LFR on my server took like 20 sec que for DPS
LFR on my server took like 20 sec que for DPS
I passed on a piece of loot in LFR not knowing how loot system worked.
FML
is there no way to queue for lfr and only get fresh runs? getting a pop in about a minute but it's 3/8 ><
The way LFR loot works is retarded. Did it on my alt and you can theoretically go months w/o getting anything at once a week since everyone rolls on anything for their spec and there is no semblance of loot rules
It's not once a week. It's like heroics, you can spam it all day.
Shit is so cash.
ohhhh the loot is once a week >< damn
So looks like DPS are out of luck, whereas tanks (first) and then healers (second) would be able to collect all their loot quicker first, overall. As tanks only have 1 competition per piece of tank loot.
The loot role bonus applies to the role not spec I guess.
All I do is tank these days and 3 of my 4 chars are tanks. So I'm semi-happy =p
Anyone know why the Fall of deathwing isn't available? says "You may not queue for this. This instance is not yet available"
Any prerequisite? Or is it just not in game yet?
1 week gating according to blue posts. They don't want people hurting deathwing ... yet.
Will be out next week.
Are there any game-changing or essential add-ons? I've tried looking on a few sites, but I'm unfamiliar with the whole process and many of them seem to be thrown together by small children.
Something to make buff icons bigger would be nice, as well as a larger cursor. Shit's so colorful and active I can't find it some of the time. Anyone here use something like that?
Add-ons depends mostly of your classes, but the answer is yes, it's hard to perform as well with only the basic UI.
For starter, Recount and DBM are very useful. Recount is a parser that let you know how much you suck compared to other and this is usually the first step to improve. DBM is going to issue a bunch of warning that help you keep track of the monster's abilities. It's a little overwhelming at first, but it's definitively a nice helper when you learn an encounter. Recount and dbm arent the only one, but they are probably the most popular.
Blizzard's new raid UI is fine for most players, but you can also use something like Grid+clqiue or Healbot for improved customization. It's particularly useful for healer who want to keybind their spell and click directly on their UI to cast (which is the only real way to heal), but it also works for every kind of support abilities.
Building an efficient UI is also a priorities. By efficient, I mean an UI where all the information is grouped and easily accessible (ie: your abilities and recast, your hp, your target can ben seen at the same time). For that, I use pitbull (move anything around) and Bartender (let you minimize and add bars, remove useless thing in the UI).
[edit]
To download add-on, I use curse website, and keep them updated with curse client. It takes too long otherwise.
Am I the only one not seeing casting bars on Zon'Ozz eyeball trash? I can kick based on model animations but it's weird.
there's quite a few trash mobs in the raid and new dungeons where I'm not seeing cast bars at all. I just assumed I couldn't interrupt.
What's the kill order for these tentacles? They gave us more trouble than any bosses last night. Just send a melee on the small one, tank on big fat tentacles, interupt the eyes?
What my LFR did when I went Hitler on them was All save one tank on eye, Melee on claw, ranged on flailers.
Noone died, it worked perfectly.
Also did 23k HPS Holy Specc'd....fuckin Divine Hymn buff is a godsend
Speaking of Battlegrounds PvP, would you advice to go Holy or Retribution for Paladin?
I'm kinda interested in being helpful with heals and such, but would also enjoy a melee class if Ret can be competitive.
