I think you are misunderstanding what I am looking for and talking about. It's ok though, I'll keep them on seperate bar spots.

It also doesn't teach you how to play the class, and feral cat is very precise on watching your bleeds and knowing when you re-apply w/o wasting energy
Again I think you are misunderstanding this here. I didn't leave this example as a whole long macro. The only part of what I listed that is macrod together is Feral charge/Ravage. I don't push one button and just let it all run... I push one button and it Feral charge, then I can do whatever I want and when I want to ravage I push the button again. It uses ravage because Feral charge was on CD and unavailable.

To make it even more clear since you thought that example was one macro for all abilties.. FC/Ravage are one macro, pounce is a macro, mangle is a macro, rake is a macro, shred is a macro etc.. Only FC/Ravage are paired.

If you get something like bartender, you have a seperate stealth bar that replaces your main bar until stealth is gone. This way pounce will only be on that bar, since you can only use it stealthed anyway.

I have bartender and I don't get a separate stealth bar when I use kittystealth...only see that one if I'm playing my rogue. Is there a setting I've missed?

I've had to resort to using stealth/nostealth macros since BC for those abilities.

Depends on whether or not Bar #7 is enabled, which is reserved for in-stealth actions on feral form druids and rogues.

You don't want feral charge and ravage as a macro though. You have like 5 seconds before you lose the stampede buff. let me give you an example of how I open up:

feral Charge > mangle > rake > shred x1-2 (to get 5CP) > pop FL rep trinket > pop TF (since im usually at like 20 energy by now) > apply Rip > Ravage (gives me 2 CP) > Savage Roar > wait 1-2 seconds on energy regen > Berserk > Reapply Rake while I still have TF and my trinket on proc > go on to pewpew

That's how i typically open up on a mob/boss. Hope this gives you an idea while macro'ing them is a dps loss when you can hold out on in until after you get all your buffs up and then use it as a SR buffer. I am sure there are plenty of other ways ppl open up, but this is my style. You just don't need the ravage CP gain in your first 5 CP applications and if your fast you can utilize it better

Thank you for the info/suggestions but I think you are still not following what my feral charge/ravage macro does.

I'll note again I'm talking about pvp and not a mob/boss so a standard opener/rotation won't always go as planned.

My FC/Ravage macro is not keeping me from doing what you just listed as your opener. Granted I am new to the game and I have been using this macro for one night, but I see nothing wrong with it. I still (quoting your opener, Sub gear) am able to - feral Charge > mangle > rake > shred x1-2 (to get 5CP) > pop pvp trinket > pop TF (since im usually at like 20 energy by now) > apply Rip > Ravage.

So far in using the macro for one night I never had a problem doing that exact same rotation. It sounds like you are still thinking the macro hits them both at once.

If it helps at all, this is what I'm using..
    #showtooltip
    /cast Feral Charge(Cat Form)
    /cast [nostealth] Ravage(Cat Form)!

Go to bartender options, click on bar 1, go to state configuration...for what it's worth, you can make more than just your primary bar change based on this also. It can change based on all sorts of things...stances, stealth, forms, etc. Even like Shadowdance is a stance.

I have bar swaps for forms/stances, just didn't see one for kittystealth. Not like I really need one, there's only 6 "stealth only" buttons and they transpose nicely onto macros (ravage/shred, pounce/maim, etc)

How bad is target swapping for rogues? My guild leader seems to think that me going from UH dk to Assassination/Combat rogue might not benefit the raid as a whole because of combo mechanics. The only buff to the raid I wouldn't have is AMZ, and from what I can tell Redirect is the same as Outbreak, (both 1min) and I need diseases up on a target anyways to do any sort of dmg as UH with ScS.

If I go rogue our raid will not have a DK, but we also don't have a rogue (one just got invited as a recruit, but they kind of suck only at 7.8% hit as Assassination w/ 3/3 precision).

The only fight in FL where target switching hurts rogues is Beth, and that's because the adds die so fast regardless of Redirect.
Redirect will do its job on fights where adds spawn far less frequently (Alys, Rag, final cat on Domo).

DK is generally more OP than rogue...Blade Flurry is the best cleave in the game at the moment though. As far as legendaries go, without being too negative, who cares about them. They won't be completed before the tier is completed, at which point you have a vanity weapon that will make farming a little easier, and will be made obsolete stat-wise before the next tier of progression hits (since there will be a lvl cap increase, and blues at 90 will beat it out). If you're in a bad 25man, it's maybe possible that you'll finish a legendary before clearing Deathwing heroic, but you'll be 7/8 or w/e heroic by then, and may not even ever care/kill H-DW.

Play whichever class is more fun, 'cause it's not gonna make a big difference past that.

    OMG LEGENDARIES, REROLLING

target swapping isn't that bad on rogue, but on most fights I'd rather be on my DK.

Ravage should not be shared with shred at all, since we don't even use it stealthed, only unstealthed. I can agree with pounce + whatever else. Katlan, do you have 4pt12? If so, you want to berserk before you apply rip. I typically start with FC->Mangle, rake, shredX1 or 2, TF+Berserk, rip, ravage shredx1414234 sr and go from there.

I'd say it's OK to macro berserk + tf to the same macro, while still maintaining a tf macro seperately, you can macro tf + the FL seed if you use it.

I don't have an optimized kitty build, so I don't have the nonstealth ravage option

My druid is bear first, tree second, kitty third

Isn't one of the benefits of bear-druid the ability to bearcat on fights that kinda switch between 1 and 2 tanks, and thus increases raid dps (Hi Mr. Ragnaros!)

Yes, which is why it's not optimized for kitty. Armory is in sig, look at it yourself. There's just no room for Charge+Stampede if you're taking bear talents.

Brutal impact is very situational. A lot of bears these days have 2 specs, 1 of which doesn't include it. Not sure I understand a bear not having the -6% spell dmg either though!

Old LK wisdom that boss damage was never considered "spell damage"; I don't know how accurate that is anymore, may change it if I can keep my attention on the game long enough to get raiding =P

I've never heard of boss damage never being spell damage, it certainly counts as spell damage in cata though
