!). If you do Trap Launcher>something that turns on auto>Explosive, you restart your autoshot immediately as trap launcher is an off-GCD ability.
Also, if you're marks, be sure you pause after your first multi-shot (or basically do trap launcher>multi>explosive trap>more multis to combine above issue with launcher + this issue and solve em together!). If you're a decent distance away and fire 2 multis on back-to-back GCDs, you'll spend 40 focus on each instead of 40->20.
As for macros...I'd suggest a stopcasting+feign macro (as well as stopcasting+silencing if you're speccing it for heroics). You also want a macro that is /startattack, then steady/cobra. Otherwise your autoshot won't start until the steady/cobra completes (you lose 1 shot any time it isn't on and you steady). Also, a hawk/fox toggle on the same button is nice.
