Can anyone gimme the stat weights for a survival hunter?
Can anyone gimme the stat weights for a survival hunter?
4.3 will be my 1st udpate to experience, when can I expect it to hit? I am currently making decent money from selling some current weapons and don't want to get stuck with them when they drop in price because the update was announced/came.
When you're bored out of your mind and want to quit, that's when the update will be released.
It's hard to tell when exactly because Blizzard only give a few days head up usually, but it should be near the end of november or early december. The raid (dragon soul) has yet to be tested, and this should take around 2-3 weeks, and there is another 2 weeks of finalizing the update after.
Basically, start worrying about it when dragon soul raid will be over, until then, you're safe.
Perfect, thanks.
Does Bealroc give any sort of damage modifier for any reason? I had a lesser geared DKs abilities hit for mine which makes no sense at all.
RNG is a possibility. Terrible play can still result in hitting harder...example, sitting in Blood Presence will make you hit harder per hit due to Bladed Armor, but it's going to be less DPS overall. I highly doubt he did that, but it's a possibility. Trinkets that give haste vs nothaste can affect average values, even if the haste one is better. Stacking mastery as a Frost DK can result in higher frost strikes, while not being better DPS than haste. Prepotting + a 2nd burn pot vs you not using it (1200 primary stat is pretty huge...~45sec uptime on a fast kill is pretty significant, esp if it's up for lust duration). It's also possible you errored and didn't use PoF on CD and he did or something, I dunno. The list goes on, but basically, not all gear upgrades result in a higher average hit, and some things can vary....also if he's running 2h frost vs dw frost, 2h will technically hit harder on Oblits and whatnot, except dw gets 2 hits for every 1 of 2h.
Hard to tell what it is without looking at logs and gearsets, and even then, it could still be RNG. But no, Baleroc does not give a damage bonus.
Oh yeah he could have prepotted. I did more dps than him but his average hits were higher than mine, which was really weird. He had a 359 and a 353 weapon, which made it more strange. You know, frost presence would explain pretty much everything. His diseases were hitting harder too. I am thinking he might have done a mastery+FP build. I'm actually almost certain that's what it was.
I have an Ele Shaman @ 70 and I am wondering if it gets anymore interesting beyond that. I haven't played him in a few weeks because I find it boring and I've been thinking of deleting him in favor of a tanking/healing Paladin since my character slots are full on my server. Am I going to regret deleting my Ele shaman or is 70-85 going to be basically the same thing?
Well, once you hit 69 you have your entire elemental tree filled out, so you aren't gaining anything that changes playstyle at all...hex and unleash elements are the only real spells you'd get that you use, so nothing special. More haste theoretically gives you more surge procs.
Really though, what exactly are you looking for? I don't think many classes are more or less interesting to level...
Does anyone have 4.2 mage BiS trinket lists for each spec?
Trying to find a definite list, but different sources keep telling me different things.
Currently I run combat rogue, 7/7 normal FL working on heroics. I do about 30k on baleroc normal and I'm top dps.
My guilds dps is lacking, but we are missing armor debuff as well as spelldamage debuff (curse of elements). We'd like to do hardmodes, but as mentioned our dps is lacking. I'm top dps on almost every fight, probably because we have bad luck with loot (we do 10mans). Is it worth switching to mutilate full time to bring the spell damage buff to our raid to help them out? Expose armor might be easier to put up on the boss as well being mute, as I'm not putting that up now.
Patchwerk I'd lose about 600 dps, as I run 2x 378 combat weapons, and for mute I'd run a pvp weapon+378 offhand.

The dps loss for assassination seem to be close to 15% at worse. If you're missing both buff, I'm going to take a guess and say it's more than worth it since you're increasing everyone dmg by a few % at least.
I need a little help/advice for my feral burr. First off, here's my spec:
http://us.battle.net/wow/en/characte...C3%A9ko/simple
I have some stuffed gemmed for 40 agi but I'm thinking that maybe I should change those to 20agi/30stam now that my gear is a little better. Also, I have the 'unheeded warning' trinket and I was thinking that maybe I should swap it for another stam trinket? I'm 153k health idle, unbuffed. I don't seem to have any issues with surviving or threat (maybe it's because the of the AGI stacking and the UW trinket)?
-Never gem mastery, forget about your socket bonuses unless they're really good.
-To activate meta, use 2x 20 agi 20 dodge gems. The rest should be pure agi or pure stamina gems. I guess shifting gems (agi/stam) are fine too.
-Glove Reinforcements (BC leatherworking made) for gloves over mastery most likely an upgrade. Reforge gloves to dodge.
-Stamina + Runspeed boot enchant over mastery.
-Get rid of unheeded warning for anything, it's a god awful bear trinket. Fluid death is better, so is tia's grace even. Reforge either to dodge.
-agi wrist enchant. reforge bracers to dodge
-reforge helm to dodge.
You seem to really love mastery for bear for some reason...
I thought bear mastery was quite good? I followed my build a little after one of the top guilds on our server and how their bears gem/chant. The only question I had was primarily about unheeded warning so I might look at getting something else to replace it.
Bear mastery is good as is dodge. If anything, I think your opting to reforge into dodge always, but gem mastery is a bit odd. I don't entirely agree with Slott necessarily (but my druid is an alt who's MS is resto anyway), but there should come a point when dodge is being DR'd a bit too hard to make it worthwhile. Dodge until that point is good, mastery after. Regardless, I do agree with Slott that gemming for mastery is kinda weak as a druid, agility or stam both seem like better options (I prefer agility), though I generally think mastery socket bonuses are fine (agi/dodge in yellow, agi/stam in blue).
That would be correct. I went from being in a top 100 guild to raiding with RL friends, so our current makeup is shitty but it lets us see content and play the classes we like to play. We have a hunter for the crit damage. Our comp is:
Blood DK
Prot Pal
Holy Pal
Holy Priest
---Inconsistant healer spot, typically resto shaman (trying to recruit a rdruid with boomkin offspec)
Arcane Mage
Spriest
Hunter
Frost DK
Rogue (Me)
So I can go Mutilate, and hope that the damage I lose from not being combat is made up by the damage bonus the spriest and arcane mage gets. Our main issue is underperforming. I just got my 4pc in our last raid, and I've been #1 on almost every fight, #2 when I'm not #1, and that is an issue to me. We run without an armor debuff, so there is no reason for me to be on top of meters for these fights. Everyone is in similar gear, just underperforming, and it's making the jump to hardmodes almost impossible since people need to straight out bring more dps.
Is expose armor a DPS loss when you don't have someone else bringing the debuff?
