It really depends on if you are getting a long Fading Light on the second set. I have seen 10 second Fading's where the cd is still running if I wait til the 1 second before it pops to click it. Basically, being forced to eat 4 seconds of a Fading or eat an hour and get to dps more. It still sucks, if you get comboed like that, you can see 3-4 gcds worth of down time.
It definitely makes it easier, but if your 2 healers are subpar, it can make things worse. We killed it with 3 healers the first couple of weeks with zero trouble, but decided to make things quicker doing 2.
Yeap, I'm pretty sure I would have reached top 100 for frost dk on 10 man if I hadn't had exactly that happen once, and I'm almost certain I would've if I'd not gotten any fadings.
Also yeah my guild is mostly scrubs so we started doing it with 2 healers and hero right at the start just to make it die as fast as we possibly can.
Behind me is a rogue at barely 31k, then enhance/mage/hunter all at 25k and a lock at 21k.
Personally I have no real issues myself. But I have seen time and time people mistiming it. With those randomly high debuff times, it can push it extremely close.
I did a lowman BT run, got up to reliquary, invited more people, after Reliquary died I dc'd.
I thought without Raid ID's anymore that I could zone back in and do the rest of the bosses I havent killed since my Raid info says 6/9 still. The others in the group finished the rest of the bosses when I was dc'd. When I zone in it tells me that it's 9/9 and to accept, I didn't hit accept and I zoned out.
Why did this happen when I thought they removed "Raid ID's" for a reason?
How much less damage is Frost vs Fire Mage while leveling? I know fire is very crit dependent, and my crit rating will be pretty poor while leveling.
are you eating all the twilights too or something? lol... I'm pretty sure the odds are near zero that you can be taking the 2nd fading 6 times a fight and in 4 weeks of kills you've never had a fading that would interfere with a twilight
I took them on our first kill, but we usually have rogue/s.priest on them. The only time I almost missed it is when I used the CD with less than 1 sec left on the debuff. I thought I was going to die, but I still made it.
I don't know, maybe I just got lucky, or maybe tank can't get a full duration. We did have 2 dps die from that at some points.
You just have to use heroic will for 2nd light when it has 4 sec left and no less
Fire mages, VPLC or Necromantic focus? I've been using VPLC but starting to lean towards NF since 4.3 because of our buffed DoTs, in addition to my 4p I am combusting more often.
I only have the normal mode versions of both.
Edit, just picked up Cunning of the cruel 384 version, it any good?
I feel like I should be getting better fps than I am. Anyone have any tips for upping FPS? I have done the txp optimizer thing and the leatrix latency fix.
turn vsync off?
Any experienced warlocks here? I'm leveling one and not sure what spec I want to end up using. For pvp i was thinking affliction, but for 5 mans and raiding im not sure what i want. I enjoy affliction, but it seems shitty for trash. Which has the best burst? Which is best for boss fights?
When it comes to Warlock, go with 1) the spec you enjoy most and 2) the spec that you are best with. Yes, Affliction is bad on trash, but for the most part, all DoT classes are bad on trash, which makes all 3 specs less than stellar in this phase of the game. For raiding, all 3 specs are pretty damn close at the moment. Demonology may be a tad bit higher than the other two in some fights, but the movement involved in most encounters really negates a lot of this. Of course Demo will always be better in fights that require AoE, but except for a few moments in Madness, there are absolutely zero AoE fights in Dragon Soul.
Warlock spec vs spec is perhaps the most balanced of the pures. So go with what you enjoy most.
