I've not got it yet but occasionally I run into times where I used Horns and everything else is waiting to come back up. As dual wield, I imagine that when the double rime procs, I'd use them both right away so I get more runic power.

I'm rarely/never RP capped.

My gear is beast for solo cuz I'm dps main for raiding, so I'm soloing in blood spec with 378/397 dps gear. It's all reforged for haste though, not crit. Honestly think that's better anyway.

Yeh I suppose more haste would mean more death strikes overall.

I'm just thinking in the context where if 50% of my strikes were crit (which goes up to 100k) then it might prove better and not prolong the fight? Dunno how to maths it out but yeh I agree haste is better anyway. For example, fire boss in VoA solo, the Fists of Flame would kill you eventually due to a stacking damage buff on the boss over time.

Not the best example, can't think of anything else at the moment lol, been farming for the mount and that guy popped in my head

yeah I honestly don't know what the stat weighting would be, but I would assume it's pretty similar to unholy, if not even slightly less crit weighted due to the fact that you crit a ton of the time anyway

also marrowgar would be kind of hard without the haste for pure heal quantity heh

btw supposedly on the 2 piece Dk bonus, your double rime procs can be overwritten by a single rime proc if you oblit twice in a row, so keep an eye on that and weave in a HB before an Oblit if you happen to get a 2proc, just incase.

I'm using 2H atm because Baine gave me his pretty axe while I'm still waiting on another 1h to go with a Treachery's Bite I have in my bag so I can go back to dw. I don't think it's that bad tbh, but I don't raid besides lfr right now and new heroics so I don't need to melt faces with extreme predjudice as ya'll do lol.

Also 2 set makes aoe way more fun. HOWLING BLAST ALL THE THINGS!

If I buy an item for valor points and use it as a transmog item, can I sell it back afterwards and purchase another item? Aka I want to buy the warrior deathwing pieces and transmog my DK gear to it, but it will be like 7k valor points total just to get the pieces I want >_< (aka helm, boots, belt, gloves)

Any recommendations for spending the initial Valor Points I'm getting as a newly 85 Enhancement Shaman?

I was thinking of saving up for the 397 body/helm, and buying the 378 trinkets/rings/etc with JP until I get to a point where I can start spending VP on those as well.

Helm/shoulder isnt a bad idea since justice point can get you something decent in other slots. I often go for rings/trinkets since it generally take a while to replace them (need 2 of each).

Other than that, it's really hard to tell which piece you will replace next, and because of that, just go for the biggest upgrade. You could always check the loot dropped by the first few bosses in DS and see what you're likely to get first, but I wouldnt worry about that.

Any tips for gaining a few extra seconds for Madness? We are doing green > red > yellow > blue. Hero on Green and Hero again on DW. After we clear the first sets of adds on DW and then the 2nd set of tentacles we have about 40 seconds before enrage. We tried ignoring the 2nd set of big guys but they just rape the tanks and as soon as the tanks go down everyone else does w/in seconds lol. Maybe saving hero for the 2nd set of big guys and then burning em asap? Any tips to shave a few extra seconds? Fight just has a very tight enrage

I'd suggest finding out which pieces will remain BiS and get them first. It'd be pretty frustrating to spend your valor on body/helm and then replace them for set bonuses.

In my case, the neck, relic, and cape are bis even after heroics, so I'm getting those 3 first.

Also @mere, no, you can't transmog to something then return it. Using something for a transmog will remove the returnable status.

How are you able to one tank with Impale? We are having issues with it as it is. Taking a second impale with the 100% debuff up, simply one shots our tanks. A 400k armor mitigated hit even with SW or GoAK running is enough, but doubling that is basically a wipe. Especially with the Elementium Bolt hitting about 3 seconds before the second impale.

I mean, its definitely doable, but 4 times, with limited CDs I just dont believe I could take double impales on all 4 platforms and make it through.

I'm not entirely sure how the fights goes, but couldn't you have the aspect take the first impale on each platform? Or is that bad. I was doing LFR and the group did a weird way about it and I went to the platform I usually went to and they were like no go to this one and by then the tentacle spawned and started hitting the aspect lady and it did impale on it.

Do you have a priest? I know Guardian spirit is something we use if the tank doesnt have a CD up on any impale. have the tank shield wall as the bolt hits for sure and make sure people are all popping every defensive cd they have. No reason for Dks to not use AMS/IBF and others to pop all their shit. Druid healers should be starting to tranq just as the bolt lands so there isnt a second delay. The 4pc tank bonus is amazing too for the fight, make sure to get it even if you have to do a guild LFR and funnel tier pieces to your tanks for a week or two.

Especially considering other 4piece bonuses, not sure on some but I like how the DK 4piece is a nice heaping of RNG on top of RNG with a sprinkle of RNG!

no disc/holy priest. our priest is shadow. we run: war and pally tank, shadow priest, feral druid, rogue, lock, hunter, resto shaman, holy pally, resto/balance druid depending on the fight. Will prolly just try to 2 heal it. 2 healing shouldn't be too big of an issue since the only time ppl seem to ever die is w/ the bolt on the last platform and thats usually a tank who dies because they are getting impaled at the same time lol... but adding a dps just means everything dies faster so less healing overall.

seriously?

tank 4 pieces are "oh here make your shield wall a full raid wall"

dk dps 4 piece is a 25% chance to proc on an ability that's a 45% proc on frost strike when full rune sets are on cd
