Yeah ofc. Enter, go straight forward through the 3 packs, up the stairs on the left or right, then take a corridor north iirc until you get to Kael's room.

Not sure what the trick is to soloing it. I've tried to trio it with another Hunter and a Druid. We failed everytime because Mind Control was hitting all of us and we'd kill the two pets then it would reset because the three remaining(us) were Mind Controlled. According to the WoWHead page.. Mind Control is only suppose to hit two random members. We even all picked up the dagger so we could dispel the other two when they got Mind Controlled. Killed our idea of trying to farm the Phoenix mount. We haven't gone back to try since.

Sounds like you were pet-tanking it.

When he MCs, he doesn't MC the main tank target. That person needs to use the dagger so they can dispel the MC.

Wrong.

If you're pet tanking it or if you're duoing/trioing whatever, tank him on one side of the two statues in the room by where he starts, the rest of the group is on the other side, when he yells OBEY ME! He just tried to MC the tank, run out DPS for 15-20 seconds and run back out of LoS. Once he phases at 50% you need to all get behind the statue because he does one more MC, once he's down on the ground and running for you all it's safe for everyone to be in LoS.

Been soloing it since my hunter was full 359 and duoing it on my DK weekly.

Pets often count as players for this kind of mechanics (I remember killing myself in Ahn Qiraj summoning my useless brewfest female dwarf). Try to do it without pet, or have someone else tank (and use the dagger)

When we trio it we just let the rogue tank it and stand on top of him. He never gets MC'd.

Cool Cool, I skipped all the bosses and cleared 1 side of trash and engaged the boss.

I fail to understand why all tacs/strats require you to run towards the entrance and then back (to stagger/seperate the kills I see)

What's wrong with killing the adds in the boss room and doing the entire fight in there? I didn't find any of them to be a threat to me. But basically when Phase 3 started, and I was still at the entrance (I forgot and killed all advisors at entrance) when the weapons came to me the entire instance also got pulled on the side I didn't clear, which killed me.

The boss's room seems big enough. The DK solo video had him pulling the boss to the big/larger room, presumably because of more room to fly around and LoS if needed, but I don't understand the justification for it.

I didn't have time to reattempt, but I'm thinking like this because I want to reach the boss with minimal effort/clearing. Any possible explainations?

I had the same impression you had.
Watching the video, maybe the DK was in DPS spec and so couldnt really handle all 4 lieutenants together. That's the only conclusion I came up with.

I examined some articles a bit closely. Turns out in Phase 3 when the Advisors get brought back into the fight, you fight all 4 together.

For the first three phases of the encounter, you do not actually fight Kael'thas but rather his advisors and the summoned legendary items. During phase one, Kael'thas will send each of his advisors against the raid individually. Once they have been defeated, he will then summon seven legendary weapons and a shield which must also be defeated as soon as possible, as in the third phase he will resurrect his fallen advisors and the raid must fight all four at the same time. After they have been defeated, the raid will fight Kael'thas himself.

I didn't see any "weapons" myself on my first attempt, but that's because half of the instance was on top of me (I put up a good fight too!), but I don't think they'll be much harder than the advisors.

One of the advisors will cast Conflagblah_I can't spell it but it basically makes you walk around out of control for 10 seconds, so it's a potential threat to a player as you'll have 3 others beating on you, and one of the other guys also fears you for 6 seconds. I guess if they do it back to back it's possible to quickly die from it.

In this very case, I might as well forgo tank spec and go Frost and glyph Pillars of Frost. Combined with a crit PvP trinket and my anti magic shield I can essentially be in control or break out of CC and rush them down before they become much of a threat. Might as well spec into Lichborne too as I can use it to escape fear. It just means I'll need to death strike more than obliterate in this scenario.

Kiting the adds to a room NOT the entrance should work (one of the other boss rooms I guess, just need to kill it first). In this setup if I cannot fully solo the advisors down when all 4 are ganging up on me, the little breathing room/space between the Kael's room and one of the boss's rooms should be more than enough to take 1 or 2 down at a time. Plus, as seen on the DK solo video, during the last phase when I need to keep away from him, I can sit there and howling blast it to death!

Can't wait to try it now.

For the Hunters in WoW

Started up a Hunter today, and hit level 10.. put my point into MM as my spec. Is this viable for leveling, or would BM be a better choice?

BM makes your pet a better tank for you, making leveling safer. I'd pick up a turtle or beetle and get yourself a mega tank once it gets thunderstomp.

once you get rapid killing and rapid recuperation, MM is way better for leveling, since you almost 1 shot everything anyway

www.theincbear.com is a good place to start for bear druid information. As for reforging ... you are probably looking at reforging haste > hit > expertise/crit >... Remember you have to actually land crit hits to get savagery to pop up so those should be the last things you reforge. Luckily more all of our agi leather normally gives us an extremely easy choice to reforge. The choice between crit and expertise is purely a personal one imo, but others may disagree. You seem like you have everything reforged pretty well already. Oh yeah, at this point that http://www.wowhead.com/item=71640 is extremely affordable. I bought mine for 2k a long while ago. The belt should be easily purchased for cheap since basically its a total crap piece of equipment for everyone save for bears.

When I leveled hunter I went BM. Demolished shit with kill command. One-shot everything, never took a hit. I had a croc for tanking if I needed, but mainly used a wolf straight up. I had full heirlooms though.

Yeah, no BoA equip on this hunter. So far have been using MM and have not died yet

Same macro as yours, mine works fine.

Not to take the piss, but sanity checking:

1. Did you spec into it?
2. Did you have enough Runic Power?

Any errors when casting it?

EDIT: I generally spam the macro too at full Runic.
