Do these even exist?
There are many Ally dominated servers. You can see the server ratio for raiding guilds @ http://www.wowprogress.com/realms/rank/us
As you can see, most of the top PvE servers in the US are very horde dominated. There are actually very few servers that are "pretty even horde to ally". With the ease of server transfers and the complete disregard to faction balance the paid server transfer system has, most servers are incredibly imbalanced one way or the other.
Most battlegroups are near 50-50 ally/horde win/loss... When I say near, I mean pretty damn close.
What you want is an ally dominated server, preferably decent population, which there are many of.
Gonna finish my pally from 64 come 4.3...what spec? I have a DK tank collecting dust so im considering prot
With slower queue and subpar DPS in 4.2, I would avoid Ret until further notice unless you really want to play a dps (I mean, they are still fine, but you might as well go for a spec that is more desired)
Didn't they remove battlegroups a long time ago? Do I remember wrong?
How much dps should I be doing in random heroic pugs atm?
I'm playing DK, as frost, haven't played since like... march? I was pretty well set up for early raiding back then in a full set of 346 blues + exalted epics, 1 piece of t11, and a couple random epics including weapon (2h atm because I have worm-breaker vs 2 blues if I dual wield). I'm getting some upgrades from troll heroics and of course justice/valor points now. (been playing again for 2 days and only an hour or so a day)
I've been doing around 16-20k depending on the fight, peaking around 28k in aoe stuff. I don't remember for sure, but I think I was doing about 15-16k on dummies as unholy when I quit, so it seems like with luck of the draw and a few decent upgrades I should be sitting at the very least at 20k on single target bosses, but I'm not. I'm generally around 16k on single target in heroics. Not sure if it's just an issue of needing to practice current priorities and just general rust, or if I'm doing something way wrong and am even farther off than I should be.
yes, but only for random bg's and random dungeons, iirc
I have a somewhat random question, maybe someones seen/knows the answer.
If you signup for the Warcraft annual pass with a credit card (say november), and at some point get gametime cards for a year, would you be signed up for warcraft till 2012 november (without requiring to pay per month), or till 2013 november (and having to still pay that 1 year annual pass at some point even with game time cards added).
Quick one: Void Storage
Anyone using PTR know if:
After I modify my T13 gear to look like T10 for example, can I throw my T10 items in Void Storage and still retain the look?
I understand I need to have the item to make my gear look like it, but I was wondering if Void Storage had some special properties that makes the game think the gear is not on you.
I didn't test it, but I'm pretty sure you can get ride of the item after you transmogrified it. It's essentially going to work like an enchant once its set.
As I understand it, when you sign up for the annual pass you are signing a "contract" that you will pay for 12 months of service. How you choose to pay that is completely up to you. If you choose to use a recurring CC payment for 6 months and then cancel your recurring and input 6 months worth of time card payments that is completely up to you. You even have the option of purchasing the D3 CE and receiving 4 months credit as well. They will get your money, and they do not care how they do it.
Yes, once transmogged you can Void Storage or even delete the original piece of gear. The item will look like whatever model you changed it into and will even state the specific armor piece you transmogged it from. ie if you kept your original Dungeon set, the transmogged tooltip would be different than someone who used the Darkmoon Faire item to transmog it.
Just remember unlike in other games with this feature (ie, Aion), you can not transmog off a transmog.
16-20k dps is actually pretty good in mostly blues. Most pug dks I see in full za/zg gear do much worse. If you plan to keep playing 4.3 which should come out first week of December just make sure your justice points are capped so you can quickly get the ilvl 378 tier and off pieces. If you get full ilvl 353/359 with some valor point tier pieces 22-26k should easily be obtainable single target in heroics. If you feel that you dont quite understand the 'rotation' try downloading CLCdk addon. It will help with the basics until you get use to forcing the right runes to come off cooldown with runic empowerment.
I just signed up for a month for the first time since... the free week they gave when FL came out. Anyways, after a week I'm capped on hp/jp/weekly vp and I have all the 359's I can use on 2 specs from jp. I have no real interest in pvp or raiding (anymore) so I'm basically throwing away 3/4 of my sub fee now.
80k for 2 months? Damn lol. I got 3 months from a guildie for 20k.
Took a look at the announcement date/release date info for the previous WoW expansions, and it looks like they've been announced more than a year before release. Any reason to think this time will be any different?
they announced at some point that they were going to accelerate the expansion releases from now on.
Niwaar&Kaylia: thanks for the info! I was just deciding last night if I want to collect Season 10's CP gear for the look, because if it's like Season 9's CP gear (although it was only a different shade) which was removed, then this batch would also be removed.
Could any veteran Prot Paladin help me out with a few suggestions or tricks, especially pull-related?
Coming back to pally from my DK, I just have so many things to keep my eyes on I end up messing up a lot of times. Plus, even now that their gear is almost on par (5man HC level), I have way more troubles with threat-on-pull with my Pally than my DK.
Couple doubts, as well:
- Is Consecration glyph worth? The extra cooldown messes when I'm pulling trash packs, or moving.
- Would you suggest to macro HS with other skills, or have it as (yet another) button? I'm inclined toward the latter, but sometimes I just forget about it.
- Should I prefer Inquisition over SotR full-time when doing 3+ mobs?
